The problems that have been created for us after Henris did our roof just keeps growing. First the roof had such complicated leaks that it soaked our support beams and mold grew. - It took weeks to get them to approve the warrantee, and them weeks later to fix the problems. Next, there was another leak after our warantee expired. Then, after all of these repairs, the shingles were cracked. Now, we are replacing the roof again and we find that there are now two layers of shingles on the roof. they didnt even remove the existing old shingles, even though they said they were doing that! The new roof is costing us even more money to replace their bad work. This company is horrible. read more

I recently had my roof replaced by Henri's. Shortly after I noticed that none of the vents were painted. When I asked them about it, I was told they don't do that anymore because people complain they don't like the color after. My neighbor hired them to replace their roof the year prior and all vents were painted by them. I asked if they would paint them and was told no. After spending $25,000+ with them, I thought the least they could do is paint the vents. I will never refer them to anyone and if you do hire them, get it in the contract if you want your vents painted. How cheap are these people. Customer service obviously is not a priority. Henris to the rescue. The very steep, 65 year old cement tile, roof on our church suffered damage with leaking into the sanctuary. My mom's tar and gravel roof had been leaking due to the heavy winter storms. Dan came out twice to inspect the roof and detached garage and gave us a very reasonable estimate. I was concerned that the scheduling would be a long wait but they were there within a very short time. There was a lot of dry rot that needed repair and we hired a separate contractor for that work. Henris coordinated with them to have the roof done quickly despite the hot weather. Henris cleaned the job site every day before leaving and left no mess afterwards. In late February we had Henris at moms house out in the country of Petaluma. 2 story house on the side of a hill. The crew early, was quick & efficient and a pleasure to work with. They were there for 2 days & did a beautiful job! She had them do the flat roof over her patio room as well as the shingle roof on the rest of the house. She hired them because of a recommendation from a family friend, they are a locally owned business & their reputation. They did as promised! And because of the excellent job they did at moms house I hired them to replace my roof in Rohnert Park. When I called Dan in mid-October, he said he would do his best to have it done before Christmas. Next thing I know he's calling me on a Friday a couple weeks later and asking if Monday will work for me. Ernie (the crew foreman) arrived about a 1/2+ hour early, his crew was a little bit later. They started off with cold blue skies, & shortly after noon they were scrambling to cover my roof with tarps because the sky opened up with a downpour that lasted 10 +/- minutes. My roof was most the way striped. After the rain stopped Ernie came in to check my house for leaks & was on the phone with Dan letting him know the details. Luckily the only spot that got wet was in the garage & it was minimal. I told him it wasn't worth worrying about. Because of the rain & the setback it caused they were here for the roof on Monday & Tuesday & came back on Wednesday for the final clean up. They did an amazing job! Dan said they'd try to get it done before Christmas & they got it done before Halloween! AND it was done before the nasty rainstorms we just recently had! I had received a few other quotes before hiring Henris & chose them for the same reasons mom did. And I am not disappointed at all. As well as having our roofs done, we both also needed our gutters replaced. Dan gave his recommendation & we had that done as well. If you need your roof done, I highly recommend Henris. Henris Roofing re roofed my Bodega Bay house a little over 20 years ago. Time came when the flat and pitched roofs needed replacing. I was pleased that the first job lasted so well so long. So many roofers wouldn't even return our calls but Henris made time for us in their busy schedule, completed the work with great skill and professionalism and explained everything clearly. They created a channel for water to flow (that the original roofers missed) and repaired a hole in the stucco. The team tested to make sure they got the leak and got all the work done before our mold/water damage remediation team was ready to start. Can you imagine a business that is successful and being so honest that they refuse to sell their service because it's not needed ? After 2 other companies came by with estimates to reroof my house prior to getting solar panels installed, Bob Church from Henris Roofing came by and told me not to replace my roof because it had another 15-20 years left in it. The other companies had said the roof was fine but I should replace it anyway, to the tune of 7,000 dollars. To say I'm impressed with the integrity of this company is an understatement. We had a great experience with Henris Roofing. They came by on short notice to repair our leaky carport that is attached to the house and has a tar and gravel roof. They got most of the leaks, and when I called to let them know, they came back immediately and got the rest. They were super nice and efficient. I definitely recommend them. Is ZERO stars a possibility? Appalling service -- horrible work. This company has screwed over my 89 year old mother time and time again. They are NOT reliable -- not showing up for two appointments that were made, unwilling to fix shoddy work. As a result of their inferior work, there's a large hole in my mother's garage ceiling, and with the recent rain, there are buckets everywhere, and the hole is growing larger. I'm sure there is significant structural damage at this point, and our next step is a lawsuit. read more

We once had a great experience with this company, but currently we have been very very disappointed; they re-roofed our house for a very high price and we now have dry rot on our eaves, only three years later. They feel that their work was satisfactory, but we have been through a series of other roofers coming to examine to bid on a reroof or repair and not one of them has felt that the workmanship was at all satisfactory. They have been slow and reluctant to respond to our concerns and have made only a shallow attempt at trying to please us. We hired them based on our past experience with them, over twenty years ago, and knowing that they were a local long time company; but we really feel that they are no longer the company that we wish they were. Henris Roofing is horrible! They are a huge problem to communicate with, their workers are rude, and they could care less about your neighbors. A roofing project can be loud, and intrusive. They often need to park large loud trucks on the street and it can really be a hinderance to a neighborhood and if it's in a commercial district then the bottom line of a local business can really be effected. Some of that can't be avoided, but if they don't complete a job on time, get the proper permits, and consider your neighbors you could have a bigger problem on your hands than a leaky roof. Henris is horrible about this. Henris can't seem to complete a job on time and you'll be left with neighbors who have no one to blame for the unnecessary rudeness, debris, noise and parking issues but you. Not only am I upset but so is every one around me. read more

A most frustrating experience with Henrys. Wanting to support a long time local business, I had them re-roof a flat roof area a few years ago and decided to replace the entire roof, Wanting an estimate I called, and called, and called, leaving message after message over several weeks, yet could not get a call returned. As Henry's are only a few blocks from my house I ended up going there to get on the schedule for an estimate. Now, 4 years later, I decided to use them again for another roofing project so I called, no one ever actually answers the phone, so I left a message, days later still no return call so I called again.....amazing someone picked up, but no, he could not schedule me, but would have someone else call to put me on the schedule. A week later and still no return call despite 2 more messages being left by me. According to a veteran local Real Estate Agent, I am not the only one with this complaint about Henry's, it has been a problem for a long time and the reason people go elsewhere for their roofing work. How sad that a local company should treat customers with such disregard. If you want a timely roof repair or re-roof, I suggest that you go elsewhere. read more

An unexpected cancellation moved our job up sooner than the anticipated September start date-now we're already for for El Nino or whatever nature may bring our way this winter! I have lived in Petaluma since 1980. I like to support local businesses whenever I can. Two years ago I called Henris to do a small roofing repair job. All went well and they did a satisfactory job. However, I recently had need of ther services again. I contacted them 3 times and never received the courtesy of a reply. There is no bigger insult. I woud not recommend them to anyone for anything.
