I visited today 05/23/25, as my 16-year-old daughter booked me an appointment for my birthday for a facial. Hoping for a relaxing and professional experience, but unfortunately, it fell far short of expectations. The service was not only subpar--unenjoyable and inattentive--but I also discovered that some of the staff may not be properly licensed, which raises serious concerns about safety and professionalism.There was a noticeable lack of attention to detail and customer care especially because the owner had her toddler running all around the place and not only that he was screaming at the top of his lungs, not only did the child went inside my room-space but also my daughters (since she decided to get a facial last minute.) opening our curtains screaming for his mommy (owner) extra loud. I left feeling more stressed than when I arrived, which completely defeats the purpose of a spa visit especially on my birthday. I would strongly urge owner to ensure all staff meet proper licensing requirements and to improve the quality of customer service, including herself. She was not accommodating at all. They don't even have water available for customers for after service.As a licensed professional I couldn't recognize any of the massage movements I was getting from the lady (Sarai) that was doing my facial, not effleurage, petrissage, tapotement, friction, or vibration. She didn't ask me if I was allergic to anything, which I am. I have extra sensitive skin and rosacea, she did use products on my face that had fragrance and caused temporary tingling but nothing too severe, thankfully. As soon as she started, I questioned if she was licensed because she did not put a headband over my head to protect my hair (which is the first thing they teach you before you start a facial service (aside of sanitation and infection control.) She did the bare minimal for extraction, she didn't tilt my nose one bit, mainly she removed little peach fuzz. Later in the service, she put a facemask on me after cleansing me about 5xs and lathering my hair with all kinds of gels which left my hair line all around musty, said she would go change the water and left me for about 20 mins. Any licensed professional knows that when you have a client with a facemask on you should massage the neck, clavicle area, shoulders, arms etc. but we not nothing of that (not me or my daughter, she was in the room next to me), we just laid there for 20 mins or so until they (I say "they" because me and my daughter had the same experience.) came back, by then I was already irritated because the kid was screaming at the top of his lungs for couple mins, I couldn't relax not one bit, my head started pulsing right away it was just too much.I don't understand how the owner thinks having her kid running around screaming is ok. Later, when I got up to change after my service was over I looked around the booth for a license and there was one with the name "Anna" but she told me her name was Sarai so when I went to the front the owner had 3 kids in the lobby extra loud, I proceeded to ask her if Sarai had a license and she immediately went on panic mode, she (owner) said, "she does have one", it's in the other room, I asked if I could see it, she (owner) then left, came back and said it wasn't there. She, (owner) then proceeded to open a messy drawer from underneath the front desk and started looking for her license, I reminded her that by law every employee offering service must have it next to her work area, she (owner) insisted she had one but didn't have it with her. she then got a little notepad and started noting stuff down. She referred me to the state board website and told me to look her up, but she wasn't giving me accurate information. I asked her if Sarai was new because I could tell she wasn't experienced and she said, "yes, this is her first job, she's been here about year." but what didn't make sense is that the owner showed me a picture of a the license from her camera roll with the name (Sarai) but the license didn't have a Sarai's printed picture, and not only that the licenses has been active since 2017 and she,(Sarai) was unaware it expires in 5 days (at that point Sarai was in the lobby with us.) Her and the owner were going back and forth about the placement of the license, so that made things even more suspicious. I told her I knew all licenses must have a picture, and she said maybe it's different because things changed after covid. But upon research on the state board website and my friends that are licensed in the state of CA., all licenses must have a picture, so they might have FAKE licenses. Also, the paper the license is printed on looks like reg, printer paper.... everything was super sketchy. I reminded her (owner) that if state board walks in she, and everyone working without a license can get fined. She also apologized for her crying child and said she didn't have a babysitter. I've been going to this place since 2010. I had Don (now retired). Now, I normally request for Ana, the owner. If Ana