Overall I had a good experience. As you walk in, the immediately do a scalp analysis. I came with my friend so it was a little awkward as they did the analysis and camera of your scalp in the lobby with my friend and other clients right there. I would've wished there was more privacy. You were given slippers and a robe to change into in a bathroom, put your items in a locker then moved to one of the many wash stations. Overall, I loved the scalp massage and wash. It was very relaxing. Afterward you're moved to the drying station where you got a little snack and water while they blowdry your hair..this was great for me, however my friend didn't have the same experience I did. She was rushed and they didn't even finish blowdrying her hair, they just left it half wet as my friend's Specialist had another appointment to start. A video I saw on Ig was the lure, and I came here with a friend. I grappled with this review because this is a family owned business and I don't want to destroy them. I mean, it's cool there's an option for this in DFW. I wouldn't do it again, though. For the price, I'd rather have a massage and a blow out, rather than an hour-long cold hair wash and my hair looking worse than when I went in. It was about $220 before tip. The things I'd offer for improvement are heated tables, some privacy with the scalp assessment, and more skill with the blow drying. They did not use a brush or any hair product with the blow dry, and my hair definitely looked worse than before: It was frizzy and I was embarrassed. I went straight home and fixed it. I usually air dry my hair, and when I do blow dry it, I use a roller brush and some heat protectant. It's definitely not a salon, but you'd save some money and look better if you go for a wash and style at one. read more

What I wish I could of changed: -Privacy when doing scalp analysis. Everyone can see your scalp and it's just awkward -Separate changing room. You change in the hallway restroom and then walk out in a thin robe right by main lobby and other people coming out of spa room -Someone who knew how to style my curly hair. Should you come here I highly recommend you do not opt for the add on's as I really don't think they're worth the price. I added the facial massage - I had to ask at the end if I received that service because I honestly thought I hadn't :/ highlight was that they blew out my hair with the Dyson Airstrait and now I want one. I had the most relaxing experience here on a Saturday morning. I was looking for something different, and I came across Hera Head Spa via a Dallas TikTok page. I called to book and was able to get in the next morning for the HERA Signature... 80 minutes. As soon as I walked in, they did the scalp evaluation where I was able to see the health and buildup in certain areas on a screen. After deciding to add-on scrap relaxation and the hair & scalp recovery, we were ready to get started! They give you a robe and slippers to wear before heading into the room. The whole vibe is relaxing, despite having multiple people in the same room. The entire process was great! Massage...excellent! My head had never felt cleaner. At the end they blow dry and brush your hair while you eat fruit and drink tea. I definitely felt pampered. read more

Me and my mother went yesterday and had an amazing time! It was such a great experience, we've never been here before. I got Nathan and my mom got River. They start with a scalp analysis and then give you some slippers and you change into a gown. After you change into a gown, they walk you into a room where your experience will begin. We did the $145 per person experience which included a shoulder, neck and nape massage with the experience. Afterwards they take you into a room in which they just dry your hair, NOT a blowout, just a basic dry. I have curly hair so I asked them not to dry mine but my mom did. It turned out pretty good considering it's not a hair salon. We didn't mind that at all, we enjoyed ourselves and it was so relaxing. We will definitely be returning! Overpriced underwhelming experience. My sisters and I drove an hour from Dallas to experience the beautiful scalp massage spa advertised on Instagram. I absolutely love having my hair washed so I thought this place would be perfect for me! I selected the Ultimate HERA package for $185 which is 90 mins. Staff was organized and friendly upon arrival. Not a negative thing to say on that front. Once my spa session started, they began to massage my face and scalp. It was relaxing but they used oil products on my face which had me a little concerned. Heads up, my massage therapist did not explain what products he would be using on my face. If you need to know, speak up. Moving on, the water varied from warm to cold throughout the session. The spa table was not heated, leaving me chilly. The scalp massage and head scratching was amazing. Yes, it's intense but isn't that why we're here people? They blow dry your hair after the wash but that's all folks. Do not expect "blowout bar type" hairstyling here. Hair did not look good when I left. They offered us cold tea and grapes. Overall, HERA spa was very lack luster for the price. I will not be a returning client but enjoyed the time with my sisters. read more

I purchased a gift card for myself and my mother for a Mothers Day gift. The experience at the Flower Mound location was amazing and we enjoyed the services. However, when we went to retrieve our purses and clothes, we noticed our purses had been moved lockers. The woman insisted they were in the same locker but we reassured her we knew they had been moved. All of our cash and cards were still in our wallets, so we hoped it was just a misunderstanding. But 2 days later I started getting fraudulent charges to my credit cards. I recommend the location have a meeting with their staff and work on ways to better the locker room and safety of their customer belongings. read more

