They do rent paddle boards and kayaks and will even take it to and from the lake for you for a delivery fee. The guy at the store told us about one of their lakeside kiosks where they have the equipment right there. Off we went towards Salmon Lake. It was located at Salmon Lake State Park. $10 an hour!! Such a great rate and the girl running it was so friendly. It was nice to be treated like decent human beings after being treated like dirt at Holland Lake. If you want to have fun at an affordable price and be treated like they are happy to have your business this is the place for you!

I almost didn't go in because often secondhand sports equipment is sometimes expensive, and since I'm a total a noob with gear I always fear employees will be annoyed. This place proved me wrong. Everything in there was an extremely fair price, with some great markdowns and sales throughout. I got a Patagonia raincoat thing that fit me perfectly that had been marked from 40 (pretty good) to 15 (wow!!!) The prices were really great but what really blew me away was the customer service. I've been curious about taking up a new skateboarding habit as an inexperienced 26 year old and decided to ask them how to get started, as I was curious about some of their boards. Mini (one of the owners, basically the sweetest person you'll ever meet) INSISTED on taking me next door to give me a few pointers. So I basically got a free skateboarding lesson, tons of great advice, and on the way out I ended up finding an amazing unicycle, a size I've been wanting for awhile but was afraid to buy online without trying. They of course encouraged me to try that too and took the time to make sure I left with everything adjusted to just the right size and the tire newly blown up. Fantastic friendly folks here, and amazing fun gear, vintage and new alike. Can't wait to be back!

We designed our entire float and drop off plan around something you could have communicated to us to avoid a Waste of time We now had to pay out of pocket when not planning to and had to drive all over town just to rent. It was a bike rack we'd purchased from another REI and had to get things replaced. I went up to the front counter and was met with a very weird attitude/criticism and weird looks that I didn't know to go to the bike counter in the back of the store(didn't even know there was a counter back there).... Got back to that counter and the bike guys were like no, you could have done this up there, no reason to haul the rack back here.... Otherwise a solid REI just a very weird social encounter that threw both my wife and I.

As soon as I got in I was stopped by a cashier who demanded I leave my backpack in my car because it's their "policy". I said like hell it is, the Hamilton store lets me bring it in - so it's clearly not a corporate policy. Treating customers like criminals is pretty tacky. I left and went to my home store and guess what - they let me bring my backpack.