is not available, I ask for Tanya or Annita. They're professional and nice. Over the years I have struggled with big pores, uneven and dry skin, coming to Sarai has changed my skins life. I use to apply the Body Shop skincare line for many years, which is where I meet Sarai. She made the best recommendations for my skin problems, until she recommended one of her facials. She added that in order for my skin to be radiant she would recommend a deep facial to unclog my skin. BABY! Once I did my facial with her I knew I could not stop. It has become my ritual to attend my facials monthly. She has the most gentle and soft touch that makes you feel so relaxed. Since then my skin looks amazing all my issues have been resolved. No visible pores, hydration, glowy skin, and my textured skin that mad me feels so insecure( especially when I wore makeup) looks amazing. Not only does she give experiences but Sarai has made me gain my confidence back not having to wear makeup all the time to cover my insecurities with my skin, I feel like a new person all the time. Once I come in the room is prepped. It always smells so GOOD! and the spa music is impeccable, it just adds so much to your experience. She knows a lot about skin care and skin disorders. Prices and fees here are not overrated. Products are fairly priced. I believe I was sold fake Obagi products. My husband bought my $600 worth of products for Christmas. Well I didn't want to use till after my baby was born just to be safe . So last month I finally get to use I notice I had a expired bottle and another bottle that would have expired this month . My husband took them back and they swapped them out so I was happy . Fast forward I having been using these products for about 4 wks with ZERO results !!! No redness no peeling literally NOTHING has happened to my skin . I've used Obagi in the past and I know the horrifying process of this stuff itchy , redness , peeling like a snake yea but after that comes beautifully bright new skin . I know for sure I did not get what I paid for and will be seeking legal action and taking my bottles to the cooperate . When it comes to my money I don't play I work to damn hard for it and unless this business wants to refund the ENTIRE amount I'm taking action . Haven't been here since the pandemic started and I was finally able to squeeze in a signature facial in my schedule a few weeks ago. I had Tania take care of my skin and she was super gentle and gave me some advice on some of the concerns I had with my skin. The price is very reasonable and well worth it for the experience. If you're looking to book an appointment with a certain person, I recommend scheduling one as early as possible since times and dates seem to fill up quickly. Other than that, it's very quick and easy to book an appointment through their website. I'm very satisfied with my visit and my skin feels great. Booked myself a 10am appointment for my bday for some relaxing time without my daughter. The morning of the facial around 8am I got a text stating they were confirming my appointment for 10:15am. I replied I would be there but let them know that the appointment I booked was for 10am. I arrived as scheduled only to be met with an attitude from the front desk person stating that in their computer they have 10:15. I showed her my phone showing 10am. I was asked to wait, not a problem. I sat there and saw no sense of urgency to get my appointment to begin at the scheduled time. About 10 minutes later a young lady walked in with coffee and there was no conversation of "hey her appointment was at 10 let's get her in as soon as possible" they both moved as if they had all morning. I asked "so am I going to wait until 10:15?" And the front desk lady cut and rolled her eyes at me as if I was bothering her. From there I wasn't going to spend any money anywhere I was bothering people so I left and asked them to cancel the appointment. Had there been a sense or urgency or apologies for the mishap, I would have happily stayed. I won't pay for bad service though. Won't be returning. read more

I was looking for a facial places nearby and tried this place for the first time and i didn't like it. During the facial i think the lady did something to my nose and the nose part hurts and leaves me a bump now on my nose that wasn't there before. Other parts of my face felt like it was pluck, it now developed a scab that turn into facial nightmare, because of this i'm never ever going to do facial anymore. I do not recommend this place. So I went there today and I didn't even know that they're close on Mondays but Don was there and he actually offered to get my skin tag done even though they're closed so he ended up sparing some time working on it. It didn't take that long but I'm thankful for his patience and his willingness to offer help to their customers even if they're closed. Normally some people would just tell their customer to go back the next day but he didn't and he offered his help in a snap and that gave an A+ good impression.
