I have been going to Jamie for years. She is so experienced and always works literal magic with my hair. She installs Bellami sew-in hair extensions for me and transforms my hair every time. I have also gotten a Brazilian Blowout service in the past which made my hair silky straight and stunning. Jamie helps me feel confident and beautiful and I would recommend her to anyone. She was my wedding hair stylist and I loved how she styled my hair and my bridesmaids' hair. Heritage salon is super cute and right in the heart of AG village. I like having short hair and she has done a chic French bob on me two times, as well as an edgy little wolf cut just this last week and I am in love! Incredible Salon!! I have gotten my hair done here a few times. I live out of state and only visit once or twice a year but whenever I do I like to schedule an appointment. Each time the quality has remained consistent.... Top-tier service. I love knowing my hair will come out fabulous no matter what (dark, highlighted, or red!). I have long, thick dark hair that is not the easiest to work with but I made an appointment with Jamie a few months back and had one of the best and easiest to maintain haircuts of my life. (Also, great experience in the cute and quiet salon). Not only does she really know what she's doing but she's excellent at figuring out what you want/need and is easy to talk to. I loved working with her so much, I hired her to style my hair and my maid of honor's hair for my wedding. It turned out fantastic and was exactly what we were looking for. Ladies, we all know how scary it can be to try a new hair salon for the first time. But I am here to tell you, fear not! Heritage Salon is where it's at! From the moment I walked in and was greeted by Marissa, I felt comfortable and excited. The salon is small so there is a lovely intimacy about it. I visited on a Saturday so it was pretty busy in there, but the stylists were all extremely focused. Marissa was so bubbly and fun to talk to throughout the process (ballyage on my black hair, not a quick appointment!) and really listened to what I wanted. Not only did she listen, she delivered! I am so happy with the way my hair turned out. Marissa took the time to dust my ends after the blow dry which I really appreciated. All of the products the salon uses (Davine and IGK) are vegan and cruelty-free, so that fact alone earned a star from me. Even though parking is sometimes a pain in the village, especially on a Saturday, the salon is in such a cute space. Just get there a little early so you can park! read more

I've never had toner burn my scalp before until I got my hair done here on 11/3. After I got home I noticed my scalp was still burning. I waited two days and it still wasn't feeling better. Then it dawned on me that maybe there is still toner on my scalp. I remember her just rinsing my hair after the toner and barely putting on a conditioner real quick and a quick rinse. Sure enough, after washing my hair two days later, my scalp is not burning anymore. I will not be returning to this salon. On top of that, she wasn't very friendly and she made me sit there for almost 10 minutes so she could answer her phone in the back and then I waited another 5 just to pay. I've been here many times, but won't be returning. read more

I walked into the Salon and was able to set up an appointment for a consultation. When a stylist moved out of the area, she made sure that I was lined up with another sylist. They are all very professional and pricing is reasonable. It is a comfortable and quiet salon. It shows that the sylists take pride in their work. read more

Chelsey (the owner) is a magician with hair. I have referred countless friends to her and trust no one else with my crazy curls. She is friendly, professional, and truly a master with all types of hair and hair needs. The salon uses Davines products and it makes ALL the difference: after coloring, my hair smells really good (none of the toxic fumes that usually comes from colorant). I would recommend her salon wholly and completely. I also bring my boys to her and she has gained their trust and makes them look good. read more

Schuylar is the best! She listens to your wants and needs and does a fantastic job at fulfilling them. I was able to briefly explain what I was looking for with regard to my desired color and she executed it perfectly and in a short time frame. I'm used to having to sit for color for at least 4-5 hours. That sounds crazy but it's usually the case for me. Schuyler was able to talk with me prior to coloring my hair, mix the necessary product, blow dry/style my hair and still get all of that done in under 2 hours. Not only was the end result exactly what I had been hoping for, I walked out with soft, healthy hair (I'd say even healthier than before the highlights) and I'm receiving compliments daily regarding the color. Heritage salon is clean, modern with friendly staff and clients. I highly recommend Schuylar and this salon! read more

After getting a really bad haircut a few days ago from another location in AG. I thought I would review the one salon in arroyo grande I had a pleasant experience with. Several months ago i got a cut and color here which was very nice. I have dark brown hair that had been bleached several times and received a really beautiful light belayage done here with minimal damage. The girl who did my hair was really lovely and nice. It's hard to find a good reliable salon, but I would recommend this to anyone who was looking for a cut or color that won't destroy your hair. It's a little pricey for me to go here all the time, but definitely comparable to other salons in surrounding locations. And you won't be let down by the experience. read more

I took a big risk having my hair done in a new city (I'm from Seattle) at an unfamiliar salon with a hairdresser without a recommendation but it turned out great! Ruby gave me a partial foil and free bang trim and I love my new doo! And I'm very finicky about my blonde color; it can't be too dark, too porcelain, too solid, etc. Ruby listened to me and it turned out perfect! She is very talented! I just moved back to the central coast after being in Austin for the last 7 years, and I was nervous that it would take a while to find the perfect cut, but I found it here. I've been going to Martina for years and I just don't trust anyone else. She's taken me from box dyed black hair to grey/silver and now that I'm a red head she finds me the perfect shade of red every time. She truly is amazing with coloring and know matter what I ask for she comes up with the best results. When I got there, there was a mix up with my appointment and them having the wrong number and not being able to call me. I had an appointment for 3, which was really supposed to be 3:30, but they didn't see me till 3:45. I was kinda frustrated because I waited 45 minutes and coulda been doing something productive at home, BUT I didn't stress too much. I know it takes longer than expected sometimes to cut and color someone's hair. ANYWAY! Heather hooked me up! I love my hair. It definitely doesn't look like the picture I showed her, but I understand why. However, she did give me lighter/blonder hair which is what i wanted. The highlights she did gave me more depth.
