Petifours to die for! The dark chocolate melts in your mouth !!

Stopped in again for my usual petit four treats. Every time in nashville I have to make a stop to hermitage bakery. They're the best. Sweet strawberry is my favorite but the deep dark chocolate and smooth creamy vanilla are close seconds. My only problem is which to eat first.

Chocolate chocolate bon bons. Over 2 weeks and no mold... also took it apart and found a good amount of hair in it!

I've had an issue with a birthday cake from here before, but other than that, nothing much to ever complain about. But today got a couple of bon bons and a couple other things and it's so incredibly dry that I don't think milk would even fix it.... cake products here seem to almost always be pretty moist, but today got two different ones and they are dry as a bone!!! Utterly huge disappointment. I already know they don't make their icing in house but now I'm starting to wonder about other things. Just wanted to treat myself and daughter a very special treat and is just nothing near that. :-( Also, keep in mind that the icing they use in the bon bons and who knows what else is the kind you typically only expect in cream filled donuts. It's heavy. Also, as far as service, it is mixed. I do like a woman who works there, she went to high school with my mother. I'm not sure who the other one was/ if she was the owner or just another employee, but was really rude and short, didn't really want to help or seem to want to help. Her attitude that day is what stops me from going back in myself. And the hair in the icing really doesn't help either.

We stopped in & bought a couple boxes of cookies, cupcakes & other goodies to take home to our family; nothing lasted long. Everything was out of this world delicious and memorable! However, the gal who works there could use a class on friendly service 101.

    This is what we got...

I ordered a 1/2 sheet cake for my husband's military retirement ceremony. My order was placed weeks in advance. I was very specific, explained exactly what was wanted, sent photos, AND called back just to double check and make sure they were able to do it like the photos. They assured me it would be done like photos. Needless to say, when I picked up the cake it was nothing like what was ordered. I ordered a tropical beach themed cake with a small Air Force wings symbol in the corner. The cake I got had no tropical anything. It was a plainly iced white cake with blue border and Air Force wings in right corner. It wasn't even close to my order. Very disappointing to say the least! However, we needed a cake for the 50-60 guests coming to the ceremony. So, we took it. The only reason I am leaving a 2 star review is because the lady was nice and tried to add what she could (red icing and flag rings) to make it look better even though it wasn't what was ordered. Also, she gave us a $22 discount. However, if you are wanting a custom cake with icing and design or anything other than basic icing or a printed image, I would not recommend ordering from Hermitage Bakery. Luckily, we were able to make it work, but we settled for less than we wanted due to not having enough time to go somewhere else. I will not order a cake from here again. The pictures below show what we ordered vs what we got.

I've been to this bakery a few times over the last 3 or 4 years and I've never been blown away by the customer service. No one has been rude necessarily, but no one has just really impressed me. In fact, when I attempted to place a cupcake order for a baby shower a few years ago they seemed annoyed that I wanted to drop off specific baking cups for them to be baked in. Another time I attempted to place a cupcake order for a wedding shower and they were pretty blunt in telling me that they can't do dark red frosting because it wouldn't taste good. However, they didn't bother to offer any alternatives. I ended up placing the order with Publix because they explained they could "airbrush" the dark red color without affecting the taste. On a brighter note, the items I have purchased from Hermitage Bakery have always tasted good. No problem with the quality. On my last visit I purchased some red and pink heart shaped butter cookies for Valentine's Day and they were very yummy. I like that they have individual items for sale but also have some pre-packaged goodies available as well. Their petit fours and bon-bons are huge and look delicious. I can't wait to try one. On my last visit I saw a section for breads and such but there was no item's there so I dunno.......They have "Happy Hour" M-Th from 3-6pm with different treats at a special price. Happy hour does not apply on holidays. I'm sure I'll be back when a sugar craving hits, I just wish their friendliness was up to par with their sweets.

Worst bakery in the greater nashville area. Dry and horrific design. I would rather eat a piece of cardboard than one of their cakes.

