Extremely Disappointing Hair Extension Service I hate leaving negative reviews, but this experience warrants it. I paid over $1,000 for hair extensions, and the stylist cut them extremely uneven. My hair was curled before I left, which temporarily hid the damage but once I washed it a few days later, the poor, uneven cutting was obvious. I reached out to the salon owner with photos, expecting help or at least accountability. Instead, I was told the issue was "the way I took the pictures," which felt dismissive and unprofessional. The stylist then offered to "fix" the problem by cutting even more of the extensions -- meaning I would lose even more of the expensive hair I paid for. That was not an acceptable solution. I ended up having to pay another stylist elsewhere to try to correct the damage. For the cost and trust involved, this experience was extremely disappointing. I would strongly recommend doing your research and considering other options before booking here. read more

Do not come here. I came in for a touch up on blond highlights. I had never been in before but the reviews seemed promising. I was initially told the price was 180 and the website stated that highlights included the haircut. My service was done by Megan and the results were awful. Not only was i charged 40$ for the haircut that was supposed to be included (total now at 220$) but the finishing look was AWFUL! I have yellow/brassy streaks and about a half inch of dark roots the same day!! My hair looked like it was done by a cosmetology student! When i reached out, Megan was not helpful at all and only offered purple shampoo (which would not do much to help her awful job) and then when I got in contact with the owner, Katy, she was very rude and her only solution was for me to go back to Megan and give her another opportunity to butcher my hair! She refused to fix it herself and claimed she had video surveillance of me saying this was what i wanted !?! Awful customer service, wrongfully charged 40$ extra, Talentless work!!! If you value your appearance, time, and money DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!!! the fact that my hair looks like this for 220$ is insane! I could have done better at home! Very cute salon! Updated from top to bottom and a great atmosphere altogether! Came in for the first time to get a root touch up while in town for a couple weeks.. my stylist was Deanna and she was super friendly and made me feel comfortable.. she offered me a beverage or a snack which was very thoughtful! This is the best salon on the Central Coast. I moved here from Italy a few months ago. I'm from Milan where hairdressers are wonderful and we have very high standards being the Fashion Capital of Europe. I'm a perfectionist and I'm very happy with their nails (Desiree) and hair services. Katy creates the best highlights and is so attentive. The Salon is very attractive, immaculate, and the people there are very friendly. Katy is so skillful in the way she cuts and highlights my hair and she always has good suggestions for trying something new. I've been approached several times at CVS and Trader Joe's by women who say, "Gosh, I really like your hair; who's your stylist?" And I have referred 3 friends to Katy over the last several years, and they are all big fans of her as well. Even now, when I'm many weeks overdue for a haircut, my hair still looks good because of the great foundational cut and color Katy gave me several months ago. I visited a couple of different locations but when you spend hundreds of dollars a visit on something like your hair, you want the best. And let's face it: you also need someone who you can tolerate spending a couple of hours with talking to, as well! I was hesitant to write this review bc I don't want to share her! But fair is fair and I am giving back to my community by telling you about the amazing Dana at Salt and Stone. She does exactly what you want. Her expertise shows in her ability to listen and use her skills to recreate your words and illustrations. She is phenomenal at color- particularly balayage and is a magician with a pair of scissors. She is also kind and funny and one of the most likable and chill people you will ever meet. I have been a regular client now for a few visits and I consider myself extremely lucky to have found her. When Tutta Bella Salon opened it's doors in our area I couldn't believe my eyes... it was a salon like those I had enjoyed living in Newport Beach during my ten years away from the Central Coast. I gave that type of full service salon with spa-like atmosphere up when I decided to return -- and I frankly thought I wouldn't have a similar experience unless I returned to a more metropolitan area for services. The owner of Tutta Bella has truly learned from her years in the business, providing clients with friendly support staff, a beautiful space with attention to the atmosphere, and let's not forget the shampoo experts (those girls that actually massage your scalp and make your simple haircut like a little mini-spa treat). And yes, that is what sets this establishment apart -- the "extras" so to speak. However, you can't make a good salon great unless you have the experts to deliver the service. Monica Wilson has taken my oh-so-ordinary bob from so-so to super-cool with a razor-sharp trendy style. She also guided me through the minefields of flat irons and assisted me with the best products -- she's a product guru. I now have the BEST deep conditioner, hairspray and finishing cream. Then, when I wanted to change it all up and go super-long, she didn't bat an eyelash, and has helped me through what can be a painful growing out experience with a professional and manageable-looking long-layered cut that my husband loves. She is professional, with reminder calls and her prices seem perfect to me -- although I have the luxury of not needing color. Next let me say that Heather Porter absolutely rescued me when stress made my normally unblemished skin EXPLODE before several important conferences I was attending in February. She used this magical blemish zapper (call her, she will explain -- she's the skin expert) and provided me with a sample of the most amazing mask that I can apply when I feel a large blemish blossoming -- and like magic overnight it disappears! I have already purchased a gift certificate for an associate of mine and I look forward to a long relationship with Heather when my budget permits. Lastly, when my regular manicurist and I have a "scheduling conflict", Kim Killingsworth does a fantastic job and I can't even tell the difference. Plus she's friendly, smart and professional. If she used my product regularly I would be tempted to move my business! Not to mention she offers these amazing "mini pedicures" that she can fit into a half-hour -- making it a perfect lunch time option. In fact... I think I might book one of those soon! All-in-all, I can breathe a sigh of relief that at least one "big-city" perk that I gave up moving back to the sleepy Central Coast has materialized after all. I can't believe that I have been going to this salon for this many years, and I haven't given it a review yet! This review is specific though, for Rheka Denney, my stylist for almost 10 years, who I followed when she left The Bladerunner (which I also love). Rheka is a color miracle worker. I have NEVER been disappointed. She is professional, has raised her rate maybe once since I started going to her? (After a substantial cut in rate when she left the other salon) She has also done my 5 year old's hair her entire life, and takes such good care knowing Olivia wants to grow out her hair. She also did my husband's hair for years, although now that we are in LA, he has to go local. Me, however, I will travel to AG whenever possible to get my hair cut and colored- I'm pretty sure that I have gone every 6-8 weeks for all these years. Also - another plus, every time I have a special occasion, she does a fantastic blow dry and style for me. Makes it so easy on those hectic days. Love you Rheka! One note to the salon: There is a sign that says CLOSED mondays. Closed is in large print, and mondays in small, and it looks like the salon's closed sign is up- throws me for a loop EVERY TIME!! I am new to the area and looked first to Tutta Bella. Hannah was the stylist they chose for me. She was young and fairly new to the business but to my surprise gave me a great hair color and nice cut. I feel that $115.00 for color and cut was a bit much though. Fast forward 3 months and two other salons tried in the Five Cities area; Hannah did the best color and cut so far. None can compare to my Mitra in San Jose though, and she charged $85.00. read more

