Enrolled and paid £210 with this company for online herbalist course called thirteen moons. Course start date 2/8/17, postponed due to technical problems and ill health/personal issues of Claire MacKay who was running course. Due to then start 2/2/18, more technical problems, health issues and lack of communication. Upshot by end of March 2018 I asked for refund, was just about to raise court action when I eventually got my refund in May 2018, would not recommend getting involved with Herbal Heritage and Claire Mackay , totally unreliable, does not communicate with you, ignores emails and blocks you on social media when you complain. read more

If I could give this a minus 5, I would. I signed up for this course paying £310. After numerous excuses of website glitches, personal illnesses and family tragedies, no course materialized. It has been a whole year. I paid extra to have postal materials but not one course came to me. I have made numerous attempts to contact Claire MacKay requesting a refund but first she ignored them then called me a troll & blocked me from her social media sites. All this while she took vacations, started another business in her small village and is currently advertising yet another course. I feel like she is using the Outlander fans to illegally subsidize her own personal endeavors. I warn anyone considering to do business with this woman to avoid her at all costs. read more

I've had the same experience as you see in other reviews. I too, met Claire through an Outlander connection. She was and still is offering Herbal Courses. The first courses scheduled to begin August 2017 were postponed. In October 2017, an offer of a 25% discount, with videos and recipes over the following months was given, if we remained students and waited for February 2018 courses to begin. So I waited. The discount was not provided, nor videos and recipes. The Goody Box with herb supplies has never arrived, even after a promise on March 7th 2018, of 3 - 5 days until delivery. The course began again in March 2018, but was cancelled by April 2018 We now had not heard anything from April 3rd, when a webinar for April 9th was scheduled, that never occurred. On May 11th 2018, we were contacted finally, a refund was again offered, as the herbal courses were again cancelled. I requested the refund, and received the response, you would get back to me within the week, for the refund, I've never heard back. I've tried to reach, Claire MacKay, owner of Herbal Heritage, who will not respond to my attempts at contact, though she has been active on Facebook and Twitter. Beware! This business is a scam. The owner, Claire MacKay, has not delivered on what she sold. She offered a distance learning course called Thirteen Moons Herb Craft. It was a 13 month course designed to learn Highland herbalism. It appears that she does not have the course materials prepared, does not know how to use the website for presenting the course materials, and has cheated at least 40 people that have paid handsomely for the course. The course was to start in August, 2017. The course was postponed, due to personal issues, until February 2nd, 2018. It was again postponed, indefinitely. She ignores communications from her students and keeps us in the dark, while we wait for the teaching. She has taken our money, which we have paid handsomely for. I echo what others have said. Claire can talk the talk, but does not walk the walk! She will promise you the earth, and has a plethora of excuses when she fails to deliver. I waited a long time for my refund for the ThirteenMoons course, and was blocked on all social media. Please do not be taken in by her connection to Outlander, and do not part with your hard-earned cash ... the only thing you are guaranteed is stress and heartache! I'll try to make this short. I can give you a long history of things wrong with Claire Mackay's course and my experience. This woman has used her connection to Outlander to seduce people into taking her Thirteenmoons Herbcraft course. She then doesn't follow through with her promises and refuses to communicate to those in the course. She has a history of this in past courses which all failed to happen as promised. This course that I am enrolled in was to begin Feb 2. It didnt till March 2 and only partially. When you do work it goes ignored. April 2 come and again it's only partial course material. At this point Claire goes silent. Even through a webinar she was to hold on April 9th. Those in the course try many times to get a word from her. She finally announced on May 11th that (as she gave as an excuse the last time) she's having personal issues and has decided to postpone the course till Aug 2018. She promises a refund to all those that wish and don't want to wait for Aug. Since that time she's only given a few their refunds and refuses to answer others even going so far as to block them on social media. Please do not fall for this lady's scam. read more

I am one of the lucky ones who managed to get a refund for the Thirteen moons course that never was but there are many who have not. We paid between £210 and £360 each, as well as buying books recommended by her in preparation to start the course in August 2017.
