I'm searching Yelp, and don't quite find a clear front runner. So, I change my search to "cocktail bar" and Butler's pops up. I didn't quite trust it as there are plenty of bars in the area between Ocean Springs and D'Iberville, but I wanted an extensive bourbon and whiskey selection for the hubs, no crap! I checked out the photos and zeroed in. Upon arrival, I was completely shocked to find out that it's inside a casino resort. I missed that in my search. It's hidden in plain sight! First and foremost, who knew there were sprawling casinos situated behind residential neighborhoods in Mississippi?! Wow! -- I digress. We committed and we went for it. I'm so glad we did! We were immediately greeted by Josh, bartender extraordinaire, and the rest is history. Remember that extensive bourbon and whiskey selection we were looking for? ... FOUND IT! Butler's literally has it all, and Josh is the perfect handler! He's knowledgeable about the different brands, aging processes, and truly proved himself to be an expert in the field. Aside from the bar, Josh suggested that we sign up for rewards (which we did) and try the food (which we did as well). Overall, he's a team player and made us feel at home. We initially planned to stop in for drink or two, and ended up playing a few slots, and staying for dinner. The restrooms weren't too bad and were acceptable for a late-night spot. Overall, it's fine if you're just looking for somewhere to shoot pool and have a cheap drink, but the atmosphere could definitely be improved with better temperature control, less smoke, and a more welcoming environment.
