Not only did she correct the mistakes of the previous stylist, she was more reasonable and (most importantly) the style has held up for over a month. I've only paid this much for a haircut once or twice before now, but the treatment is worth every penny. Shelby truly listens, gives feedback, and tried to incorporate everything you're looking for, including showing pictures of other haircuts with similar styles to compare and contrast. I'm telling you, we must have talked a full 5-10 minutes about what I wanted before I even got my hair washed. She has years of experience at a "high-end" salon prior to opening Sparrow. On-trend, and really knows what look you want to achieve for how you wear your hair and your lifestyle. Oh, and one thing that drew me to her was all her clients look super happy, meaning she really got it. One last thing is that she is very easy to talk to throughout the whole process, and not just about hair. Btw, she really uses eco-friendly products that minimize the use of chemicals that are damaging to your hair, body, AND environment. PS. Chandara is simply the best. It took me years and years to find a stylist that I truly loved; for a very long time I bounced around trying to find the right person, and I have been so happy I finally found her! I've been seeing her regularly for over 3 years now and the only time I let someone other than her touch my hair was right before this last visit (was traveling and desperately needed a cut) and, as you can see, my hair was quite wrecked! I won't make that mistake twice. Chandara is a perfectionist and an artist. She does take her time during appointments and asks lots of clarifying questions along the way to make sure that you walk out with exactly what you were looking for and more. Another thing I love about her is that (if you are open to it- she does this in a refined and appropriate way) she gives you great advice on how to care for your hair and yourself as a whole during the appointment. She is such a genuine person and I am so lucky to know her! The salon itself is very well-appointed and has easy access to parking, which is always wonderful! Can't say enough amazing things about Teresa! Long-story-short I had my hair done on the morning of Oct. 26, which was the day most of Sonoma County got evacuated due to the 2019 Kincade Fire. Despite my fear of what was going on (and my hair entirely filled with foils) there was never a time Teresa rushed my hair coloring process or made me feel unsure, during our appointment. Instead she made sure that I felt relaxed and assured me everything would be okay. She did a fantastic job on my hair! I'm happy to say, I finally found my favorite hairstylist! This salon is SO DANG CUTE! They have Kusco Murphy and HairStory products, which are amazing and smell absolutely divine (and perfect for that easy to wear hair that takes virtually zero effort, aka my JAM). Sparrow is such a beautiful salon with an amazing vibe. The products smell heavenly and are all toxin free. Love! Teresa at Sparrow has been doing my hair for over a decade and I am so grateful she does hair. Not only does she do the most beautiful color (I tried many others before her and no one compares) but more important for me since I love my long hair, she keeps it healthy! Shelby has done my hair for years and she always does an incredible job. I am so glad she opened up this salon. Her choice of products are good for the environment and they are priced well. I have curly fine hair and her olaplex treatment makes my hair super healthy even with blonde highlights. She also does really great cuts, everything you need in one chair. Chandara and Ramona are also very good at cutting any style hair and Ramona does feather extensions.
