This was the breakfast from the menu (not their scheduled weekend brunch). I LOVED it here!! Was staying at the hotel and my local friend said it's a must for bfast. Did not disappoint. The staff were also super nice. I got some jellies to gift on the way out :)

Food was ok. The pancakes are def overpriced it was like $21+. Steak and eggs and potatoes lacked flavor.. service was good. Waiter was nice.

Solid food. Amazing pies. Always get the pie of the day for dessert, which is a personal size. Dining room is huge and has a southern cafeteria feel to it. Some of the sides you can tell are mass cooked and taste old from sitting around. Entrees are always fresh though. Crab and corn chowder Light and sweet. Almost zero crab though. Still decent though 3.5/5 Pork chop Large portion cook week. Nice smokiness to go with the sweet berry sauce 4/5 Pie of the day Homemade and delicious personal pie. As good as a pie can get 5/5

After unwinding from the day, we had the pleasure of dining at the restaurant inside our hotel, and it exceeded expectations. The ambiance was serene and inviting, the food was exceptionally fresh and flavorful, and our waiter provided outstanding service. If you're in the area, especially if you're staying at The Charles Hotel, this restaurant is a must-visit

Such a great find! We went as a group for a friend's birthday brunch. Parking Off street and there's a parking garage Food Everything was delicious, recommend most if not all menu items

3.5 star is pretty accurate. Love the fact that this is one of the few restaurants that open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner in Harvard square. It's more geared towards faculty, staff, and visitors given the price point. It's located on the second floor of the hotel. They have outdoor seating as of September 2023, not sure if outdoor seating continues throughout the colder months. Came here for dinner and the food was great. The service was okay, but it's Boston, so what do you expect. They take reservations via OpenTable, which is a plus. Probably won't be back anytime in the near future, but will keep this place in mind. Ambiance is good for a date night or a large group of friends/colleagues. If you plan to use a tax exempt corporate card, make sure you have a printed copy of the tax exempt certificate with you. Also bring your photo ID for verification.

This beautiful hotel restaurant was an excellent choice for breakfast. I was truly amazed by the interior as soon as the elevator doors opened; it felt like stepping into an upscale library. The ambience of the restaurant was great. I ordered coffee, freshly squeezed carrot juice, and an avocado spread. My friend shared hash browns with me. We stayed there for over two hours, enjoying breakfast and conversation. It's an excellent choice for an out-of-town guest looking for a breakfast spot.

Overall a great experience. Beautiful and nice restaurant. Our server Semah was truly wonderful. Came for the Sunday Brunch Buffet which was quite pricey after tax/tip for what it was, but definitely had some amazing options and left VERY full and happy. Wouldn't come regularly for the brunch buffet just due to price, but happily would return on special occasions!

I was pretty underwhelmed with the food quality for such a highly reviewed place. The steak and eggs were subpar, and the salmon bowl lacked flavor. But, the ambiance was excellent, we had a table right next to the window with some sunshine and great large open layout in the dining area. And the banana pudding dessert was amazing! Delicious beyond words with caramel and English toffee!

Great to come back here and see that while menus and staff change the quality of food, service, ambience and dining experience stay the same. HT's food remains wholesome, flavorful and fairly priced. It is not easy to maintain high quality year after year in the restaurant world. Kudos to Henrietta's Table for doing so. Scrod was tender and cooked perfectly on a bed of crispy potatoes. And the seasonal salad with watermelon so refreshing. Enjoy!

A lot of vegetarian options cooked in a healthy way

Do they offer gluten free options?

    Yes

Is there validated parking at henrietta's table?

Looking for something good to eat and we happened upon this place within walking distance of our hotel. The menu was mysterious online and didn't really represent what we stumbled into that night. We show up and speak to who I believe to be the hostess. We had some nice small talk while we were heading to the table. Half way there she asked where we were from and we told her "the most beautiful land in the world, Memphis, Memphis, Memphis, Memphis". IFKYK. She was like, "no way". Yes way, I say. She then tells us she lived in Memphis for a long time and this place is modeled after a place she waited tables at while she lived there. Turns out she was the owner. I asked what it was and lo and behold she says one of my favorite places in our delightful town. Flight. I then put two and two together and realize why the menu was so hard for me to understand online. It's just like Flight. You can get a made "flight" of foods or drinks or you can build your own flight of food from all of the choices. Now I'm stoked. I love Flight! I had a nice IPA and C had a nice fancy drink too. We both had soups to start. They were pretty good. We both had a flight each after our apps. Food was good, not great. Portions were insane. We probably left half of it there. It felt like such a waste. Had I known that it was going to be so much, I would have ordered a single dish. Each one seemed like a good sized meal in my opinion. My favorite things were the lamb chops and the grit cake that came with one of my dishes. I poked around at the others some but all of these. C's pot pie was interesting with a chicken tender shoved in it. I didn't care of her other two dishes. The Beef Wellington was fair at best. We skipped dessert as we were so damned full already. Nice place, great ownership, I wish the food was better. Very nice steak knife I will add. That means a lot and pushed the star up one. That may sound strange but I don't care. 26 - 65

