Heritage Cycles is the place to go for a fun bike buying experience. The owners helped me pick out a bike that was perfect for a newbie cyclist like myself. They were super friendly and patient with my limited knowledge of bikes. They took their time in explaining different bikes, they weren't pushy, and they didn't make me feel like an idiot for not knowing anything about bikes. I was able to try out several bikes. They helped fit my new bike, and assisted with putting it in my car. With my bike purchase I get 3 years (one a year) tune-ups. The whole experience was so much fun. I am a pretty avid rider and trust this shop for all my maintenance and repairs. You can trust they will do it right for a very reasonable price. Recently I needed some advice after my bike was damaged while in transit to Missouri. Josh knew what I needed and even called shops near my destination to make sure they had the parts and time to keep me on schedule. That kind of service is unheard of in any segment of retail. Earlier today I went to Heritage Cycles for the first time. The owners are great! Additionally, I went to their store around 4:15pm after having contacted one store owner earlier in the day. I needed some new brake pads and some new bike pedals. One owner went above and beyond attending to my bicycle by washing or cleaning my bike rims. That said both owners gave me some advice on bicycle maintenance and what the store had to offer as it related to bicycle repair. Took my sons bike to fix the loose chain. Now, I understand that I am not a bike expert and know there can be other underlying issues to mechanical "vehicles", however, this bike should be a simple fix. It does have gears, no bells or whistles, just a simple mongoose bike. When I brought it in I was told they would recommend a tune up for $50. When I pushed back then I was told $25 MIGHT fix the problem. After talking with my husband, we thought that this was still a bit pricey and felt like maybe a second opinion was warranted. When we went for a second opinion at another local bike guy in our neighborhood, he fixed the wobbly pedals in 30 seconds with a crescent wrench free of charge. I put this here because I feel like perhaps I was going to be taken advantage of. When I shared this story with others I was encouraged to write review so that others may be aware of the same. I was told there have been multiple people bringing their bikes into this shop that were quoted an outrageous price for a simple problem. I don't normally write these things but I feel like I was misled and almost ripped off and you should be aware. If you need another bike guy in the GC area. I took my bike in after it had been sitting in the garage for years. It had two flat tires and gear shifters that didn't work. They did a tune up and it didn't need anything but a cable. They had it done earlier than I anticipated. The cost for a tune up was very reasonable and it includes a very thorough inspection. I'm very pleased with my choice to have Heritage service my bicycle and look forward to doing business with them in the future. read more

Honest, great group of guys and gals here. They have kept our bikes in great shape, even the poorly neglected bike we picked up second hand. There is a group that rides together regularly from the shop. Even though we aren't exactly the most physically fit, they offer great rides and make it so much fun!! Wanted to give a shout out to the great people at Heritage. I was visiting family in Grove City and brought my bike along and broke a spoke on my morning ride. Even though they were very busy, they made time to fix my bike so I could ride again the next day. They also have set my mom up with a sweet bike so she can keep riding at age 82. read more

I have never been to Heritage Cycles, but I want to put in a good word for Thomas, who works there. I was riding on Camp Chase Trail yesterday and got a flat tire. I have tried and failed to fix flats several times in the last few years - just can't seem to manage it. I was about to google "fix a flat tire" when a rider stopped and asked if I needed help. Thomas quickly fixed the flat while explaining each step of the process. He was friendly and matter-of-fact, as if this happened every day, which maybe it does for him. Then he hopped back on his bike and continued on his way to the shop. He really made my day. If Thomas is representative of the people who work there, I highly recommend Heritage Cycles. read more

My story may make you laugh and smile... I'm a single mom.. my 8 year old got a bike for his birthday last year from his grandma. He loves his bike. He literally rides it everyday. Well of course (the worst timing) at the start of summer break his bike tire gets flat, then he brings me an item that he said was stuck in his tire. So I assumed the inner tube needed changed. I went to my nearest Walmart and bought a replacement. I decided I would fix it.. I mean how hard could it be? Youtube walks you through everything... and I've fixed tons of things around my home myself and done just fine. Well let's just say after getting the tire off and the removing the inner tube.. which was hell. I think I needed a tool to help make that step easier.. (oh-well) Back to the story...So I tried to put the new inner tube on but couldn't figure out if I was doing it correct. I took it to the gas station for air. Well the inner tube wouldn't inflate. I thought maybe it needs inflated the put on the wheel. It took me 2+ hours and still no luck. So I searched and found this local bike spot. I new I was going to be nearby it so that week I stopped in and not only did they install the new inner tube they also put it back on the back for me. It took them less than 10 mins and the price was extremely reasonable and fair. I was very thankful and so was my son. He had begged me for days to fix his bike and when I attempted he kept checking in on my status. Thanks for the fast service and reasonable price.. we will be back for our other biking needs. read more

I just bought a bike for 630.00 2 hours ago and found it for 503.99 at REI Co-op on Sawmill Rd. Called the store and spoke to the girl that sold it to me and she basically said too bad, we don't return bikes or price match. She didn't tell me about the return policy, and I did not notice one posted. I did not ask as well, so my fault on that. First and last time buying from them. I dropped in on a Thursday with two bikes that were grossly neglected. I have moved to Grove City and my bikes were banged up from the move plus sitting in the garage for over a year. The gears/brakes were slipping on the Trek...and the tires were bad on the Specialized. I got a call on Saturday to come pick them up. I got two minor tune ups for both bikes and now they ride like the day I purchased them. I took them our for a long ride...rediscovering why I loved biking. As a fairly new resident of Grove City, went to go for a ride last night and had a flat on the rear of my bike...got on yelp to find a repair shop close by....saw Heritage in downtown G.C., took my bike there this morning and they fixed my bike while i waited at what i thought was a very reasonable price.....i know where i will go for any future bike work! read more

I went in to replace a couple of tires on the wife's yard cart and got great customer service from a knowledgeable staff.

Stopped in to the bike shop which is right down from our house on Thursday April 20th. I had my 12 year old son with me who is interested in building his own bike, as well as my two elderly parents. The shop looks very nice and seems to have a ton of modern and antique bikes. However when we entered the shop, there were two young men behind the counter who seemed to be working on bike parts, and there was a young woman sitting in the back on a stool playing on her phone. The young woman looked up at us a couple times but said nothing. No one greeted us, no one asked if we needed to be helped. Just a bit of advice. If someone comes into the shop with a kid, especially if they look like grandparents, they are probably looking to drop some money on their grandchild. Since no one there seemed interested in the fact that we were even in there, and they knew we were there, we just left. I guess we'll keep our business at Bakerized. Every time we go in there somebody always comes out and talks to us and takes time to show stuff to my son and answers all of his questions. They take a real interest in kids. read more
