I don't know if there was something the skin technician did or if it was just my sensitive skin, but the facial was OK, but the extraction was probably unnecessary as I was left with red dots on my nose. This was all before a wedding a couple days after the facial. I figured it was normal swelling, but then they left tiny little scabs, but not anywhere else on my face, just my nose, go figure. The day of the wedding, I just caked on makeup on my nose (I hate cakey makeup, but duty calls). I've only had a few facials in my life, but never did they leave scabs or anything like it. Maybe I should've gotten the owner? Overall: the service was great from the two girls who were in the office, although my esthetician was running late for my appointment. Yelped local Skin Care businesses and came across Herbal Touch. I decided to go in and have a skin tag removed that had been growing on my neck for the past 4 years (blechhhh!) and it seemed to be having a life of its own...soooo, time to say peace out to that bad boy. The nice aesthetician put this cream on it that would "burn" it off. The cream did sting a bit but it definately wasn't unbearable. She moved the thing around a bit and then left the cream on for about 15 minutes, came back and showed it to me with her tweezers Ugh! gag reflex kicking in just thinking about it. I'm sure it wasn't that bad, but I just ate. Anyhow, she told me there would be a scab and in about 2 weeks the scab would fall off after it heals. It did get a little red and irritated but I put some antibiotic on it. The scab fell off after 3 weeks, but now its just a little scar which I'm pretty sure will fade with the right cream. A little scar is much better than a nasty skin tag on your neck. All in all, very happy. To have it removed at a doctor's office would have been way more expensive. Spent $7.50 plus tip here. I will be coming back here for an extraction facial in a few weeks, looking forward to it. read more

Had to take a star off because the second time I came back to Herbal Touch was on a Sunday and I received mediocre service. The person that was before me had called in and said that they were going to be late. I had made an appointment for the special facial plus the microdermabrasion which should have lasted for 2 hours but Anita called me to let me know if it was okay if I could come 30 thirty minutes past my intended visit. Thinking that she would honor an additional thirty minutes for my appointment, I said yes. When it was my turn, the facial seemed rushed and it only lasted an hour and a half. The office was also loud and quite noisy.. I couldn't relax at all. Maybe Sundays are busy days but I'll be sure to stay away from booking appointments on the weekends. read more

I wish I could write a glowing review but everything went wrong and I was very disappointed. It started wrong when I was kept waiting over 15 minutes for my scheduled facial appointment. The ladies were nice but it's not good to keep a customer waiting. I paid for a 75 min facial but it ended exactly 59 minutes. When I asked about the difference in the stated time versus actual time the receptionist said that it 75 if my skin needs it I really felt ripped off. A few months ago, I was feeling a little down about how my face felt. It just didn't feel clean and soft enough regardless of what product I used. So, I decided to get a facial & my coworker recommended me to try Herbal Touch. I don't get facials often but I would have to say I got my money's worth. I felt so rejuvenated and relaxed. Not to mention, my face was once again seriously clean and soft. I recommend the Beauty/Acne Facial and if you need more than that... they will be honest & will let you know if you really need another treatment. Now, in regards to wart removal. It definitely does work. I just recommend that if you do have a lot of warts/skin tags in a certain area, DON'T DO IT ALL AT ONCE! Also, beware...it HURTS like a cigarette burn. Imagine a tiny lit cigarette getting butted into your skin. Painful but I got over it. The next time I do it again, I'm going to pick which ones I want to be BURNED off. So, it's now been over a month & my skin is still healing. The clinic is very clean but small.The staff is very friendly, honest and professional. They accept walk-ins and if you get hungry after, there's a Filipino Restaurant called Manila Lechon that's pretty good, about a few stores down. Other stores and restaurants in the plaza: Sav-Ons, Tambuli (Filipino store), Popeyes Chicken, & Del Taco (have a chicken soft taco, deluxe chili cheese fries & strawberry shake for me). I've been coming here for a few months now. In the beginning my face was filled with acne, but Anita has been doing a wonderful job keeping my white and black heads in check. I have been looking into microdermabrasions in the area. I'm specifically looking for a diamond tip microderm (not crystals), reasonably priced, & a la carte -- without anything else (no facial, extractions, peels, etc.). The rooms did not offer privacy b/c of the open ceilings, but it was still relaxing as there were no other clients there at the time. My aesthetician was nice, punctual, and threw in a free facial "wart" removal ("pre-skin tag"/mole removal) with a highly powerful cashew oil. & yes, after a few days, this free procedure did work! So why 3 stars? The diamond tip was not medical grade. I knew this as soon as she applied the tip to my face. I later found out that it was more like a higher level, home use machine. My face did not look any different -- whatsoever -- even after a week. Each skin type is different so they either must buy a higher grade machine or at least warn the client beforehand that there maybe no improvement (especially after I thoroughly explained my skin (very thick) & its reaction to peels & microderms). As I was checking out, I found out that they are known for the cashew nut oil procedure. & yes, I would highly recommend them for this specific service. Still searching for my go-to place for a microderm in the area ... EDITED 7.1.13: I recently discovered that medical grade microderm machines can only be used by (or under the supervision of) medical professionals. This spa would be prohibited from using such machines. So I added a star to bring it to 4 stars, given that the level of machine I was seeking could not be used at this establishment in the first place. I did not up it to 5 stars b/c quite frankly, I'm unsure if I should have known this or if I should've been informed of this by my aesthetician when I advised her of my existing skin condition and what I was seeking. read more

Went here on a rainy Saturday after reading other yelpers reviews. I went in for an acne facial but, ending up doing so much more. I tried their beauty facial which included microdermabrasion and was told that I had facial warts (this freaked me out). The extractions that were done by Anita was very gentle and relaxing. She included a peel and hand massage. Next she showed me the facial warts, which I thought were blackheads. I felt a little tingle, followed by a burning sensation on the spot for about 2 minutes. My face feels clean, but I ended up walking out with brown dots all over my face from burning off the warts. If you are going to burn off warts on your face, do it on a day that you plan on staying in. I will update the results of the wart removals. read more

I'm not sure if it's the products being used but my face has never looked this clean, clear, and glowing in a longtime. I have been religiously going to Joanne and religiously meaning I have been going every 2 weeks. I always get a microdermabrasion, facial with extraction, or both depending if my skin is too thin to have a micro done. Joanne usually checks before she does anything to see what is best. I don't feel rushed and she takes her time ALL THE TIME. The atmosphere is quiet and really clean. I have not had any warts removed because but my brother has and his face looks immaculate.