Wow talk about a hidden gem!…read more I hadn't heard much about this place so I wasn't sure what to expect-- located in Inman square with nearby limited street parking (there's a metered lot on Springfield street nearby!), Oak Bistro is a medium sized restaurant with a simple but chic decor and true focus on hospitality. When we came in we were greeted and our coats were taken and put away. They have rotating specials that our server walked us through. We ordered all three of the mock tails on the menu -- Odin's Oracle was a sparkling elderflower and passion fruit drink, the Northern Rose was fruity with a slight thick cream of coconut base (and the tables favorite!) and the last drink was a warm ginger drink. They all came out looking beautiful. For food, we started with the Halloumi Cheese which was delicious and perfect for sharing (comes with four pieces), then tried the Blueberry Ricotta Cornbread (really well made and yummy but needed a little more butter spread) and the fried burrata (huge serving of burrata with balsamic, fig jam, warm bread, just as good as it sounds). We tried the Braised Short Rib Croquettes which were stuffed with short rib and topped with sooo much yummy cheese. We also had the Pappardelle braised shore rib Ragu which was truly delicious-- would highly recommend. For dessert we tried a special menu bread pudding which was a perfect end to the night. Our leftovers came perfectly packaged in little baggies with dish names and dates written on them which is so cute and thoughtful! Overall I would order everything we got again and was so pleasantly surprised by the caliber of food at Oak Bistro-- get in and try it before it gets too popular!

My partner and I couldn't decide what to get from their a la carte menu so we ended up going for the four-course tasting menu instead ($85/pp), picking the omnivore and pescatarian options to see if we could try more items. We were actually a little underwhelmed at first, but the tasting menu got better and better after each course. The tasting menu started with some of their in-house pickles and ferments. We had some onion, green beans, and cucumbers, which I wished were crunchier. Each pickle had a good amount of acidity but I wouldn't have minded if the flavors were punchier. The first course of the tasting menu was a salad. Visually it just looked like a pile of lettuce, but they added a savory garlicky sauce and a sprinkle of asparagus salt that allowed the dish to feel refreshing and hearty at the same time. The radishes were crunchy, peppery, and delicious, and we were very pleased to find that many of the later courses also included raw radish. We ended up getting different dishes for the second course, one of which involved deep-fried arancini-like balls of risotto with a creamy sauce, and the other had a cold plant-based loaf served with a vibrant garlic sauce. Both dishes featured some fresh greens that balanced the carby heaviness. By the time we got to the third course, we realized that Forage makes their vegetables shine. The omnivore course came with a steak while the pescatarian course had a pan-fried fish, both of which were also available to be ordered a la carte. While we thought that the steak and fish were seasoned and prepared well, the vegetables stood out to us even more. They weren't prepared in any crazily innovative way but the chefs made the natural flavors of the vegetables shine in a way that complemented the rest of the dish very well. After the third course, we added one optional cheese course ($22/pp) that came with even more radishes. The hazelnut shortbread was super buttery and everything went well together. I was already feeling pretty full and was glad that we only got one cheese course instead of two. Finally, the fourth course had a maple semifreddo with seaweed crisps and a caramel nut sauce. This was amazing and something that I'll think about for a long time! I could really taste the maple flavor in the semifreddo, and the cold creaminess went so well with the salty, crispy seaweed and nutty, buttery caramel. The balance of textures and flavors in the dessert was excellent. Along with the tasting menu, we added one wine pairing ($60/pp). We liked some of the wines so much that we asked for more information about them and learned that some of the wines are imported in small batches. After experiencing how well vegetables are prepared here, I'd love to visit during different seasons to sample their vegetarian menu items.
