We were promptly seated and tended to despite the restaurant experiencing an unusual rush since part of downtown Edmonds was dealing w a power outage at the time. Chips + salsa come complimentary for the table. Two of us went w their "grande" sized margaritas, while the other homegirl got a mojito. We also ordered their churros for dessert. The total was around $70 after tax/tip. Aight now for the ratings: - cucumber jal marg: 3/5 def on the spicy end; couldn't really taste the alc tbh! - ginger marg: 3/5 my friend liked the taste but again, alc was pretty diluted - mojito: 3/5 average - churros: 4.5/5 yooo these were pretty good lmao. A friend and I went this last weekend for dinner and had pico with guac and jalapeño poppers for appetizers, one spicy virgin margarita and a regular margarita, and shrimp and beef fajitas. All the food and drinks were good (I might prefer the jalapeños to have balsamic glaze since they're made with goat cheese though), staff are friendly, and the service was clean. We visited Edmonds downtown recently for the farmer's market and after walking around the town we decided to have dinner here. They have a super nice setup for outdoor dining. The customer service was great and, very friendly. We started with Spicy Goat Cheese Jalapeños. It was tasty and spicy. We loved the grilled Jalapeños with the creamy goat-cheese filling. After that, I ordered the mushroom fajitas, totally loved it. This was one of the places with a decent vegetarian menu. The only downside was that it was oily. We arrived well before closing, they were slow, but definitely not happy to see us, but said yes, we are still open. Pretty easy request, tortilla soup x 2, 1 margarita and 2 waters. Jalapeno cucumber margarita was delicious. The soup truly was pretty bad. I am a trained chef, spent so much time in Mexico.... About 3-4 months a year for years, and Mexican cuisine is one of my favorites. The broth was totally flavorless, the chicken was chunks of probably leftover seared chicken intended for other dishes, no fresh cilantro, no touch of lime, globs of white cheese at bottom of bowl. Been going here for our Mexican fix for years. Nice decor and upscale feel. Service for the last few visits was good - a bit lacking in turnaround time but friendly and accurate. Food taste and quality were above average but the rice was a weak point in the meals - a bit soggy and lacking in flavor. Carne asada was nicely seasoned and the right tenderness. Chips and salsa have also been great. Main issue is pricing which has climbed significantly over the years. So while the quality and taste have generally kept steady, the value proposition has declined by a large margin. In this day and age of hyper inflation, eating out has become largely unaffordable for regular people. This place is a testament to that phenomenon. We will likely be back from time to time but not as frequently due to the sheer cost. read more

Started coming here about 2 years ago and it has become one of my favorite restaurants. It's pretty. A pleasant, open space. The food is delicious and can satisfy a range of different diets (including vegan/vegetarian). My husband usually gets the fish tacos and loves them. This is like a Edmonds version of the popular Cactus chain. Their food quality is superior to many Mexican restaurants and, unlike some of their competitors, such as Santa Fe, down the road, the food at Las Brisas is healthy, fresh and absolutely delicious. Our favorites are the Carne Asada salad, or Carne Asada steak, as well as the chicken Molay, and they are various street tacos. They also have a fantastic chicken broth soup. And for vegetarians, there are many options, including a vegetarian section on the menu and organic tofu tacos! Try the Hibiscus Aqua Fresca and enjoy their fresh chips and guacamole! My favorite Mexican restaurant in the Puget Sound is Las Brisas! I have been a patron for over 15 years. The dishes are made with love and locally sourced, organic ingredients. My favorite appetizers are the Pico de Gallo and Guacamole and chips, Spicy Goat Cheese Jalapinos (watch the heat!). The Pozole, Tortilla Soup and Albondigas Soup are fresh and full of flavor. Nice on a cold day. Chicken Mole is fantastic! Atmosphere is beautiful and always being upgraded. Nice to sit by the fire or in the bar area if you want a quiet place to enjoy conversation with friends. Or the spacious dining room for families and larger groups. Please do stop by to experience Mexican food that is delicious and good for you. The servers are courteous and willing to answer questions about all dishes. We had intended months ago to try their added weekend brunch menu and just hadnt made it there yet. We've been enjoying the Kahlo's turned La Palmera restaurant due to the greatly improved food, staff and value so we had just not ventured out. In fact we had intended to go to La Palmera today, but when we called to ask if they would be able to sub egg whites on any of the breakfast dishes, it was a cursory no. And when we called Las Brisas it was a happily yes, so we went there. Ironically the menu looked so fantastic, we didnt even sub for any egg whites and just ordered the huevos rancheros over hard and the benedict with poblano hollandaise with eggs poached hard. Both dishes ended up being the best we've ever had and we sat right in front of the station where the attendant was making fresh tortillas! The staff were a cut above La Palmera and the food was of chef table quality. They are definitely on the top of their game. We'll be going there now in the future. read more

