Visited Herencia Cuisine while on a weekend getaway at Exotic Zoo Resort. We got a to-go go order of Brussels sprouts, chicken ravioli, and Chicken pesto panini. The order took a while to make but the chef was kind so it balances the wait time. Plus he gave us extra chicken to make up for the wait. The Brussels sprouts and ravioli were amazing. Loved it. The chicken panini however was a little dry. It would have been 5 stars if the chicken was more juicy. It is also a bit overpriced but that was pretty much all restaurants in the area. read more

Excellent but fairly overpriced food. We got the mushroom, and chicken pesto risottos, for $16 a piece. They were ~1.5 cups of food at most, and extremely tasty. For the richness, you probably shouldn't eat much more than that but as far as value goes $16 for that amount is a bit steep, especially for Johnson City. read more

First off just wanted to say THE OWNER IS SO INCREDIBLY SWEET! Food was beyond delicious, cooked to perfection and came out so incredibly fast for it just being him! The fries were literally the PERFECT crunch and saltiness to them. The burger was cooked to the perfect temperature and seasoned so well! The pesto tasted so so yummy and I don't remember what that other tall burger was but damn it was all so good! And like I said. The wait was maybe 10 minutes if that. Idk I wasn't counting BUT it did not feel long AT ALL!!! There was outdoor seating since it is a good truck. Wind was slightly breezing and sun shining but we were under a shaded area. My husband discovered this food truck during our anniversary weekend in the hill county. I am so happy that he did. It was honestly the best meal we had during our entire trip. We ordered a cheeseburger with fries and while we waited, the chef Christophe, chatted with us about his background and where we have traveled/lived. It felt very special that he was interested about us as people as he prepared our food. I honestly didn't even see him make everything since we were enjoying our chat. It's those little interactions that go a long way when serving someone, and I appreciated the care and attention he put into our order. It was obvious he is a pro and takes pride in his food and service. Now, for the food, it was literally mouth watering, hot and delicious. The meat was perfectly medium rare with balanced flavors between the cheese and the sauce. My picture does it no justice, but please know if you get to experience this truck, it will be worth it! The only disappointment that I had was that I could not return again to try something else from the menu before we left. Ah well, just another reason to return back to Johnson City. As we travel often to Leakey Tx, our common stop is in Johnson City to get some coffee and to stretch our legs. We'd heard rumblings of the great food at the "orange food trailer" off the side of 290 (Main St.) there so figured we'd pay a visit. Wow was it ever worth it IMO. I was craving some chicken so had the Chicken Pesto sandwich (on Panini I think?) and it was more than I could have hoped for. But for me, of equal importance, is the time we had with the owner Christophe. Great stories, easy conversationalist, wonderful experience. We will be spending more time there as we pass through. read more

This orange food truck delivers some of the best food. This French chef knows what he's doing. His brussels sprouts are incredible, every soup special has been great, his burger is one of the best I've ever had, and his brunch is a must try. Christophe rotates his menu and the specials have always impressed. Located next to Infamous brewery, so you can grab a beer with your lunch. There's also a playscape for kiddos. read more
