Back on the islands again for business! Ms. Jenny Lin provided such great service to me on my last visit; therefore, I was really looking forward to purchasing more pieces from her. I emailed her wife's new wish list before my arrival. She obtained (from other stores if necessary), quality checked and held those pieces for me. Needless to say, everything was in order. In addition, she was able to hold one highly sought-after piece for additional few days while my wife settles on her decision. I am extremely pleased with the overall experience. I started to buy Hermes in the US since Feb this year and had horrible experience with the Palo Alto store, came to Hawaii hoping to finally turn my luck with Hermes cos I genuinely love this brand. We stayed in Ritz so I walked in Waikiki and met my angel SA Ellen Ye- she is the best SA I ever know: genuine, kind, authentic, honest, trustworthy -she is not snobbish , offer equally awesome service from big ticket $10K items to $55 small item. I had depression since the pandemic her positive vibe is so therapeutic , I can not help but find excuse to go to the Waikiki store literally every other day , even just chat with Ellen. because of the frequent visits I later knew their manager Lyn -equally nice and kind and warm lady, and i understand why the overall vibe is nice there because the culture is top down. I have had nothing but beautiful experiences in this boutique, and I can't say the same about the Ala Moana location. The sales associates here are so warm and welcoming. They go above and beyond to make their clients feel comfortable and heard. I especially enjoy Miya as she is kind, patient, and professional. She makes you feel at ease and takes her time to make sure you leave with what makes you happy. I love shopping with her as I never feel pressured to buy anything that I don't completely love. We have kept in touch and have built a wonderful relationship, and I have recently flown back to visit her. Hermes indeed wants clients that appreciate their brand beyond a Birkin or a Kelly through relationship building with their staff, and I can honestly say I met someone great through shopping here. Motohiko and Joy! They are my wonderful SA. Never pushy about anything. If u are Hermes lover, This location is it. Im originally from Beverly Hill Rodeo. I love my hometown SA too but waikiki has a n awesome buying manager so i feel like they have the right items for me. As far as service, I see alot of complaints but seriously, who wouldnt want to sell if u work there? If u want a good customer service, buy few things first and service will come along. Stop asking for birkin or kelly without shopping there ahead of time. There are so many tourists coming in and out. Most of them just look around and walk out. This place is heaven for Hermès lovers! My family and I were on vacation in Honolulu and we're huge Hermès fans. It was our first time being near a flagship store and we heard that it was reconstructed to 3 levels. So we had to check it out. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a sales associate named Motohiko Hirayu, and he was so incredibly nice and helpful. He helped my mom and I acquire a piece that we've been searching for the longest time. Since it was my family and I's first time visit to the store, he also gave us a tour throughout the entire 3 levels. This store is packed with a large selection of products. So it was great to look through items that weren't as readily available in my local store. But overall, this place is great due to its large selection and my kind sales associate Motohiko. I visited this Hermès boutique back in October/November after the renovation and I would say it was the best part of my trip to Hawaii!! The customer service I received from Elvin Chow was just excellent and exceptional! Elvin was knowledgenable, friendly, and patient during all the visits I had. He was able to find what I was looking for prior to my departure from Waikiki and I absolutely love my purchases. This store reminds me of that scene in Pretty Woman when Miss Vivian (J. Roberts) walks into a Beverly Hills boutique.... except without the attitude. So sad about the bad experiences that many shared in here! I can see why they are upset because some of the workers were not very welcoming. I just got lucky to have such a great sales guy and the sales lady that helped me check out. Kevin was very professional. He even called to say thank you for the purchase I made. They made sure we were taken care of and handed us some drinks while waiting. Many of the sales people can barely speak English but that is understandable because there are many Japanese and other foreigners that shop around this area. They were professional and was very polite to us so no complaints. And take note, tax is lower and my purchase was cheaper than buying in the mainland! I love Hermes and especially love it when the Canadian dollar is above par relative to the USD right now! Makes me feel (a little) less guilty for shopping here - LOL! I agree that the shop selection is tiny but the service is fine. I've been on the hunt for an ombre Kelly double tour or collier de chien but I hate buying from my local store because of the markups and high taxes. The Hermes gods have listened, and there is one in stock here! Super happy there was one in my size with the right color hardware. This is a beautiful Hermes store in the middle of the Waikiki Strip on Kalakaua. Two stories -- with ready-to-wear, shoes, handbags, ties, and accessories on the first floor; home and gifts on the second. As this is the flagship store on Oahu, I feel the store always has more selection and inventory than some of the other stores I have visited. One of the keys to shopping at one of these luxury stores is to stay loyal and always try to stay with the same salesperson. We have been coming here for awhile now and always work with Jenny. She is definitely very knowledgeable in the products and always provides a great experience. She knows our likes and dislikes, and will call or followup if we have any requests. We always leave with a smile on our faces. If you come to this store, definitely look for Jenny! This store is also very unique because of the area it is in. It's one of the only locations where I feel like I can take a dip in the ocean, towel off, throw on some shorts, and walk right in. I wouldn't call it casual but there's definitely an island mentality here. read more

