We had the food truck over for my husband's 60th birthday party and invited friends, family and our small cul-de-sac neighbors. We had appetizer plates, choices for main (burgers, gyro, turkey sandwich, Thai wrap +) and dessert (double chocolate cake, lemon blueberry cake). The ladies working in the truck (Janis and Veronica) knew what to do and helped me host a really fabulous party. The raves about the food just kept coming, unsolicited and excited! The kids were so thrilled with the ginormous cake portions I thought they were going to have to lie down. I didn't keep track of the time and the chef brought me an appetizer plate and told me we had 15 minutes left, which was so kind of her, I didn't realize how hungry I was until I had the food in my hand. And I could keep the latecomers moving to get their food ordered. It was so wonderful to be able to provide a giant garbage can and tables and chairs and be done. Chef Dane made me look good, everyone had a great time, Janis and Veronica were lovely, it was all pretty perfect. read more

It was Food Truck night at American Brewing and Here and There was on scene. After glancing the menu, and yes they have vegetarian options. I opted for the Turkey Sandwich, it had me at bacon and cranberry sauce and havarti cheese. Who is the mastermind that came up with it? I opted for fries instead of salad. Go hard or go home since I was drinking beer. And as far as food trucks go, the prices can't be beat. Made fresh and came out fast. And packed full of yummy goodness. Legit turkey and great bread that holds it all in. Bread can make or break a sandwich and this made it. You get a bit of everything in every bite and nice melty cheese. This orange truck is good stuff. I've had their grilled veggie quesadilla, steak sandwich, shrimp po'boy, black bean sliders...and it's all been pretty great. The menu changes every week but if it ever comes back, I would order the veggie quesadilla in a heartbeat. I've never had such a delicious blend of veggies in gooey cheddar and I believe goat cheese before. Mmm, can almost taste it. Steak sandwich is loaded with flank steak, but that's pretty much it. A lot of meat, mushrooms, sauce, and bread. Some grilled bell peppers might be nice with it, so it's not so one-dimensional in taste. Whatever the food item is, it's all pretty creative and comes together really well. I used to LOOOOOOVE this truck, the French Dip being the best I had ever had. Unfortunately, the quality has gone down while the prices have gone up under the new ownership. They brought back the French Dip and it was beyond disappointing. It tasted like overcooked steakums on a doughy roll with flavorless brown water rather than au jus. This is especially confounding as I have had Chef Dane's catering and found it to be divine. I don't know what can be done to fix the truck, but I don't think I will be giving it another chance. read more

Ok. So these guys were at Mobile Chowdown III. And man did they NOT disappoint. My friend ordered a burger which we split, since we wanted to sample a few stands. We got the spicy hoisin pork sandwich. The pork was placed on a ciabatta roll, which was toasted. It had a certain crunchness, but not the point where it rips the roof of your mouth apart. It also had a broccoli-carrot slaw on it. The side that we got were the fries. The fries weren't anything special. But the sandwich, oh it was so good. The pork in the sandwich was moisted and flavorful. The pork was also pulled and diced, so you don't pull half of the meat out of the sandwich with one bite. The slaw topping added a little bit of sweetness to a salty meal. All I can say is that I would definitely hit their stand again. My description obviosuly doesn't do this sandwich justice. I need to write these reiviews while I'm eating the food. Unfortunately it's last thing I'm thinking of when I'm stuffing my face. read more

Yum. Yum Yum Yum. Since they are up at UW Bothell every Monday I've become a bit of a regular patron. The menu is emailed out the Sunday before giving you a preview of what's in store. What have I sampled? Crispy fish sandwiches with coleslaw, Savory sloppy joe on biscuits, a lamburger with fries. They are friendly and remember your name, service is quick, but nothing is precooked, so it's all fresh and hot. They are a little expensive for the college student budget, but I love them anyway. read more

We recently were able to have Here & There come to our work and were super excited to try it out. Being they had never come and didn't know what to expect, there was a huge turnout, and therefore, it was an hour wait for the food. Both a friend and I were over charged - so it was $14 for tacos and a cookie, and they ran out of my first choice (well,the buns) of Black Bean sliders, but by the time I took my first bite, all was forgotten. The jerk chicken tacos were awesome - with a fresh peach salsa that paired well with the spices. $10 for 3 bursting tacos and watermelon salad (or choice of fries) and I had to try the key lime frosted cookie. Which was pretty good - I like my cookies super chewy, but my colleague likes crunchier so it was perfect for her. Looking forward to trying again! read more

