A happy pic after a good Chili cheese dog

Great Chili cheese dog (Cheddar cheese that is) and fries! Had the Route 66 cream ale soda. The steamed bun was a nice bonus.

I love Henry's and always stop by when I'm in the area. I'm always get a hot dog with fries. Their mozzarella stick are so good and the marinara sauce is not too thick. They're very good for when you want a quick bite to eat.

Henry's Drive-In has been around since the '50s, and they are known for their hot dogs, sandwiches, shakes, and slushies. We came here for an early lunch, and we ordered: +Cheddar Cubes - comes with 12 pieces +a Chicago dog +a Chili dog +and, an Oreo shake Both the dogs were fine, and the side of fries were just okay. The shake was pretty thick and tasty, so that was definitely the highlight of the meal. Staff were no-nonsense - you just place and pay for your orders at the window, and pick the readied items when they call you from the other window. There's a handful of seating inside, and there's parking in their private lot. +tasty shakes +small lot for parking

supposed to be a chilly cheese dog

i haven't been in this place in like 10 years and now i remember why i pay 30 dollars for two regular dogs and two sad chilly dogs and i probably never go back again. i leve a few blocks away but i rather go a bit more further away i do not recommend this place

For those that know Route 66 will know Henry's and it's south side connection. Pulling up you notice how well maintained it is. Service was fun, kind and respectful. Does remind me of the drive in stops of yester-year...Ambiance was what one expects from a great hot dog spot. Placed my order for a hot dog no fries (have to eat healthy ). Was quick and packaged with napkins, so did not need to ask for anything. Served Chicago style! Had a great snap to my bites. Definitely going to come back and try all the other delicacies! Mangia & Cheers!

They don't seem to know what goes on a Chicago Style Hot Dog. No relish?!?! No celery salt?!?! So disappointing.

Very quick, however was a good value. I could spent more for a higher end Chicago dog but I didn't have the time plus why spend the money.

Only thing saving this place is the semi edible Hormel chili they serve on chili dogs or in bowls. That's really about it.

If you're not really into carb counting, the gravy bread is really an interesting item on the menu.

After completing a workout, I was very hungry and took my chances by visiting 'The Lucky Dog' while…read moredriving enroute towards Dwight D. Eisenhower Expressway. I honestly feel that this visit was long overdue being that I always drive by the location to-and-from work. I was acknowledged as soon as I drove up to the menu display to place my order within the drive thru. Being unfamiliar with the menu, I felt that I had to quickly look through it to pick out what I wanted or what gauged my interest. Out of the many choices featured, I ended up ordering a Tuna Sandwich but could have easily ordered their Grilled Cheese (on Pita) instead. And I waited for it in an acceptable time frame via my drive thru ordering experience. The Tuna Sandwich came on a sub-style bun topped with pickles, tomatoes, onions, relish, mustard and mayo. And to my luck it was fresh and just as satisfying as it appeared. I do recommend it, but if you consider ordering it be prepared to possibly have a messy situation amidst your enjoyment. Need I say that I enjoyed my order, as I have clearly indicated in this review of The Lucky Dog. Now that we are no longer strangers, I would more than likely visit again being that it sits along my main route driven enroute towards Dwight D. Eisenhower Expressway. And with that said, I share my endorsement of it with you all on yelp. Service: 4 | Ambiance: N/A | Food: 4| Overall rating: 4 ~ Live. Laugh. Love. ~ Thomas G
