Stopped by on our road trip and always happy to find a good coffee shop with good food options. This place itself only sells pastries and small bites but its located in a food truck park with breakfast tacos/bowls called Our Little Kitchen that was very yummy. They stock Greater Goods beans and we love the coffee. Matcha comes sweetened but its pretty good. Very nice interior, seating and clean bathrooms. They also have a drive thru and outdoor patio. This has been my favorite coffee shop for the last five years! I live in San Antonio however I love to getaway on the weekends to destress in the beautiful Texas hill country. One of my favorite ways to spend a Saturday is to stop by Johnson City Coffee early in the morning. I get a cold brew and my fur baby gets a puppuccino and we enjoy it on the patio. Then we head to Pedernales Falls State Park for some hiking. If you're ever in the area, stop in! I was passing through JC from Kerrville as I had to venture out west for a work appointment. Making my drive back to Austin, I was definitely feeling tired and needed a pick-me-up. I saw that JC Coffee looked like a place that could offer that solution! The lady at the pick-up window was super sweet, and apologized for mispronouncing my name. I wasn't able to take a picture of my coffee, but it was a peppermint latte made with oatmilk. This seems like a really nice spot. I got the Gus's go-to because creamy + chocolate + hazelnut and I'm sold. It was delicious and I found myself wanting to grab another coffee. Overall, I thought this place was spacious and had delicious coffee. It looks like they use Greater Good Coffee which I love. They even have a section where you can add your own milks (e.g soy, coconut, almond, and regular milk)!! Honestly if you're making the drive through Johnson City, I highly recommend you stop here for some coffee, take a pit stop at their clean bathrooms, & maybe relax a bit on their bench swing outside. read more

Definitely check this place out!! My family and I have enjoyed an extended stay in JCTX since December 2025 and JCCC and the people here are such a gem. We most often see Autumn who always greets us by name even though we don't go there super often and were new in town. Also, both she and Gus have been great resources about the area. Daniel is always friendly and helpful, too. The coffee is delicious and there are various treats we can't resist like the chocolate pistachio cookies (omg!!) and the maple pecan scones (yum). You can also get some locally made sourdough bread sold there by an outside vendor (so good). Worth mentioning is that there are a number of other yummy drinks and a few food items you can get in here besides coffee. If you're really hungry, outside in the lot there are a number of great food trucks with heartier options. Truly a great place to stop for a quick drink or bite with a drive thru for convenience or ya can walk-in where the vibe is nice for hanging out, reading, playing games or doing some work. Super cute, REALLY sweet staff, totally dog friendly and DELICIOUS drinks! Stopped in here on a Friday mid morning to chat with clients and the experience could not have been better! I got an iced oat milk latte with a little hazelnut syrup and it was perfection. My clients loved their hot latte and their chocolate frappe, too! Everyone behind the counter was so nice and accommodating. . They offered my client's dog a pup cup and when he politely declined they still walked out, engaged with their dog and gave him a little treat for some tricks! Loved it so much we came back the next day! Coffee shops are basically my favorite thing on the planet so I was so excited to learn that Johnson City had a local one to offer! On our first visit I ordered the iced Gus' Goto (espresso plus cold brew with chocolate milk) and a cranberry-orange scone and on the second visit I ordered the Honey Pecan Latte. My recommendation? Get it all! It is too good to choose just one, especially if you aren't able to come back easily. The coffee drinks were smooth, the scone was soft, buttery, and flavorful. I've been here a few times and every time have top service and enjoy my drink. Today I got the same drink o always order and the clerk responded to my drink as if I was dumb... after the order she said, well that isn't at all a latte it's a heavy cream latte so let me go back and change all this. I dream about their Kay's Honey Pecan Latte. I am a HUGE Johnson City Coffee fan and pledge to stop by every time we head out to Fredricksburg. I have been about about a half dozen (or more) times and truly enjoy the coffee every time. On our most recent visit we arrived around 10am on a Saturday and were excited to see that there was a live musician playing outside. It just added to the already great ambiance. It looks like they have recently added an bigger outdoor dining area near the parking lot for customers to enjoy the food trucks as well. The inside is super cute and has modern farmhouse vibes. The customer service has always been great and we have been greeted with a smile (even when going through the drive thru). My go-to order is an iced Kay's Honey Pecan latte. It is not too sweet and perfectly nutty. I also tried their bourbon peach scone and it was delicious! I recommend that you stop by when you are in town, it is definitely worth it! read more