I can not say it enough, the best food ever!!! I have never chosen a bad dish, salad, soup, or side OR DESSERT. Make sure you try the salted caramel rice krispie! Julie goes out of her way to amaze you. The servers Emily, Anthony, and Callie are phenomenal and help in any way possible. There's a new mobile food truck pod at the parking lot at 2nd and Pine in downtown Seattle, with 8 rotating food trucks splitting lunch hours each day of the week. It's only been a week, but Here and There is already my early favorite. In the two times I've been, I've tasted 5 different items on their menu (thanks to my bite-sharing fellow food adventurers) and I have to say, everything they have on their menu is high quality, with amazing flavors. Lamb Burger - rich and juicy. Chicken Melt - light and tasty. Chicken Saltimbocca Sandwhich - a great blend of flavor. Their fruit smoothie and iced tea are also excellent, and my girlfriend just raved about the mango chicken salad. The only negative is that the truck has a weekly rotating menu. It means I missed being able to try their Reuben from last week. Knowing the quality of their sandwiches, I just know their Rueben has to be a very good one. On the bright side, I guess this means I have to come back every week to try something new and different, a positive that far outweighs the negative. Thanks for coming downtown. Well, I'm sad to see original owner, Julie, retire...good luck on your new adventure!!! But I'm writing a new review, having thoroughly enjoyed my first meal from the truck under new owners, Chef Dane Catering. As promised, a couple of the old faves were still on the menu (not my faves, but I'm hoping they'll still provide Julie's awesome Pastrami Pretzel Sliders, 4 Cheese Grilled Cheese with Tomato Soup, Eloté, Cauliflower Soup, etc.), but the new dishes sound very promising! This week, I chose the Pro Bowl (which I later learned stands for protein bowl...look at me, all healthy and stuff!). So glad I did! The short ribs in the mushroom demi-glacé were AMAZING! So tender, perfectly prepared with mushrooms and caramelized onions, and the flavor was wonderful. The portion was generous...I could only eat half, so I saved the rest for later...making it a great deal at around $15. The equally big portion of roasted cauliflower was, if you like cauliflower, probably delicious. I, myself, can only handle Julie's soup...I'm still not a fan of the actual veggie. So, I'm going to make some potatoes to go with my leftovers. Yum! Ok...so, I was almost eating like a skinny girl, for a minute there. :-) Anyway, give the new guys a try. They're doing just fine. I had the fried chicken biscuit and it was pretty good. One of the problems with a dish like that though it's that as I'm staring at biscuit, bacon, fried chicken, bacon gravy, egg and maple syrup I know I'm ruining my girlish figure so out needs to be worth it. It wasn't. I was intrigued by the maple syrup but it made the whole thing too sweet. I like when maple is balanced by smokiness but the bacon wasn't all that smoky. Maybe a maple bacon brittle would be a better vessel for the maple. The fried chicken was more of a chicken katsu. I would have preferred a buttermilk chicken our something like it. The biscuit was good, not great. The biscuit with fried chicken, egg, gravy, bacon that is available at Serious Biscuit is much better. And the one at Pine ST Biscuit in Portland is better still. The folks at Here and There seem nice though and it was good enough that I wouldn't rule out a return. read more

My wife and I went here to eat expecting something out of the ordinary. The menu was full of food that sounded really good. We finally settled on the jerk chicken tacos. I should note that my wife and I love taco trucks and have enjoyed the food from many we've visited. This taco truck seemed to be lacking. There weren't any seats which would have been nice. Just a couple folding chairs would have worked. The tacos were just ok. I think what was missing was a good mole. The actual chicken and was good, but was cold and has cold chunks of pineapple over it. It would have tasted better if the pineapple and chicken was hot. Basically the tacos were just an average meal. Overall I'd say we'd give this place another chance with a different food item. The staff was friendly and the food was quick. read more

My child participated in a lacrosse tournament at Sammamish River Regional Park. Here and There had their truck there. They had a turkey sandwich, which I heard somebody say was great, reubens, hot dogs and black bean sliders. Great food truck! The food is beyond amazing. There are days when I literally crave this place! They are pretty much in Edmonds throughout the week, so it makes it easy to find them. I have had several food things here and they have all been great! The Black Bean Sliders are beyond awesome. The Jalapeno roasted mayo is to die for and I always get extra for my fries. The BBQ Pulled Pork Sliders, as well as the Jerk Chicken Tacos and the Chicken, Avocado and Mango salad. They also have an awesomely creative knack to offering cool treats too, like Peanut Butter M&M cookies or Browned Butter Rice Krispie treats. I love them all! Their prices are a bit spendy and this is by far not a fast food place, so be sure to call in your order, which is pretty much what everyone does. I also wish they had nutritional information, but sadly no. Just be patient while waiting for your food and your tummy will thank me. read more

Looking at the menu I thought, what a variety! I wanted to get this and that. But I saw few other people get gyro so I made up my mind and got chicken gyro with a side salad. Chicken breast gyro was good. With flavorful tzatziki sauce and pleasant veggies. What I really liked was the side salad. Just the plain small bowl romaine lettuce with corn and beans with a drizzle of buttermilk dressing. Yumm. I would totally try their entree salads too! Will come back next Wednesday :) read more

I love this food truck! My coworkers and I usually come and get the cranberry turkey sandwich which is always on their menu, very simple but very delicious. The menu changes every week which makes it fun and all the dishes I have tried were great. The new owner has changed everything and today I ordered the Chicken Pro Bowl and paid $16 for a chicken thigh on a bed of flavorless steamed squash squished into a tiny hot plastic container. Slider find! Avoiding black bean sliders in most cases is standard operating procedures for me, opting for beef. Yesterday a friend shared her order with me and I actually will go to this food truck to order these specifically. These black bean sliders were moist, almost juicy and the avocado on top was a great touch. The one I had was large enough to be bigger than what I expected for a slider, perfect for lunch. Great place, and around the corner from my office, perfect option for lunch on Wednesdays. They change the menu weekly so you don't get bored with the options. Fast and fresh. I think its a bit on the pricier side for a food truck and lunch, but it makes up for it quality. Best grilled cheese ever, could be its own meal with the size and amount of cheese. Great sandwiches! The meatloaf sandwich was moist and delicious, like perfectly seasoned slices of paradise dressed with utopia served between two bread clouds.
