Until today I would have given this place a 5 star rating. I've been coming here every Fat Tuesday since it was Chucks. I refused to buy store bought packzis when you could go and support a small business that made a superior product. I went there knowing well that there would be a line and was prepared to wait. At 7am when I was takin my son to school we were gonna stop and grab one for him to enjoy before school.. but the line was too long. Which was fine. When I returned I donned my book and coat ready to wait out the line. However I wasn't prepared to have them sell out completely when I was second from the front. This was at 7:45. I was told there would be more out in an hour. I ran errands and came back 20 minutes early... ready to wait. But as soon as I came in they told me that they weren't going to be ready until 10:00. No big deal... I left.. and came back. I walked through the door at 9:55. Only to be told they wouldn't be done until 11:30. So I asked what was going on.. and I complained that we were told they'd be done at 10:00. And told them that when you tell customers a product will be done at a certain time they expect to receive that product at that time and not a minute before. I left upset.. went out to my car and calmed down.. decided to go back in and get a hot chocolate and wait it out. This was at 10:10.. as I walked through the door they began bringing out tray after tray. 10 minutes after being told it was gonna be an hour and a half. I got in line ordered my paczkis and out came whom I'm assuming was the owner and she began yelling at me and told me that I was to leave for 'yelling' at her employee. Had I yelled at her they would have known it. After me and the 'owner' arguing back and forth she threatened to throw my order in the trash. With a line of people already out the door. I understand they're busy. However if you plan to run a business communication is key. If you have an order being dropped and it'll take 30 minutes.. tell your customer that if they want to wait it will take 30 minutes. Let them know. It's not right for a business to turn customers away with a time to come back.. and serve the product said customer were just denied to people not 10 minutes earlier. I was also told that I should have pre-ordered my 4 paczkis. If you don't want customers coming in and ordering a small amount ala cart then force people to pre-order. That's just marketing. In order to get my order from her.. I was forced to apologize for their incompetence. No customer should be spoken to the way I was. I would understand had I cussed and thrown a tantrum. But that wasn't the case. And if your staff can't take someone complaining then they need a new line of work. I had multiple people voice their disgust for how they treated me as I was leaving and a few left with me. I've already made calls and found a place I will be getting my paczkis and doughnuts from in the future. Hopefully they'll treat their regulars better. read more

We ordered a plain sheet cake for a Wedding. A full sheet cake would serve more than 75 with a generous serving. We had MANY compliments about the cake. Please do order from Henze's. Delicious!!! Much much better than those chain bakeries. They open early (4am) and are very reasonably priced.

My girlfriend and I had our bridal shower this past weekend and I came to pick up our cake. As I walked towards he door I jokingly told my friend to remind me not to fall down with the cake.....as soon as I walked outside, the wind whipped up and flipped the giant sheet cake lid off of the box and flip the cake out of my hands and caused me to sink my either right hand into the cake to save it from crashing to the ground. I walked back in and showed the horrified employees my error. I asked if there was anything that could be done (in the one hour before the shower started. They said they would give the cake to the decorator and hope for the best. In about an hour we received the call that the cake was ready and my friend went to pick it up. He brought it to the venue and let me tell you, it was PERFECT. Flawless. Amazing. You couldn't tell anything happened to it WHATSOEVER. It was beautiful. The writing, icing, piping, and design was gorgeous, and even more importantly, the cake was DELICIOUS. every single person raved about the cake and wanted to know where I got it. I told them then, and I will from now on, that the place to get cakes is from Henze's. All hail the kings and Queens of the bakery. Amazing. Thanks a million. read more
