How can you call yourselves an urgent care facility when patients must have an appointment and you're all booked up?

Against my better judgement I came here instead of going straight to the ER for my sinus inf I've…read morehad for over 2weeks. Showed up here & they were "open" but there was no doctor to see anyone?! I asked why they were open for customers and she says "for paperwork". The other girl piped in "for people to make appts". Oh, because someone is going to drive out there to make an appt for a walk in urgent care (do they even do that?) instead of calling? I said wow okay... off to the ER I guess. Was trying to save some $ by not going to the hospital but no other choice, my GP couldn't get me in until next week. Based on this, and the myriad of other negative reviews of terrible service & HIPAA violations I wonder 1)how this place is still open 2) what the point of having an urgent care here is if it's not available to help people due to incompetent or "unavailable" providers. ***Lastly; people that come in here & get treated poorly and/or experience breaches in HIPAA by incompetent doctors MUST REPORT THIS TO THE STATE! Also complaints can be made to the doctors governing board if there is one here. These doctors are not at the top. YELP IS NOT ENOUGH!!! Or else this will continue & nothing will change.

Zero stars. Super curious how one applies for insurance, declares this dive bar of a health…read morepractice as my primary physician since this place's internet presence says "accepting new patients" and is confirmed by my insurance, and I was accepted, as a patient, three months ago. Fast forward to today, call to make an appointment, am told they aren't taking new patients. Hi yeah I'm already a patient, "no we aren't taking new patients." I ask how does that happen since I'm already a patient, I get "we have zero available slots." I know Amador health care sucks but goddamn this place is horrendous. Go literally anywhere else.

I was seen relatively quick tho there were just a few others waiting. I have a very high tolerance…read morefor pain and when it was too much, I went to Jovive. The PA who took care of me wasted no time giving me the steroid injection I needed. Also, everyone there was polite and kind. I hate going to doctors but this visit was quite necessary and I'm glad I decided to go in.

This is a fantastic place to go for typical urgent care needs. For nine years I've had fantastic…read morecare. Today was a different scenario. I am a weekly infusion patient who is been very sick for approximately a week. My daughter came down with a Staph G infection, so my immediate concern having a primary immune disorder was, I hope being around her the day before doesn't get me sick. I did not have a sore throat or her symptoms. I am a patient who spends quite a bit of time in the hospital. I have been profusely sweating, severe migraine, also the beginning of lung pain, horrible fatigue, etc. I never go to the hospital if possible, do to both germs and literally always being admitted. I also get chronic bronchitis, and pneumonia. I wouldn't have drug myself in three layers of clothing with sweats freezing unless I knew for sure what what infection was coming. As always, the staff is fantastic, the N.,P should have stayed in bed. She did not listen to my lungs. I am so angry with the poor practitioner care I just called her. I stated also, as a health care professional, where was her mask, response, I don't wear one. Everyone in the office but her had a mask on, even a toddler in the waiting room. I told her she just saw a patient with a rare primary immune disease who lives on infusions of donor plasma, and immunoglobulins. Still she didn't put on a mask. It's impossible to hear anyone's lungs with four layers of clothing on, nursing 1A! She did not tell me what she was calling in. On the way out I had to ask the receptionist what was called in. I looked at her and said what, she nodded and asked me if that was okay. I said, I'm sure I'll be back then, I didn't have the energy to deal with that woman in person, hence the call. If she was having a bad day, she should have said that, I would have understood, we probably may have laughed a bit saying, don't you hate working when you're having a bad day. I told her to call my immunologist. Needless to say, if you have a N.P. named Kathryn, be ready, just make sure you . Otherwise, as usual, for the third time I want to reiterate, I will remain a patient if I have any U.C.needs. Sorry, had to make sure if they see this woman here in Cameron Park, stand up for yourself.Back to bed.
