UNPROFESSIONAL & UNSAFE!! What a joke... Henrys Cab! I got this number last night from a co-worker that recommended Henrys Cab. He told me that he had used them a couple different times and was impressed with his driver, a very friendly dude. I called the number my buddy gave me @ around 11:30 pm. Some rough sounding guy answered the phone. I could barely hear him, as the music in the background was so loud, it sounded to me like he was in a bar. At that point I should have just hung up, as this was very unprofessional. Henry had to ask me 3 different times to repeat where I wanted to be picked up and the time. I had to excuse myself from my engagement, in order to speak louder so he would understand me. He then asked if I would text it to him. I did. He agreed to pick me up at the Melrose at 2:30, no problem, As we hung up, I realized he didn't even bother to ask my name or any info. I was waiting outside at 2:30 and no Henry Taxi; 2:45 still no Henrys Taxi. I called, straight to voicemail. Texted and no response. I put a call into Yellow Cab and within minutes I was on my way home. This company is a joke. I will never use him again and will make sure to pass on the word of this horrible service. Not to mention I will tell my co-workers and friends to never use this company. And ask them to please pass this on to there friends. I use taxis on a regular basis and never in all my years, have had a company, especially a taxi driver answer a business phone slurring his words, wasted. I count myself blessed that he did not show, as I may not have made it home safely. Please anyone who reads this, pass the info. I would hate to see anyone end up a victim in an accident or something more serious because of Henrys Cab. read more

I wish I could give this company 10 stars. They are fantastic. Henry is friendly, accessible and always willing to make things happen. I work at a non-profit in Austin have needed Henry to take care of clients in the DFW area and he always makes things work, even when they are last-minute or complicated. Very reliable, wonderful business. read more

Mr. Henry's cab service was excellent, we would definitely use his cab again! Came right place and on time. Smooth ride and the routes selection was great in traffic hours in dfw. First pleasant taxi ride since we moved to Dallas. Highly recommend. read more

This guy is a pervert! I caught him staring at me several times and it made me extremely uncomfortable. Also, he promised he would be there within 20 min and finally 45 min later he showed up. This made me late for my flight. Call somewhere else if you want decent service. read more

My first and second uses were good, but the last will definitely be the last. The cab driver was extremely rude and argumentative about conversations we had not had, but he was sure we had. I had cancelled the cab ride with Henry, but the service called the day before my original pickup date and said I was still scheduled to be picked up. Reluctantly, I used their service and wished I had not. Henry showed up at the airport on time, but he was coughing and sneezing the entire 45 minute drive. He never rowed the window down, just continued to say he had a dry cough. Now, I have the flu and will spend another $150.00 to get rid or that. I needed to schedule a taxi the night before my flight and was a little stressed trying to figure out how I was getting to the airport, but scheduling with Henry's was really easy! The driver confirmed quickly and was 10 minutes early! The driver took a direct route and was friendly and helpful. The price is really reasonable (a lot more reasonable than another taxi service I almost used.) I'm very happy with the service and would definitely use it again/recommend it to others! read more

I don't like leaving negative reviews, and I want to make it clear that up until my last trip with them, I was a regular with Henry's Cab Service, and had no issues. I travel pretty frequently for business, and have met at least 3 different driver's with Henry, and liked all of them. Time before last, my driver was about 5 minutes late. No big deal for me, my apartment is difficult to find, and it's why I give myself a lot of wiggle room between cab pick-up and flight time. My mistake was calling Henry. Apparently, he had called my driver to bitch at him, and I made sure to tell the driver I wasn't trying to get anyone in trouble. As it happens, Henry had actually given him to wrong phone number to contact me when he was trying to find the apartment. But that's not what this is about. The next business trip I took, Henry himself came to pick me up. I guess because he wanted to make up for being late the last time. However, it all went downhill when he was my drivers. First of all, he took a different route than I'm familiar with, and I couldn't really address my concern because he was on the phone the entire time. Texting, mostly, which really isn't safe, even if you're using voice to text. THEN we get pulled over by the cops! I have never in my life been pulled over in a taxi! The cops even looked at me suspiciously and asked how old I was! Once we're back on the road (after having to take a wrong exit in order to get to a safe area to be pulled over), rather than apologize, Henry starts complaining about the cops and tells me a story about the last time he got a ticket! On my return home from my trip, once again it was Henry instead of another driver. Henry called me when he arrived, which is fine, but then he goes "I know you didn't check any bags, so-" but I had checked a bag, and I corrected him (why would he assume I hadn't?). While I'm waiting for my bag, he called again to see if I was done. I'm afraid I snapped at him "I'll call YOU when I get my bag." When I finally got out of the airport, I convinced him not to try to chit chat with me by citing my headache. He continued to talk and text on the phone the whole time. What was really remarkable was that I heard him give a driver the wrong address and then, after already having bitched out the driver about being late, have to call the guy back to correct himself. (which is what happened to me and my driver). My advice is, if you can, request ANYONE OTHER THAN HENRY. I'm too non-confrontational to do that myself, so I'm just switching to Uber. Bye bye, Henry. Treat your people better and stop trying to drive people yourself. read more