I had a bad experience at the Waikiki location. I am a local and waited in line before the store opened. When the store opened, no client advisors were available for 30 minutes. It was unbearably hot. I have purchased from this store before and my first experience was fine. This time, my client advisor Lena was very condescending. I tried on shoes and asked if the size was correct. She said "I don't know, there is a mirror behind you." I asked one last time if I should have a little room at the heels and she said "whatever is comfortable for you." She would not make eye contact with me during the conversation and looked bored. I felt awful. When asked to leave she quickly opened the door and rushed me out. I was dressed professionally and simply asked for shoes. The Ala Moana location treats local clients much better. The wait is shorter (in the shade too) and parking is free. I will not return to this location. read more

After reading previous reviews I wasn't expecting exceptional customer service, however, as soon as I entered I was greeted by Miki a friendly SA who was only to happy to show me a variety of enamel bracelets. I appreciated that I didn't have to ask to try on a bracelet, when she saw that I was viewing the h bracelets she unlocked the cabinet right away, even though my mum and I were dressed in tidy yet casual outifts. Miki even opened up extra draws and went through cupboards of stock to find the colors I was interested in. While the staff at Ala Moana were friendly, they only showed me the limited stock displayed inside one cabinet. Miki was extremely polite and proffesional and even gave my mum and I some complimentary perfume samples and held the door open for us on the way out. Next time I visit Waikiki and Hermes I hope Miki is working, she made my first trip to Hermes such a memorable experience. Next on my list is a beautiful silk scarf. read more

I visited Hermès Waikiki for the first time yesterday, 26 March 2018. I had a wonderful experience with the SA named Xiaowu, who showed me the store's inventory of bag charms, enamel bracelets, and rose gold jewellery. The inventory is... like Christmas! Plentiful, with coveted items which are very hard to get in Europe. Xiaowu was warm, friendly, and genuine in trying to find the right thing for me. Two thumbs up for excellent service. I just window shop for cologne at Hermes. Hermes cologne typical costs over a hundred dollars. A one hundred dollar product at Hermes is the cheapest thing you find in that store. All of the other products are in the thousands of dollars. Back to the cologne I found Terre D'Hermes cologne very good. The Hermes stores sell Eau du par fume version. When you go shoping at discount retailers they sell the Eau du toilette version which is a lot weaker scent and in some cases can smell like old spice. read more

This store looks huge on the outside, but was a little smaller than I expected on the inside. The one sales lady that approached us was nice and helped me try on the different enamel bracelets. I'm glad that at least one of them approached us since we were in our bum beach gear. Anyway, I was surprised with their lack of color selections in their H enamel bracelet, but apparently they "sell out quick" and "don't get much in". I almost bought a bright orange scarf to celebrate the Giants playing in the World Series, but decided against it. :) read more

I can not write enough positive words about the outstanding service this boutique has to offer from the Sales Associate Manager Lulu. She is the one to go to if you are interested in sourcing any item on your wishlist. This is a hard time with travel being difficult and this boutique being on an island.... But they have been more than accommodating with getting your list of item to you and fulfilling your dream bags. I highly recommend Lulu because she's been with the company a long time, has great etiquette, makes you feel like a valued customer, is respectful, kind and sensitive to your time frame of your luxury items. She's also funny and down to earth and over all best all around. I will stick with her as long as I continue my love for the Hermes brand. Absolute worst experience I have ever had in a retail store of this caliber. When I entered the store someone did ask me if I needed assistance. I let them know I wanted to inquire about a Birkin bag. I have admired this bag for several years. After asking about the bag, I short Asian man wearing glasses with a somewhat stylish hairstyle proceeded to speak to me in a very insulting manner. He stated anyone that knew anything about the Birkin knew they could not just walk into the store to see one. He then went on to say I would need at least $20k and I would need to make $500k a year. Of course, after this comment I just left the store. The sad part was he had no idea that I could afford a Birkin and I could actually buy his $10 an hour want to be more than he actually is self. Sales people like him who form snap judgements based on the way a customer is dressed or their ethnicity will never get ahead. I read a few other reviews and I believe his name may be Dan. Whatever you do stay away from this store. After leaving the store, my family and I went to Luis Vuitton and Gucci stores. We made purchases in both. Funny thing is I actually wanted to spend MORE money in Hermes but thanks to the rude, arrogant and racist sales person I was able to save money. Don't go to this store!!!! read more

This is one of the worst (if not THE worst) store I have ever stepped foot in. I hope a member of management sees how bad the reviews are bc maybe they can actually get it through their hoity-toity snobbish selves to change how they treat their would-be customers! I wasn't dressed like a typical Waikiki tourist when I came in with my bf, his mother, and his mother's bf visiting from St. Louis. Weren't greeted but followed around the entire store by this Japanese SA. I was looking for a display of a Bourkin bag bc I'm really interested in purchasing one and wanted to check it out in person. I finally asked the SA trailing us if they had any in the store and she just looks at me with a blank, dumbfounded look on her face. I had to keep asking questions and basically answered them myself. She barely said a few words throughout the whole conversation. What a joke! We left the store without anything said from any of the workers standing around doing nothing.
