I was greeted by Kevin and Mark upon arrival and they did a splendid job helping me find the best chair that fit my potential cleaning needs with my pet, my preferred sitting style, current and future floor type. I was a bit intimidated by the options and customizability but they really took the time to sit me down and point out the pros and cons of each chair, fabric type, etc. They even made sure to check if I worked for certain companies so that I could reach out for a company discount! Overall, I ended up choosing the Embody gaming chair and was astounded by how comfortable and ergonomic the chair was. Herman Miller is such a big name in my industry and now I know why. Herman Miller has always been one of my favorite designers. Last November, I bought several pieces from their Santana Row store. The salesperson was friendly and professional, and we were happy with the service. While waiting for delivery, we made a few changes, and the salesperson stayed helpful throughout. The trouble started with the store manager. We bought during a sale, but our billing didn't reflect the discount. The manager said she'd look into it but didn't follow up, even after several calls and emails. We had to visit the store multiple times to finally get it resolved. She didn't seem interested in helping and made us feel like we were a bother. Out of frustration, we emailed Herman Miller's corporate office three times but never got a response. What started as an exciting purchase became a frustrating experience. The sales team was great, but poor management and lack of support from corporate were very disappointing. read more

I bought my first Herman Miller item at this location and couldn't have been happier with my experience here! I work at home and wanted to invest in an office chair for my longevity sitting in a chair and was interested in the Herman Miller chair as seen on social media. My family and I tried out a few chairs here to see which would be the best fit, and I ended up going with the Logitech Embody gaming chair with blue accents. It looks so clean on the back and is more cushy than the normal Embody chair, personally. They also had a Black Friday deal going on, so it was around 20% off. Marie was a great sales rep and very communicative during the process. The only downside was there was a technology mishap with the card reader, which made the transaction more difficult than it should have been. It took forever to pay. Marie was very communicative throughout the shipment process, and I got my chair in a couple of weeks. Good perk is that it comes already built so you don't have to worry and spend time building it. read more

look this is kinda a fancy brand LOL I studied lots of their furniture in school so I think I kinda came in here w respect(?) idk I felt kinda shy & I was trying not to show it ahaha there's always like three people here sitting separately fiddling on their laptops being hella quiet so I never know what's going on lol can't tell if they're working & the store is just overstaffed to prevent theft, or if they're just fancy office workers that come in to test chairs by actually working anyways I sat in a few chairs & one guy assisted me from his chair nearby; the other two people completely ignored my existence the whole time even if i was in their vicinity - if they were salespeople maybe they were trying not to scare me off? I also was dressed like a normal person & not dressed up or fancy or in office attire etc, & I have a babyface so tbh idk if they were Lowkey judging me inside bc they didn't think I could afford to shop there lol anyways everything here is expensive here bc duh ended up getting a remastered aeron from an office liquidation store for like less than half the price read more

It's been a year since my first purchase at this location and this year we came back to check out more chairs because we liked our first purchase and customer service by Lisa. I was sad to hear that Lisa was no longer working here anymore. Thomas was the one who helped us this time and the service was not bad, but I prefer Lisa as she was much more engaged and initiative during our interaction in the store. I bought the Cosmo and Aeron chair from Thomas. I bought the Cosmo for my family on November 22nd and contacted Thomas on November 26th via phone and email after seeing that they've change their promotion to a better deal. Thomas replied back on November 29th that his manager will adjust the difference the following week. Since they had a better deal after the initial purchase, I also bought the Aeron chair on November 27th. The Aeron chair had been shipped on December 1st and expected to arrive on December 7th. Today is December 4th and I haven't received any follow up from Thomas nor the store manager so I contacted customer service via the Herman Miller website. Julian from Herman Miller customer service line was awesome in explaining a rough estimate of how much longer it will take for the Cosmo chair to be made, shipped, and an estimated delivery time period. He explained that they make a lot more Aeron chairs whereas the Cosmo chair has a lot more options including colors so most likely they are waiting on parts to put the chair together before shipping. He said once shipped, I will be charged for the original price and then another email will be sent saying a refund of the difference has been initiated. Julian also told me he didn't see any notes in their system about my price adjustment request (he said usually the staff would leave notes) so he put one in. Thank you Julian for explaining the process, giving me a rough estimate of when things will happen, and putting in a note for the price adjustment. You're definitely paying a pretty penny for the chairs. The cost is no joke, but it's an investment in your comfort and health which is why I still decided to purchase from them. read more

If you want the worst service, emotional pain and stress, I recommend using this company. I bought a desk here and waited for 3 months with a generous heart, made a schedule, and waited, but on that day, they didn't deliver it without any contact, so I contacted both the purchase place and the delivery company directly, and they said that Herman had canceled the delivery, so I asked Herman to confirm the reason and resend it. I haven't heard any reason yet and the phone is not working either. This is a company that does not provide or process any of the services promised at the time of ordering. read more

We have 4 Sayl chair from at least 14 years ago. Marie from the store came up and helped me fix the adjustable arms even though they were well out of warranty. She drove up from San Jose to Palo Alto-thank you very, very much! Everyone always comments on how comfortable these chairs are -still rock solid, and I think look very new still! Employees were not helpful. To be honest, I went in there knowing which ones I wanted to try. I was politely greeted by a young female. When I was trying the Aeron, a young guy warned me that it might break. I was shocked and said "these are suppose to be sturdy right?". I was initially debating between Herman Miller and Steel Case but im very happy that I decided to buy an Herman miller I the end. I must have visited this store 3-4 times just trying out the chairs and all the representatives were very kind each time I returned. I've had Sooyoung and Lisa guide me to which chair would be the mist suitable to my body type and and the environment I would be using the chair in. Their responses via email are very fast and I never felt like I was left hanging. That said, I love my new Embody Gaming Chair! It supports all the right curves of my body and I've never felt so relaxed and comfortable in a chair. I visited this store based on a recommendation from colleagues. My experience left me with a bad taste. When my husband and I walked in the store both associates said hello, but did not move from their chairs. As my husband and I tried out chairs we were not offered any assistance. Then, two young ladies, of a different race, walked into the shop. They were immediately greeted and approached by the associate and asked what they could help with and if they needed anything. I was horrified that we did not receive the same treatment. So, we left, a long with our intention to purchase from the brand now or in the future. I came into the store on Saturday, 12/4/2021 and this was my experience. When I came into the store it was at 10am, I was surprised to see there was already one other customer in the store. But the manager Didem was very quick to assist ( I was in the store a total of 30 seconds? before she came to help me out ). I was deciding between Aeron vs Embody as a friend recommended Embody but Aeron was very popular (according to google) so I had a lot of questions to ask Didem. She was super patient! Not only did she took the time to make sure to explain every aspect of the Aeron, she also explained why I would be a C instead of a B ( I am under 5'10 but have a longer upper torso). She also went back and forth between me and the other customer to make sure if he had any questions, they were properly answered. I further appreciated her flexibility in providing me multiple quotes so I can pick the one that fits my budget and needs the most. When I left the store, around 10:30 ish, the store was already pretty crowded with around 10+ customers in store and other associates juggling multiple customer as well. My advise? Come early. Also due to Covid there is a delay in supply so you will definitely want to make the purchase sooner than later as it takes some time to ship over. read more

So i decided to go and try them out myself. As i went into the store i asked for her. She showed me different chairs and the functions of each one.