I thought I had made a good choice when browsing through reviews of taxi services in the DFW area. I was wrong. I made my reservation the night before my scheduled pickup time. I received a confirmation email telling me that my reservation had been accepted and that the driver would be calling me 5-10 minutes prior to my scheduled pick up time. I was even given the driver's name. Ten minutes prior to my pick up time I received no call. Five minutes prior to my pick up time I received no call. My scheduled pick up time came, no call. At pick up time I called the cab service, which took me straight to a FULL voicemail inbox. I gave the driver another ten minutes and decided to have my girlfriend take me to the airport. Immediately after hitting the road, I got a call from the dispatcher telling me that the driver was on his way. I told the dispatcher that I was already on the road because I had received no call that the driver was in the area as mentioned in the confirmation email. The dispatcher told me that the confirmation email should have been enough of a guarantee. If that were the case, why did the email tell me I would receive a call prior to pickup? Not only that, the driver was late by more than ten minutes and a call was required to get detailed pick up instructions which I made clear in the reservation notes. The dispatcher seemed somewhat defensive on the phone and sounded as though being ten minutes late was still considered on time. Sorry, not in my book. What's the point of reserving a ride with a cab company when I have to wake up my girlfriend to take me to the airport? The whole point of the reservation was to keep from waking her up during the early hours of the morning! read more

YOU ARE BETTER OFF WALKING!!! We had a trip planned where we needed to transfer from the Corporate Airport at DFW to Love Field, I booked a cab online weeks in advance with Henry's cab and received prompt confirmation. I received a call at 9:25pm the night prior to travel where all our info was confirmed (flights/times etc). Upon arrival we waited over 10 minutes without anyone showing up so we called and had to leave a message. When they called back we were told that since our next flight wasn't until after 1pm they would be there in about an hour to get us. REALLY? We explained that was not acceptable and we had scheduled the cab for when we wanted to be picked up - it wasn't their call to decide when that would be, if they couldn't provide service they should have said so. Then they sent out a driver who barely spoke English and couldn't find us and was very rude demanding that I give him directions (like I know? not from there, seriously!) The dispatcher (owner?) was rude thru all the contacts, repeatedly talking over me to explain that it was our fault that we got that driver because we wouldn't wait the hour for him to send someone else, etc. Are you kidding me? After all that (and waiting over an hour), we told them we were contacting someone who COULD pick us up AND find where we were. They then repeatedly called me offering to give us a "free" ride if we traveled thru Dallas again - as if? Why would service be any better for free than what we were going to get when we paid?? I ended up having to block their number to stop the calls. This is a poorly run small business and their customer service was appalling. Lucky for us we had plenty of time to work out an alternative but if you are pressed for time and/or customer service/common courtesy are things you value this is NOT the company. read more

Most terrible cab service I have ever experienced. I had a reservation to work in the morning and then another to the airport in the afternoon. The morning cab driver was 30 minutes late, and instead of apologizing, he spent the entire cab ride explaining how I was in the wrong for only giving the address and not providing him with landmarks so he could easily find my house. When he dropped me off at work, he mentioned that he would be returning to take me to the airport. I assumed that he was referring to my afternoon reservation, so I didn't think anything about it. That afternoon, I checked out the window of my office and saw two cabs in the parking lot, and got a bad feeling that my earlier taxi driver may have shown up without knowing I had an afternoon reservation. I tried to call Henry, but it went to voicemail. The new cab driver called me to tell me that he was ready, and I tried to explain the situation, but he started yelling at me. I walked outside, and the morning shift driver jumped out of his car and grabbed my bag, trying to get me to go with him. Around the same time, Henry called back, also yelling at me and blaming me for the whole situation. I explained to him that I tried to call earlier, but he accused me of lying and continued to yell at me. At this point I was in tears, and very upset since I am young, brand new to the area and have very little experience with taxis in general. Once the morning cab driver was convinced to leave (with his wife in the front seat of the car), the afternoon driver made no attempt to apologize, even though I was very obviously upset and crying from the extremely stressful situation.
