I've really been enjoying the quinoa salad at this location and am happy that this place exists so that I can add it into my take out lunch rotation. I've been hoping for some better lunch options around this area for a long time, as there are so few places that can accommodate a vegan friendly diet. Parking can be difficult, although free, and the service is not as fast as I would prefer, but I guess that's probably because everything is made fresh. Service behind the counter has been friendly and I like how you can see back into the kitchen area while they prepare your food. It looks like I can save some time by ordering online via the website. So far the quinoa salad is the only thing I have tried although many of the other salad options also sound appealing. I like that this is a healthy food option and that things are fresh, I am sure many people are excited that its organic. I wanted to try the soup, but they have been out of it whenever I ask. The quinoa salad is pretty huge and comes with delicious avocados in it. My coworkers have reported enjoying the things they have tried as well. I plan to take advantage of the smoothies and coffee on a visit soon. Personally I would love to see some more vegan friendly options, but they did assure me I could remove the dairy from most items.

Club sandwich and spinach salad. Half of each for the lunch special.

Food: They place has fresh, yummy food. A little pricey, but that's to be expected with fresh, organic ingredients. They have great sandwich and salad options. I had the club and spinach salad, both were great. Love the pepper jack on the club. I also got a vanilla latte--they serve my favorite coffee, Fidalgo Bay! It's good too. Service/Atmosphere: The person at the counter was new, but a seasoned employee came to her rescue and it worked out fine. I got my food pretty quick. They play good music. It's clean. And the front is a garage door that they open when it's nice! Bottom line: I will be back. Glad to see this type of place in Everett.

Love this place. Usually do a half salad, half sandwich veggie combo, yum. Having soup today and it's delicious. Plus, the staff is always really friendly.

If you're a health nut or part time health but like me but prefer organic options, come here. Local...check Clean...check Garage door opens to the sidewalk...check Smoothies, wraps, panini's, coffee and salads. They have juices but no green juice--just green smoothie. Food is wholesome and fresh, and no weird witty pieces of lettuce in my salad which is awesome because I always check on that. I will certainly return here whenever I'm in the north end. Watch out, they're not open on Sunday's yet. Thanks Luis for having the courage to open an organic cafe up.

I really wanted to like this place but they will not honor a restaurant.com gift certificate that I just got yesterday. They said sorry but they aren't supposed to be giving those out anymore.

Yummy! What a little gem of a place. Delicious organic sandwiches, salads, wraps, juices, and smoothies. And they have a "garage door" that opens the cafe to the street on warm days!! I can't wait. Thanks for being you Valley Organic Deli.

Fresh healthy lunch option, salads and sandwiches consistently good. A little expensive but I think worth it given the quality.

My friend moved to downtown Everett last year and is still exploring the area. She told me about…read morethe vegan joint nearby that she hadn't been to yet. We're both omnivores who eat a fair amount of plant-based fare for health reasons (I have allergies and intolerances, she's heeding doctor's advice). To be clear, this is a cafe, not a full blown restaurant. They serve luncheon fare, but it's a small operation so be either patient to don't bother - especially if there's a line. It's counter ordering with payment expected in advance. The tables closest to the window are a *little* harrowing because of the ADA ramp that leads to the door: the closest chairs can teeter down the ramp if the chairs are pushed back too far. Be careful. There are huge, regular, and small tables available. The biggest table is a little tricky to navigate for folks who want to sit in the booth side, but once seated it's quite lovely. I ordered the Pesto Pasta (involving zoodles: zucchini noodles) and a Sun Juice. My friend ordered the Grilled Cheese and Bisque. Please note: it's worth looking around this place while waiting for your food. You can conceivably get your own water, napkins and cutlery if you walk far enough along the counter towards the back of the restaurant. Back there, you may also notice a single-occupancy restroom and bins for bussing your own dishes. The Sun Juice arrived first, freshly blended, and was delicious. If that's what their juice is like, I look forward to exploring their smoothie offerings. My pasta arrived looking BEAUTIFUL on a bed of spinach, and smelled just as good. It tasted a teensy bit more of salt than I would've liked, but then I speared a sun dried tomato with my next bite and remembered that I'm not a food critic, just a happy customer. Although I'm not generally a fan of zoodles, they seemed to have the art of cooking them down pat: they didn't distract from the pesto at all. The bisque had an artful design of (coconut? cashew?) cream on top. My friend was delighted to note that it was a bit of spice to it: nothing challenging, but just enough for her to find comforting. Given the light and airy look of the inside and the rather rustic / flower-child look of the outside, she was not expecting that surprise. She was so impressed with the grilled cheese sandwich that she offered me a bite: we were both quite impressed with the "cheese" they used, as the item was listed as vegan on the menu. My friend kept whining that she's doomed, as they're close to where she lives *and* they deliver. Oh, yeah - poor her, indeed. Alas, alack, and so on.

Whole place is gluten free and dairy free- no exceptions! This is awesome for me because I can eat anything there and don't need a special menu. Don't overlook the zucchini- it cooks into the dish so well. I usually get it in the hot stone dish because I like how it crisps up the rice, but then I have to take it to go because it's a HUGE serving. That amount of protein and veggies for $15 is so iconic. They bring you sauce to the table and you can use as much as you want. So many choices tooo! To go boxes are usually needed, and they make great leftovers. Ample street parking, super kind staff. The poor server was solo and slammed, but she did get some help partway through. They've got a good selection of beer on tap, but I thought the cocktails were overpriced--nothing really stood out. I'd rather spend $16 on a craft cocktail at Colby Club. The food wasn't great. We got the calamari and it was bad--cold and honestly just bland. We also ordered the beer-battered halibut. It was okay, but a bit overcooked, and it came with fries... maybe 25 total for a 3-piece fish plate. Our bill was around $65 for two beers (with the $2 off Thursday special), the calamari, and the 3-piece halibut. Just overpriced for what it was. The place itself is cute, and they had acoustic music going, which was nice. The staff was friendly and really hustling with how busy it was. Overall, though, I didn't feel like it was worth it and probably wouldn't go back. I wish we could do .5 stars. I struggled between 2 & 3. I ended with 3 for the venue, live music (she was really good) and the awesome staff.
