This was unsettling on its own, but she also used coercive language, framing it as though the owner had personally selected her for me, implying I should follow her. Strange and unprofessional. The second therapist seemed disorganized and, frankly, not particularly skilled. During one session, there was a two-minute pause while she shuffled between two separate documents, repeatedly saying out loud, "I'm just trying to figure out which one I need" -- which, on its own, is fine, but over time it introduced real doubt about whether the person meant to be helping me actually knew what she was doing. That same therapist later forgot an entire conversation we'd had the week prior, and when I brought it up, she made me feel foolish -- saying something to the effect of, "How could you have discussed that with me? It hadn't even happened yet." I let it go in the moment to avoid the back-and-forth, but the second I walked out I checked my phone and found a text I had sent to my wife that same week, directly referencing that conversation. It wasn't just that she'd forgotten -- it was that she looked at me like I was imagining things, and later cited the moment as evidence of me being "activated." Reading the other 1-star review from January, it's clear that C2C is trying to fill their roster with anyone who will take a job without ensuring professionalism, competence, or reliability. We are now receiving final bill notices, yet the office has locked us out of the patient portal due to non-payment, making it impossible to access our records or communicate through that system. When my wife asked how she could reach her doctor or someone who could help, she was told to use the portal--the very one we had been locked out of. All we are trying to do is get them to resubmit these claims correctly as in-network so we can pay the bill and move on. That's it. And yet, we're met with roadblock after roadblock. To top it off, they advertise themselves as a concierge practice, which is laughable. Concierge medicine is supposed to provide premium care, personalized attention, and easy access to the physician and staff. Here, they don't even answer the phone over lunch. Why not stagger lunch breaks like any other service-oriented business instead of shutting down entirely? The final straw was when my wife--who is battling stage 4 cancer--called for the third time to resolve this, only to be scolded for trying to fix a 2024 billing issue in 2025. Unfortunately, we had more pressing matters last year. We're done. As soon as this gets resolved, we'll be finding a new doctor. Recently at my annual appointment I was waiting to use the restroom which faces the support staff cubicles. The wait was rather long as there is only one restroom. I had the "privilege" of overhearing how they feel about their clients. "Oh, I hate the perimenopause ones- IM FAT AND HAVE SYMPTOMS BUT I DONT WANT TO GO ON MEDICATION AND GAIN MORE WEIGHT". "THE NEWBIE GYNES ARE SO CUTE WITH THEIR STIs." I was stunned. I went to the restroom, came out, and Dr. Plawyer's nurse was waiting for me. I told her of the incident and she said "I'm sorry to hear that" and then went over my med list and medical history while I'm on the verge of tears. I finally stood up and said "I'm leaving." I did receive a voicemail apologizing and saying it was addressed. However, as a nurse for the past 10 years I understand on a deeper level that the comfort they felt talking about patients at work indicates a culture of not respecting their patients. When we go to the doc we want to feel heard, be taken seriously, and be met with empathy and assistance. I no longer believe this happens at this clinic. Midwest Center means nothing other than a common name, like going to a Shell gas station, one has nothing to do with another. Took me multiple requests, over a period of more than 3 years to get my medical records transferred to my new doctor, which were finally transferred as of this year, 2025. Good Lord.
