Okay, so needles are NOT my thing. My doctor said I needed to donate, so here I went. Check in was easy and, yes, they do ask a lot of questions on the questionnaire as they have to. Once the check in process is done you are whisked back for a blood pressure and temperature check then a quick finger prick to test your iron level. Once that's done, to the donation area you go. The seat was comfy and the staff, well, amazing, to say the least. Once you complete the donation, they have a waiting area they ask you to wait for a while just to make sure you are ok. Plenty of juice, snacks and bottled water. A great experience in the end and it was nice knowing I not only helped myself but someone else that as well. read more

Clean, fast, and easy. The staff is really friendly and THANKFUL to have you there. They appreciate you taking the time out of your day to help save lives. (Thank you if/when you choose to donate!!!) - Appointments make it convenient and they call/text reminders. Walk ins are also welcomed though! - Check in process is easy and the waiting area is comfortable and clean. - Private interview rooms for screening prior to donation. - The donation room is open. Number of folks there with you will vary due to day/ time of day. I have never felt crowded here. - The staff is well trained. Very efficient. I have *knock on wood* never required any additional needle sticks at this location. Not always the case elsewhere. - Cantina has juice and snacks and very friendly volunteers. This is a nice, clean facility and it's easy to make appointments. They offer promotions (like gift cards) fairly regularly, if that matters to you. The employees here aren't exactly attentive or friendly, and one of the phlebotomists was quite rude to me. Most of them have started my donation and then stood across the room talking to their coworkers rather than observing the donors. I donated once when the donor next to me fainted, and two of the staff stood her up before taking her blood pressure. This is basic stuff that's not only sloppy but dangerous. read more

This place was awful. Online the wait said only 2 hrs max and when I showed up and gave all my information they said the wait would be 4 hours. Not worth the money read more

Lane Blood Center is the absolute best place I have ever donated platelets. I used to be a Red Cross regular, but after moving to Eugene and going to Lane Blood Center, I'm a changed person! The staff are friendly, efficient, and skilled. They have the most up-to-date technology to get temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and iron count. The phlebotomists are lovely people, and are the most accurate needle-stick I've found! I've got super tricky veins, and Sam and Julie get me every time! Their machines are crazy efficient compared to the Red Cross, even though they only do single-arm draws here. They provide tablets and tablet stands if you need them, and are attentive to all of your needs as you donate. Their recovery area has fresh cookies, lots of choices for food and drink, and even a puzzle if you feel up to it. There is also often a staff member there to help you schedule your next appointment. Lane Blood Center has given me the absolute best donation experience I've ever had, and I'm excited to continue donating with them! (They also don't spam you with calls, which is amazing!) read more