Great Cut and Blowout. I was visiting the area for a wedding and was originally looking for a blow-out salon, but since there were none in the area, I found Tutta Bella on Yelp and decided to add a light trim as well. I was given an appointment with Katie. I went in with straight hair and informed her my hair is naturally very curl. She gave me a consultation before and after the wash (wash was excellent, long and soothing). Very nice stylist and gave a nice blowout and cut! $50 for cut and blowout. read more

Everyone at Tutta Bella was nice and welcoming and I give them a 5 star for that. Unfortunately the person that I was assigned to when I first called because she is the only Aveda person there, doesn't understand blonde hair. I gave her 3 chances to get it right asking her to lift my roots on try 3 but she made them darker than my actual hair color. Even my partner commented on how bad it looked. I couldn't tell with the lighting in the salon, but when I got home the delineation between the highlights and the roots made it look awful. I wish I'd gone to a blonde who really knows blonde hair. I drove one hour each way so unfortunately I won't be going back. In fairness she did offer to fix it but for me 3 tries is all I can give especially with such a big drive. I'm sure she is great with brunettes and other dark or trendy colors. She changes her very dark hair color regularly to trendy colors. I need a professional look and I just didn't get it. I went to my old stylist in another state while visiting family and she fixed it in a jiff thank goodness. read more

This is for a phone call I made about an hour ago. I'm on Yelp and looked up massage (because I may be a massage therapist and Esthetician but I don't have people that Work on me and it's something I need to invest in) Self care. Ans I want to support my industry. and this place came up. Called and asked if they did facials AND massage. She said they do facials but it takes about two months to get in. I said "oh". She didn't offer to look up a future date, which would have been helpful. Instead she said "yah sorry" and hung up on me. So...I won't be trying them again for anything. Absolutely the worst customer service experience ever! I called several times to get an appointment and was told that they didn't have any available during one of the calls I was told that they were not taking new clients. After 5 attempts trying to book an appointment for a gift certificate that I received I requested to speak to the owner who called me back with an attitude. She stated that it's probably best we don't do business and offered a refund. She argued with me that I never called to make an appointment when I pointed out what her voicemail said during one of my calls in which I left a message and never received a call back she didn't know how to reply. Needless to say I will never do business when they are so rude to customers. When I went in to pick up the money I actually apologized for the certificate not working out however she gave me an attitude. read more
