All of the physical therapists and assistants at this location are exceptional. The entire team is very respectful, caring and really good at what they do. They all keep an eye on all of the patients to ensure proper execution of the exercises. They are all friendly, fun and helpful, making sure each patient gets the best results. I attended this location for several months, both before and after rotator cuff surgery. My results have been excellent. I highly recommend this facility.

We were fortunate to find Maple Manor as a place where he could do his rehab with the care of an excellent staff over-seeing him 24/7. We were at Maple Manor for almost 3 straight months and we can't say enough positive things. The nurses were consistently knowledgeable, helpful and extremely kind to my father. At no point, did we ever see anyone "having a bad day" and taking it out on my father. They were the utmost professionals. The nurses were very intelligent, always had a smile on their face and consistently made sure my father was comfortable and happy. I should also note that they were always nice and welcoming to my mother who stayed with my father every day. The physical therapists and occupational therapists are also top notch. Not only were they kind and patient, but they did great work with my father. I can't recommend them enough. The staff at the facility were always accommodating and went out of their way to make sure my father's needs were taken care of. Whether it was people at the back office, front desk or the janitorial staff, everyone did a wonderful job. Any time we had a suggestion or complaint it was immediately addressed. Finally, Dr. JJ and Dr. Stella were amazing to work with. They really treated my parents like extended family. Thank you so much to everyone at Maple Manor. It's truly sad when you are met with dry, surly inconsistent reception from staff. When individuals seek out facilities like these it is a cry for help with your physical and mental wellbeing. Why should I believe I am able to get better service from a fast food restaurant than a medical facility that I have placed the total care of myself or loved ones. I believe the entire staff should require weekly if not daily sensitivity training reinforced with a performance management regimen. I am not blaming the warm body that was hired to fill a slot. I blame leadership for hiring and allowing this less than substandard behavior. In other words, 'you are only as good as your leadership team.' If an employee respects their leadership and has been trained properly, they would never put them (and the organization) in a bad light. I am now expanding my search for a more suitable facility. It should be a calling for those that wish to work in the field of patient care and not simply a paycheck. Five weeks later, she left weighing just 87 pounds. During her stay: She developed bedsores that went untreated for days. Staff placed a catheter in due to a supposed "prolapsed bladder," which was later confirmed by the hospital to be completely inaccurate. She had unexplained bruising on her temple, along with swelling around her eye. A nurse said it was because she sleeps on that side. Mom could only sleep in one position and had never before bruised like that. We took her to the emergency room, and imaging revealed a fresh subdural hematoma. When staff failed to change her clothing, I did so myself and discovered her bra had been put on backward--with the cups on her back. Her glasses were routinely placed on top of a tall armoire, leaving her unable to see and increasing her disorientation. She became malnourished while there; staff did not document what she did or did not eat because there was no order to do so. I'm thinking full trays of untouched food may be the basis of an order. At no point did staff alert us to bruising, eating problems, or changes in her alertness. However, they did call whenever my mother was complaining or considered "difficult." The facility was severely understaffed. On many occasions, I had to transfer her from bed to toilet, feed her, change her, and even help hold her legs so staff could straight catheterize her. More than once, I assisted staff with repositioning her and changing her bedding. Tim showed no concern whatsoever when we raised these issues. A close friend of ours, who is a nurse, visited and urged us to do everything possible to get my mother out of the facility. I formally requested my mother's medical records. The request was accepted, but to this day, the records have not been provided. My mother passed away two months after her stay at Novi Lakes. I do not doubt that her time there contributed to her decline and death.

The first day there my daughter and I stayed with him at the facility for nine hours during this time the nursing assistant came into the room once and this was after I inquired who would be taking care of him. I was told by the RN that the nursing assistant would come into the room every two hours to check if her patients needed any assistance. The man in the room with my husband kept screaming for his diaper to be changed. I returned to the facility the next morning at 9:00am my husband's bed was soiled from his legs draining and his bandages hadn't been changed. The only cover he had on him was a throw that I had brought from home. I was told that he urinated on the floor and soiled his blanket, I had warned the staff that he'd try and get out of bed to go to the restroom, I was also told that he had become combative with the two female staff (not spitting or hitting) but wouldn't follow instructions. A male staff member was called to his room. My husband said the male staff was mean to him with words, to which he told him my circumstance is bad, but I'm still a man. After this he stated the man was nicer. When I asked about his linen being changed and his bandages changed the RN told me wound care, and the nursing assistant would come and take care of him. I was concerned about the lack of attention he was getting and requested hospice to transport him back home. His wounds weren't being taken care of and there was no respite care for me if I was staying with him at the facility, and worried about his care while at home. Administration came to talk to me and asked if he could stay an additional day for them to show the level of care they could provide. I told her in two days the level of care was evident, and I know how mean people can get when a complaint has been filed. I wasn't willing to sacrifice my husband's comfort under the staff's wrath. To solidify my response the RN came into his room fifteen minutes before the EMT arrived to change his bandage. So that was 9:00am to 2:15 pm that his bed was soiled, his bandages on his leg were heavily soiled. I didn't see the nursing assistant at all this day and never met anyone from wound care. When the EMT arrived at 2:30pm they commented on the holes in the wall next to his bed, and his wet bed. I warn anyone thinking about taking family to this facility, they seemed nice, but your loved ones won't get the attention they deserve.

Staff is generally pleasant, but lacked medical knowledge, had no clue my mother was dying. I had to request her to go back to the hospital when staff said she was fine. I insisted on an ambulance to transport. They called ambulance for non-emergent transport. Ambulance arrived and couldn't even make it out of the parking lot bc she was in such bad shape and instead took her to closest hospital (Henry Ford), instead of hospital we wanted her taken to where I had driven (Corewell/Beaumont). She died at HF a day and a half later. Do not recommend for loved ones.
