The spaces are clean, the people are friendly, the trees are mature. We've stayed there twice now in the last year and it's one of our favorites.

They calmly work with you. If you have a vehicle you'll be able to travel nearby, however if you walk as we do being outside near this park at dark is unwise. The laundry is very clean and relatively low cost. The park has a covered and uncovered picnic area behind the laundry next to the wading pool. They lack a shower/bathroom house. They have a dog park. You can recycle plastic bottles and cans in the laundry room.

Probably not...but the price was right for three of us to split. For us this trip it's not about the hotels, it's just a place to rest. As long as I don't see bugs or unwanted fluid I'm fine. I ran my blacklight, while my friend sanitized where needed. We didn't hang out coats on the rack because it looked like something splashed all over after I ran the blacklight through it . Bedding had a few stains but at least it didn't look like blood or seminal fluid . So my friends are sleeping, I'm up at after 3am writing this because I can't sleep. I will have to say this place is pretty quiet. At first I was very afraid because upon arrival the train was so loud and we were worried there will be no sleep all night. It's past 3am and I hear a train, but it's not loud at all. I don't hear the neighbors either. So it's nice that the rooms are pretty soundproof. There's a little coffee pot, a couple coffee packs, a mini fridge. We didn't have to use because we have an ice cooler, and a small tv. Paul at the front desk brought us more towels. They provide you with dark towels also to remove your makeup. They charge you extra if your towels are stained. I have blue hair so I bring my own dark towels, and my own pillow cases so I don't stain any hotel beddings. So I shouldn't be charged at checkout. There are plenty of outlets, and usb plug ins for the three of us to charge our devices. Front desk made sure we were on the first floor so we could park right in front. That was very convenient. That's why I give this place a three star instead of a two. If anything changes after checkout I'll be sure to update. The photos I posted aren't mine. I understand the $10 pet fee, but the rest was explained as taxes and fees, which felt misleading. We were very tired, so we just accepted it and checked in. The room itself was decent, but there were several issues. There were coffee packets but no coffee maker, a missing picture on the bathroom wall, and one of the shower bottles was broken off. Only two full-size towels were provided, and they were very thin and not what you would expect. The room was also missing basic items you typically find in hotels, especially one associated with Wyndham no laundry bag, no notepad or pen, and no local information or reading material. The lamp shades were also loose and flimsy. We were also traveling with a dog, and the designated pet area in the back had cigarette butts all over the ground, which was very disappointing. Additionally, the photos online do not accurately reflect this specific location in Red Bluff. DO NOT BE FOOLED Overall, for the price paid, this stay was not worth it. I would not stay here again.

A Stunning Gem in Red Bluff, CA…read more Hummingbird House is a beautifully renovated Victorian house just off Main Street. The house is gorgeously decorated, each space carefully designed to be a combination of luxury and function. I was so happy to find that the kitchenette is fully equipped with silverware, plates and cups. There is a Keurig-type coffee maker, microwave and small fridge with a functional freezer (too often the little refrigerators in hotels don't have a freezer). Best of all, I was happy to find an electric water kettle. I'm a tea drinker, and using the hot water from coffee makers gives the tea an annoying coffee taste. I'll be staying for several weeks, so the washer and dryer is a great convenience at no additional cost. The hosts are so welcoming and kind, without being intrusive. And they are always responsive to texts or emails. I have stayed in small inns and B&Bs all over the world, and I have never been in a nicer place! The pastries and cookies that are in the parlor are brought every day from the bakery on Main Street. Each one has been outstanding. The bakers are trained in French patisserie and the quality is amazing. This is just a reflection of the caliber of everything at Hummingbird House!

It's cool to visit, but unfortunately they don't hold a candle to the one a few miles from when you leave California and enter Oregon. That one has picnic tables, a dog run, lots of bathroom stalls and when you enter the building, you feel like you're in a gigantic lodge for a state park. The Oregon one also has tons of freebies, including beautiful half sheet posters of some of the nature and activities of some of the big towns and kids walk away with a bag of toys, pins, and stickers for free. I know it's not fair to compare the two, but when you've seen better, everything else kinda pales in comparison. The lady who helped me at this Welcome Center was nice though.

Park Nation has taken over managing the park. They are raising the rates 30% or more. They are…read moredoing ZERO maintenance here. The place is over grown. The green grass in all places is now dead, and a fire hazard, because they fired everyone who worked here to keep this park great looking. Park Nation is ignorant of California law on RV/MHP's. Per Civil code, https://leginfo.legislature.ca.gov/faces/codes_displaySection.xhtml?sectionNum=1947.12&lawCode=CIV , they are not allowed to raise the rate so much at once. Law states 5% +CPI, or 10% which ever is lower. The new rates going up are over 30%, in clear violation of the Civil Code here in California. Emails to the company have not been answered but only ignored. Their plan is to get the rates up, then make people move to another lot, so they can immediately charge the higher rate. This is very unfair to the long term tenants. Enough about that, there is no longer FREE wifi in this park. Park Nation decided it wasn't needed. Sorry all you overnight people, you'll have to use your data plan. Even though I personally setup the wifi here, they decided to turn off MY routers.

Mike is a sly guy but is worse then snakes in the grass. I heard so many bad things about the residence who live there and how it's so funny they keep raising the rent on the poor tenants. Mike claims to have thrown all of my belongings in the trash after I had to escape from his house when I was staying with him . He is a scary dude and has nasty intentions. It's sad to hold someone belongings from them especially when I already lost all of my belongings in the camp fire. Everything I had I was trusting for him to at least keep my things safe for a few weeks. Now he's claiming to have thrown them away when he actually just stole my stuff. Name brand camping gear and all my name brand clothes. Hes a creep and shouldn't be able to work with others. Apparently now he lies, ànd steals !! what a ass hole.

The information on the park like address and phone number ARE correct, but the rates are wrong, and the park doesn't actually have a web page. That page was created by a former tenant, who was evicted, and are now trying to scam others. I have reported it twice to yelp, but they don't seem to care about that. Cheers
