I will start by saying that Mia and her makeup artist partner Itzel made me look and feel beautiful on my wedding day! I got so many compliments. and my bridesmaids looked great too! I looked great in all of the pictures and the look lasted all night! Mia and Itzel were really nice to be around too and put me at ease. They even let me eat a grilled cheese sandwich while they were working on me. I have to admit, I was a little nervous because I ended up not being super happy with how I looked after the hair and makeup trial. Mia was nice enough to try several hair styles on me and I strongly disliked both of the updos she tried and I ended up saying we should just go with curls and half-up half down. I left thinking I was happy with the makeup but after wearing it around I realized it was much too heavy and harsh looking for me. My fiance also told me he didn't think I looked like myself and that he preferred a softer more natural look. Mia told me they would do another makeup trial on me but I would understandably have to pay for it and also said that we could also figure it out on the wedding day if I didn't want to do another trial. I decided to just wait until the wedding day to figure it out. I think it was really good that I did the trial because I had time to think about what I liked and didn't like especially since I am not used to wearing a lot of makeup, it was important to wear the look around to see how I felt. The day of my wedding I pulled up a picture of the exact hairstyle I wanted and had a more specific makeup look in mind so I could tell them exactly what I wanted. Mia and Itzel showed up exactly on time on my wedding day. I was pretty immediately satisfied with what she did with my hair on the day of the wedding. The makeup took some figuring out but Mia and Itzel were very patient with me. I ended up being really unhappy with the way she did my eyeliner at first, usually I do brown eyeliner since I have light skin but she only had black eyeliner. I thought it looked uneven and harsh and she spent some time fixing it but I ended up telling her I wanted to not do any eyeliner so she took it off and re-applied my eye makeup. I was probably a pain in the butt but they were so patient with me and stayed to make sure I was happy and looked beautiful and didn't make me feel bad for being very specific. I am really appreciative toward Mia and Itzel for putting me at ease and making me and my bridesmaids look beautiful for the wedding. I got so many compliments on the look and I am so in love with all of the pictures. They really did the makeup and hair well and it looked so good in the pictures and lasted all night! read more