They have limited seating and not many areas to plug in devices. I'd suggest coming with a full battery prior to diving into work. I had a lemon blueberry muffin and the Son of a Nutcracker drink. The coffee was delectable the notes of burnt vanilla and lemon surprisingly blended well! I downed it in a few short minutes. It paired well with the lemon blueberry muffin which was moist and delicious.

The space is a little narrow but gorgeous, with lots of nice natural-feeling light and an open and airy feel. You can see into the bakery and there's a nice display with all the available pastries. Cute merchandise adorns a few racks and shelves (it took a lot of self control to not buy a sweatshirt!). The way the line works conflicts a little bit with the entrance but it moved quickly enough to not be a problem. We got a tahini brownie, an espresso chocolate chip cookie, and a coconut and orange scone. Of course, they also sell beautiful breads and some small meal options like paninis and granola bowls. It all looked delightful. Service was very pleasant and patient. The lady in line ahead of me wasn't being very kind to the workers and speaking to them in a very demanding tone, and they handled her with grace and professionalism. They were also working cohesively as a team to ensure quick service. All our treats were yummy. My surprise favorite was probably the coconut and orange scone. The glaze on top was sweet and pleasantly crackle-y and the flavors were balanced and paired perfectly together. The espresso cookie was also balanced and super yummy; espresso and chocolate go together for a reason! The tahini brownie was fun to try and wildly gooey/rich as promised by the addition of the tahini, almost too much so for my preferences. It is SO fudgy, lol. Definitely very pleased with the whole experience. Give them a try if you're nearby!

There's a small parking lot and also a drive through. I headed inside just so I could get a vibe for the place. It was around 10:30 on a Saturday morning and it was packed but the line was moving efficiently. There are a few tables and seating areas that look comfy and many people were enjoying attractive brunch plates in addition to coffee. Service was friendly and patient and everyone was working hard as a cohesive team. None of their seasonal specialty drinks were really calling my name, so I settled on an iced cinnamon dolce latte. I saw on their Instagram they had a Thai coconut mango sticky Rice Krispie treat on special and that had ME written all over it, so I was thrilled when I managed to snag one of those. My drink came out quickly and I was on my way! My latte was tasty. Not too sweet, balanced, and smooth. It was a scoche heavy on milk imo but I definitely enjoyed it overall. The cinnamon flavor was lovely. The Thai coconut mango sticky Rice Krispie treat was super yummy and such a unique and cool idea! A little more coconut flavor would've taken it to heavenly heights, but the mango bits were in there at a perfect ratio and added some great texture. Would happily eat this again! Definitely a sweet and inventive local spot with a super wholesome vibe. I'd return in the future next time I'm nearby in Nashville!

From the mid-1970s to the summer of 2023, this property hosted a deplorable Krystal, a Nashville expansion project from a Chattanooga-based chain in which I had no interest. But on July 19, 2025, Tim Hortons officially debuted the state of Tennessee's first location here (after a soft opening on July 1). And with that, they converted the old Krystal building from an irrelevant and dated restaurant to a bright and shiny destination for Tim Hortons fans! And now, I can get my Canadian donut fix anytime I want! Being Tennessee's first isn't the store's only accolade. It's the only Tim Hortons within the Nashville city limits, one of four in the Nashville metro all lying in close proximity in the eastern suburbs. And greatest of all, it's the only Tim Hortons in the first 1,648 miles (70%) of eastbound Highway 70, one of America's longest roads connecting Arizona to the Atlantic Ocean. That makes it the westernmost Tim Hortons on all of Highway 70! And naturally, the Canadian maple donut is stupendous at this location. All the donuts are delicious, and the service is pretty good (depending on which employees are working). The door handles have hockey sticks, and the signpost out front is topped with a Canadian maple leaf. A mural inside pays tribute to one of the greatest NHL players who founded the company, the late Tim Horton (1930-1974). We're blessed to have Canada's largest fast-food franchise and the world's 25th largest with 6,000+ worldwide locations! It's a nice alternative to the other donut shop chains.
