My first and only experience with Herman could have been better. At first Herman was very responsive to texts and calls, but after my zero-turn mower servicing, Herman noted a small part he called a "duck bill" needed replacing. He said he would return with the part the next day as he would be in the area. I tried for 2 months to connect with him with calls and texts. He never replied to the texts except for the final one where I told him I would get the part on my own and I was disappointed in his followup. Then he called and made it out like he'd never heard of my attempts to reach him. I know he is busy with work, but no one is that busy to be able to miss 2 months of texts and calls. read more

We are return customers for Herman. For the second service, he said he could fix our mower but let us know that we would run into the issue again and again. He offered to sell us a zero-turn that he had fixed and took the $200 that we had already paid off the final price. Great right? No, we ran three times then it went out. After contacting Herman, it took time and time again for us to contact him to come take a look. He finally did and said he would drop another engine on it. This was in October. We were consistently reaching out via Thumbtack and text messaging to schedule a time for him to fix the issue. I had sent a message stating that since it was winter and close to the holidays, we could hold off until it warmed up. HE replied stating he would reach out at the first of the year. On Feb 28, we sent a message, no response. I text the week before March 12, no response. I called and he said he would be out the week of March 12 to do it. Didn't come and made no contact. My husband reached out a week later, he said he was in Florida and he would have a friend come do it. No one showed up or called. We are now at March 30 with other messages sent, and still no contact. We trusted him as a return customer, and now we are out $900 (outside the $200 we already paid for repairs) and a mower that does not work. read more

My John Deere D105 mower wouldn't start and I had already replaced the battery. I called Herman's Repair because he would come to me. He came out and quickly fixed the problem with the mower starting and then I asked him about replacing the cutting deck. He replaced the blades which were bent and straightened the deck without replacing it. The work he did was excellent and a fraction of what I expected to pay because he fixed things and didn't just replace expensive parts. read more
