I'm glad. Yes, it's located in the Walmart I don't like. Yes, the office is super small. But every single person, from the check in to the assistant to our doctor was AMAZING. They were all super nice and friendly. There was a wait; my appointment was 2:40 and I didn't get seen until after three, but I was ok with it. I did not see Doctor Hollingsworth. I saw the female doctor whose name escapes me, but she was lovely to both me and my child. She took time to make sure all tests were done and that we could see things clearly. I really loved her and can't wait to be a repeat customer.

I really appreciate how he makes sure my frames fit well. Not everyone in the office is the kind and helpful. And one time, my family member passed away and I ended up being 7 minutes late to my appointment. They treated me so mean. I was nearly in tears but they berated me for being late. The offices are clean and the technology is up to date. I was offered a digital scan for pupil dilation instead of the drops. So - if your don't like those drops, there is an alternative option. I met with optometrist Stacy Turner and she was very nice. She was also very thorough with her explanations. She was very willing to answer anyone of my questions. I was then handed of to another person to explain my insurance benefits. Overall, the staff was very welcoming from start to finish. I'm very surprised to see so many negative reviews. What I experienced at our last appointment was "wrong!" It is this kind of treatment that causes the public to lose trust in their doctors and leave without the doctor knowing why. For over 10+ years our family has relied on Dr. Bunch to give us the best eye exams and outstanding customer service. With respect, we have had a ten-year history with Bunch Family Eyecare, we have always followed insurance procedures, paid our bills and kept our appointments. Yes, Dr. Bunch is an excellent ophthalmologist. However, this last appointment was "disaster" from the beginning to the end. In short, after our appointment with Dr. Bunch, we sat in the lobby waiting for someone to follow up and explain our bill. I had a difficult time getting someone to clarify what everything cost. Evidently, Billy is gone. This has never happened before. Dr. Bunch's new office staff was frustrated and just wanted us to pay the bill. This is a new staff -- not the same people we have worked with for years. We paid the $535.00 bill and were told that we would get a call about the new lenses when they arrived. Once I got home and I had a moment to process the bill, I was very upset. I realized this bill was for the eye exam and the glasses only. The contacts were not included, so I called. This was the first time I got the news and learned that we were not eligible with our insurance for the eye exam. I was very angry that they proceeded without telling us that we were not eligible. My call was forwarded to the person who claimed she did call me and told me that we were not eligible for insurance coverage. I argued with her. I adamantly explained that she did not call us or I would have rescheduled. She hung up on me! She hung up on me! Are you kidding me? I could not believe this was how she chose to handle me. I was not cussing, degrading her or threatening her. I sincerely wanted an explanation for what happened. To me, she knew she was wrong and made a mistake. I called back. I politely explained that I think I figured out what happened. They called my son who made an appointment for himself around the same time. He was told he was not eligible for insurance. I believe the same person who hung up on me got our family mixed up and did not know our daughter had a separate appointment. She never called me!!! This was the only way this made sense. There was no apology, no taking responsibility that they made a mistake, nothing to offer to fix this. I emailed Dr. Bunch. I was sincerely that angry. I felt confident that he would find a fair way to fix this. I stated there was a miscommunication on their part. In addition, I was very disappointed at the person who hung up on me. She was too comfortable doing this to me. If she did this to me I guarantee you she does it to other customers -- and he would never know about it unless someone contacted him and reported her as I have. He sent me snail mail. Can you believe it? A simple apology. No offer for a fair fix. I followed up to pick up the eyeglass prescription a few days later. The lady that hung up on me left the room. The office manager was short. I decided at that moment that we were not going to be treated like this and it was obvious that our business meant nothing to them. I asked for a refund for the glasses. They refund the prescription lenses but not the eye exam that was their mistake. I am out of pocket $250.00. I told the office manager that we will not return. She did not care. It is my best guess that Dr. Bunch is either retiring and/ or planning to sell this business soon. Their hours and days keep getting shorter and shorter. There was a time when he would have never let something like this go this far -- he would have fixed it. This is no longer a humble family-owned business that has a true investment in their clients. Do you really want to invest your time in a place like this? As I said, it is this kind of treatment that causes the public to lose trust in their doctors and leave without the doctor knowing why.
