Roundtrip for two was under $20 and the ride was around 30 minutes or so. The staff were all incredibly helpful for our first ride to SF during an evening with a kiddo. They gave us a pamphlet that has weekday/weekend times for future rides, and I noticed they have a 'Take Me Out to the Ballgame' program that leaves from Richmond to an upcoming Giant's Game & back. There's plenty of parking (non metered) and even a Rosie the Riveter National Historic Park to explore if arriving early to the area. There's also a Columbia outlet (you can get a complimentary pass) from visiting the Park for entry there too. Not sure if the pickle ball at the Craneway Pavilion is still in action, it wasn't during our recent trip..or the restaurant Assemble either. If anyone has updates on that, feel free to share with me too! All in all, such a convenient way to enjoy a SF happy hour and dinner, with beautiful views on the adventure there/back. Also, there's snacks on the ferry AND drinks like seltzers, beer, wine, and spirits for purchase. So if you're looking to have a cheers during sunset on the boat, you can do that too! There's several times for the weekend ferry, I would do a bit of research ahead of time. We didn't have clipper cards to add money onto, so we purchased our roundtrip tickets once we boarded onto the boat with the staff. You pay/they print your roundtrip ticket that you keep with you for the return boat back. What a way to travel! Until next time...

There's plenty of free parking at the Richmond ferry terminal, and once you are aboard, you can relax, get coffee from the concession onboard, or pull out your laptop and use the free wifi. The views across the bay are gorgeous on a sunny day. You sail by Angel Island, Treasure Island, Alcatraz Island, with the Bay Bridge and Golden Gate Bridge as the backdrop. Best of all, for 2024, the Friday service is free from November 1st until year end! What a great way to play tourist for a day.

Fast forward to today, this is one of the two stops that I park at when I'm going to San Francisco via BART. If certain family members are going to San Francisco, then we park and take BART from El Cerrito Del Norte station to our destination. If certain other family members are going with us we park and take another station on the other side of the line. I wouldn't necessarily recommend using this station late at night if you are alone as it can be a little unsafe on certain random nights. During the day I would say this station is relatively safe or if you are with a group, I would say the station is pretty safe. As with many stations outside of San Francisco and Oakland, parking is plentiful at Del Norte. Though you do have to pay for parking during work hours. Overall I say this is a pretty decent BART station as long as you're careful and aware of your surroundings, you should be okay.

It's mutual benefit for driver and passenger, since once you have 3 in a car, you can go into the carpool lane and not have to pay toll either. One day it could be a shiny BMW with a little girl in the backseat belting out the entire disney soundtrack and the next day it might be a dumpy van surrounded with electronics and non-working seatbelts . Luckily, that only happened to me once. I had a couple of tailgating/speeding drivers too.. but for a free ride, whaddya expect?? Overall, I recommend casual carpool. As a petite female, I feel no danger because there's at least 3 in the car.. and you can always pass a car if you don't feel safe ... TRUST YOUR INTUITIONS, WOMEN!

It's surrounded by a huge parking lot in the middle of nowhere. At least, that's what my first impression was. However, when I had to drop off my car at an auto shop in Martinez recently, I took a Lyft ride to this station to catch a train to the city. From the outside, it looks like Plain Jane, but from inside the platform, it looks gorgeous. The view looking West is so picturesque with the vibrant, green trees on both sides, bushes on the left side and the retaining wall on the right side is aesthetically pleasing to look at. It's framed like a modern painting that evokes a feeling of calmness. But you know what they say...beaty is in the eye of the beholder. But these are the things that captures my eyes as I get older and enjoy the serenity and simple things in life. Funny how such mundane things captures my attention and have such a strong reaction to a glimpse of unpretentious moment of time. The station is also, quiet, clean and unobstructed. The only negative I would have to say is that it doesn't have a covered garage to provide as shade to your vehicles. Especially in this part of town where the heat can become so unbearable. They do have some small trees in the parking lot though, but not enough to provide the proper protection from the sun. Other than that, it was better than I expected, and took me a bit by surprise.

You may wait awhile but if you have time or if you plan accordingly it is worth the wait. I avoid jumping in sketchy old cars, vans with only 2 seats, or those vehicles that remind me of those horror movies where they get kidnapped. But if you put all your paranoia aside, and willing to take a chance its a good ride to sf. As for the drivers you never know what you are getting. They could be quiet drivers, aggressive, talkative, slow, .... but just enjoy the ride. I avoid going in cars that smell like the san francisco air ... u know .... that hotbox smell... But what the hell free ride to San Francisco from way out in the Herc is worth a try. It isn't available on Weekends because the carpool lane isn't open. Carpool hours are Monday through Friday 5am-10am and 3pm-7pm. What's better then waiting thirty minutes for the toll booth to pay four dollars? FASTRAK! What's better then paying four dollars for FASTRAK or WestCAT Lynx bus fare? Casual Carpool! Zip through the sea traffic and make to the city from Hercules in a mere 25 minutes, just enough time to listen to some of the fav tracks from Crown City.

Came here when I did a BART trip to SF with a friend. The overall area is nice--nearby a suburban…read moreneighborhood--with lots of parking spots, both indoor and outdoor. The fact that there is a parking garage was a huge plus for me. The fee to park here is $3/day within the hours of 4am-3pm. Any time outside of those hours is free. Payment can be done through the BART app, where you will need to link your Clipper Card number and license plate number. This is to ensure that you actually entered BART and aren't abusing the parking spaces reserved for BART riders. When paying for your spot, you input the number you parked in (located on the ground of your parking space), add your payment info, and you're good to go! It should be a pretty smooth and speedy process. I parked on the far end of the parking garage, so walking to and from the BART entrance was a bit far, but it was definitely doable. Like all BART stations, this location is equipped with kiosks to add value to your Clipper Card. There are escalators that take you to the upper level which is where you enter the train car. The train car had a frequency of 15 minutes during the time we were there, so it came pretty fast. Once we got in we were on our way!

Picking up somebody at this bart station was pretty easy on a Friday (still during pandemic…read morethough). There weren't too many cars, which I know won't be the case once the pandemic is over. And there were plenty parking stalls available as well. I also liked the close proximity of this Bart station to Downtown Concord. It made it super convenient for us to pick up foods or boba drinks on my way back from this Bart station. The train ride from Pleasant Hill Bart to this one was a bit long though with a few stops here and there. But other than that, everything seemed pretty good with this station. No complaints.