I am loath to provide stars less than four for fear that many sea h yelp for reviews don't read the reviews and rely simply on the "score". There's far more to life than the score. My two favorite lunch spots here are the Thai Cottage and Chanterelle! But I wanted more than soup, sandwiches and salads so the latter was out and the Thai Cottage was slammed, far too may people and tables too close for my personal Covid related preferences. So, I thought Mexican food was what I craved. Las Brisas is one of two "Mexican" restaurants that I know of in downtown Edmonds. Big shout out to the people and leadership of the city of Edmonds, I love coming here for shopping and dining. It's clean, courteous and quaintly eclectic. But, this is a review of Las Brisas, not Edmonds. Las Brisas came highly recommended by one of the shop owners and I decided to try it. There were by my count two tables occupied outside and two tables inside had diners. And two staff one being the bartender, I don't know how many were in the kitchen. Being a single I chose to eat at the bar - same menu why take a table for four and sit by myself. There was a couple dining at the end of the bar near the kitchen, perfect! I sat at the other end. Initial service was good with friendly greetings and a set up including water and an adult beverage (Don Julio 1942) neat off the top shelf (see pictures). I didn't see the recommended dish in the menu, so I inquired about ordering it ala carte. Sure! So I ordered carne asada extra spicy with "Mexican rice" , pinto beans and corn tortillas. And, then I sat for at least 20 minutes watching a football (soccer) game with the couple at the other end of the bar. My guess is the bartender took his lunch break. When he returned I inquired about my meal, he said it will be right out and offered me another tequila which I declined. Ten minutes later my meal arrived! The plate was hotter than hell, the food not so much. The carne asada was over cooked and bland - like nursing home or hospital bland, as was the rice which was only authentic Mexican in color. The pinto beans were likewise tasteless served right from some institutional can. The tortillas were non descriptive. I snagged the bartender as he wondered by and requested the check, he was very efficient with this part. I tipped large, thinking these people were struggling to survive. In summary: food good but boring and service slightly less than acceptable. read more

Ordered Chicken Burrito online through their website and paid online. 15 minutes later, I haven't gotten a confirmation so I call them. Apparently it didn't go through because, despite the fact that I had ordered a Chicken Burrito, they needed to check what type of meat it had. Walk over without my card since I paid online. When I show up, they say that because of the malarkey with the meat thing they needed to re-run the card. Head home again and come back with the card, then go back home to eat my (now cold) burrito. I had lunch their a few days ago. The restaurant is very nice and clean and the service very good. I was served chips and salsa just after being seated. When my food arrived it was served on a oven hot plate very professional beautiful presentation of the meal. I just had one big problem that was it lacked any flavor and was very bland everything was perfect but the food it self. I guess for many people who like bland non spicy food it would be great maybe if the served traditional Mexican food they would loose business to the locals who can't handle it. Carne Asada was cooked perfectly, loved the guacamole it came with. I loved the Dungeness Crab Enchiladas, so much crab meat, cooked perfectly. The green sauce on top added so much flavor. Visited with a friend. I hadn't been before and was looking forward to some good Mexican-American food having been to Mexico several times and living in SoCal a few years, I am familiar with good Mexican/Mexican-American food. Sorry to say the food here missed the mark and by a wide margin. The chicken in my enchilada (about the size of a large cigar) was dried out and tasted like it may have been reheated several times and was very very bland. The small bowl of refried beans was also bland and lukewarm, not hot and not garnished with queso fresco as the picture in another review shows. The ($8.00!!) bowl of pico de gallo was wonderfully fresh, but again, lacked seasoning. It desperately needed a diced serrano chile, a healthy squeeze of lime and some salt. The person who served us was polite and cordial...when he was around. The restaurant had, at the most, 3 tables with customers including us. Not sure what was keeping the server so busy. We asked for separate checks but he brought a single check. Apologized and came back with separate checks. My companion ordered a soft drink...never showed up. We had to ask for water after draining our glasses and so on. Between the high prices, the bland and mediocre food and the bland and mediocre service I don't plan to come back. Sorry I couldn't be more positive here, but I didn't really have a positive experience. read more

Went to the edmonds art walk and decided to try Las Brisas. The ambiance was nice outside and right when you walked in with the fireplace that surrounds some seating. The other part of the restaurant reminded me of a cafeteria how it was set up. It was busy they had a large party plus several other tables. The service was slow probably because of the larger party. The wait staff was very nice though. Ok let's talk about the food. There was four of us and they brought out two plates and didn't bring the tortillas. They brought the 3rd dish and it was incorrect dish. They came back with the correct dish and the 4th dish probably ten minutes later. They brought the tortillas as well and the other two dishes were cold by the time they came out. I don't understand why places don't bring out all the food at once. It's just awkward when people are eating and the others don't have their food. I don't like cold food and I wasn't about to eat my dish without the tortillas. I wasn't happy. I also asked if the fajitas came out on a sizzling Blackstone and they said yes and they came out on a plate. If it was on the stone, it would've still been hot by the time they brought the tortillas out. The consensus around the table was the food was average, the service was slow and we were there for 1.5 hours too long. I didn't get a picture of the 4th dish. read more

My very sweet elderly parents have been faithful customers of this restaurant for 20 years. The food has gotten worse and worse and the prices keep going up. After tonight (4/29/25), they will never eat there again. They got a tiny little corn salad which used to be $16 and is now $20 and it's about half as big as it used to be. There were disgusting stringy things in the salad which my parents couldn't even identify. They got enchiladas with pinto beans - the pinto beans weren't even fully cooked. The shredded beef was crusty and dried up. The tortilla chips were stale - like cardboard. This has to be the worst restaurant not only in Edmonds but in the greater Seattle area. They split an enchilada dinner and got one tiny disgusting little corn salad and it cost them $55. Take our advice - never eat here! read more