I'll start by saying everyone here was very sweet, and the atmosphere was welcoming and calming. The spa room itself was very nice and I liked the dimmed lights and spa music they had. Ive wanted to try a head spa like this for a while so maybe I just had much higher expectations than I should have. Overall the shampooing and massaging was relaxing but there were a few things I found.. interesting?.. just not what I expected. With the ultimate package that I got there is facial cleansing included however there was no moisturizer or spf so my skin was very dry when I left. There is also supposed to be an "amazing blowout" included... this was not at all what I got. Im a hairstylist myself so maybe Im a little more picky but... my hair was not brushed or detangled until the end of the service. This was not a blowout by any means, it was simply rough drying with no brush or round brush so I left with flat yet frizzy hair. Between the dry face and the 'blowout' I would not recommend having any plans to go to afterward. Again everyone was very kind and sweet and I really wanted to like the place, but for the money spent and the far drive it just wasn't worth it to me unfortunately. read more

This was a one & done for me. It was very busy, so maybe it's a me thing. Once you check in and choose your treatment. Someone will use a high-powered microscope type device to show your scalp & hair follicles on a small screen. Pretty cool. You will be given some slippers to put on, then you're taken to the back to put on a smock or upper body robe. You then will put your belongings in a locker where you will be given the key. You go on a room that has about 10 beds. Each one has a bowl / sink attached. It is pretty calming in there. You lay face up with your head over the bowl where a light facial rub is done using some oil. This is very relaxing. They also rub your head, temples, under the eyes, and your ears. They will then lightly message your shoulder, arm, and hand on each side. This too is nice & relaxing. Once this is complete, they move to your hair where they give you a long, nice & soothing shampoo. Once complete, you are taken to another room where they blow dry your hair and try to get your to look some what like it did when you arrived. So ladies, if you arrive with a nice done up hairdo, kiss it goodbye. When you come out, put a baseball cap on because they are not a hair salon. Guys, take your own hair product because they don't have any. Granted, your hair does feel super soft. I looked like a Chia pet when I left. You go and check out and pay the $200. Yes, it's not a typo. The service I received for the 85 minutes was $185. Then you have the tip, anywhere from 15% to 25% to choose from. I paid around $220 for this experience. I walked out with another couple & overheard the guy say, "What the f@#$ was that? We paid $600 dollars for someone to wash our hair. " So, like I said, it's a 1 and done for me. Went to the new Flower Mound location today - booked the most expensive package - The Ultimate Plus Scalp Exfoliation. It was the Ultimate waste of money! The girl who did the massage and scalp had the weakest pressure on my scalp...I even told her to apply more pressure and no difference. She did not pay good attention to the nape of my neck and felt like it was barely touched. When she was finished, I was very disappointed. Then, she took me to the room for a blowout. If you don't have straight hair, good luck because I walked out with a straight afro! They do not know how to work with non-straight Caucasian hair. Furthermore, they bring you cold, bland tea with a side of grapes. They did not even show me my scalp picture at. the end of the service. I expressed my frustration with some guy who I think was a manager. He said everyone is new and they would relay my information for feedback. They did give me 15% off, but after paying $179 dollars, I left very frustrated and will not return. read more

My friend picked out a scalp massage for her birthday. Based on the various TikTok videos, we agreed on Hera Head Spa in Flower Mound. I booked two Nourishing Shampoo treatments which were $145 each for a 65-minute session which includes two rounds of shampooing, facial cleansing, and a massage of scalp, light face pressure points, neck and shoulders. The salon was clean and inviting. What I didn't like was the scalp analysis, which is conducted in the front, waiting area. Be prepared to be nickled and dimed from there. My friend was advised she needed a clarifying treatment (extra $25) while was told I needed a dry scalp treatment for $35 extra. They charge $6 for a paper eye-mask. The techs who worked on us did great with our treatments. It was relaxing, but as others have stated, you are in a room with several tables and multiple people being treated at once. Also, I did find the water cool at times, but they covered me with a heated blanket. Then they walk you into the "blowout" room. Three guys between the two of us and sorry, but none of them knew what they were doing. The techs were baffled by her short, yet colored hair, while my naturally curly hair was twisted into strands and coiled up into a diffuser, which I had to specify I wanted them to use. I am so glad I didn't pay another $25 for a blowout and straightening service. Don't plan to be camera ready after your service and don't waste your money paying them to blowout because they seriously do not know what they are doing with dryers. I will be interested in trying another head spa, but not this one. read more
