I lived in Donelson in the 1990s and made frequent trips to Canada. But I never imagined decades later that my favorite Canadian coffee-shop chain would open an outlet in the heart of Donelson! From the mid-1970s to the summer of 2023, this property hosted a deplorable Krystal, a Nashville expansion project from a Chattanooga-based chain in which I had no interest. But on July 19, 2025, Tim Hortons officially debuted the state of Tennessee's first location here (after a soft opening on July 1). And with that, they converted the old Krystal building from an irrelevant and dated restaurant to a bright and shiny destination for Tim Hortons fans! And now, I can get my Canadian donut fix anytime I want! Being Tennessee's first isn't the store's only accolade. It's the only Tim Hortons within the Nashville city limits, one of four in the Nashville metro all lying in close proximity in the eastern suburbs. And greatest of all, it's the only Tim Hortons in the first 1,648 miles (70%) of eastbound Highway 70, one of America's longest roads connecting Arizona to the Atlantic Ocean. That makes it the westernmost Tim Hortons on all of Highway 70! And naturally, the Canadian maple donut is stupendous at this location. All the donuts are delicious, and the service is pretty good (depending on which employees are working). The door handles have hockey sticks, and the signpost out front is topped with a Canadian maple leaf. A mural inside pays tribute to one of the greatest NHL players who founded the company, the late Tim Horton (1930-1974). We're blessed to have Canada's largest fast-food franchise and the world's 25th largest with 6,000+ worldwide locations! It's a nice alternative to the other donut shop chains. read more

Definitely a great breakfast place. It's a chain and it's not local but, does a local own it? Just bring this up because Caliber coffee is next door. This is cheap and good and I can't say the same about price for caliber. But to now the highlights and the shadows of Tim Hortons: Clean and spacious dining area. The bell needs to be moved to the back where the employees are and not right by the doors and "beep bleem" every time a customer walks in. Staff is friendly and helpful. They have a good selection of sweets and savory treats to choose from. Coffee is good but be careful. It's really HOT. I got the breakfast burrito and made it a combo. They have the option to make your sandwich a combo for $2.10 extra. It was good and it came with a salsa, good but I didn't need it. The burrito was good without it too. Bathroom is clean but only one. They seem to get busy inside but nothing overwhelming. Their drive-thru is busy but seems to move fast. Overall I am happy I stop by and checked it out. Definitely a place I can come by and work and get food. Come check them out! read more

It's wonderful to have a Tim Hortons in Nashville! This is a great place for donuts and coffee! This store opened July 1, 2025 and it is super clean with lots of indoor seating. It also has its own parking lot and a Drive Thru. Their donuts are really good and 6 donuts cost $7.99. I recommend the Honey Crullers and the Blueberry Sour Cream Donuts. So good! They had a lot of staff members working today and the lady at the register was super friendly. I highly recommend this Tim Hortons! read more

After hearing about the famed Timmy's, we decided to skip a healthy breakfast and head here for diabetes. Although not vast, the selection is adequate. These aren't overly oily but they are fairly bready. I would say the blueberry sour cream is probably the best one. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. read more

This is very easy to find. Just look for the red maple leaf with "Tim's". There is plenty of parking across a traffic lane. There is also handicapped parking adjacent to building. Inside, the place is clean and bright. The donut case is easily visible with the available items. I arrived about noon so the selection was less than would be expected early in the morning. Still, there were several items which made the trip with me. The regular glazed has a different flavor than if you are used to other chain donut shops. It seems more "full". The chocolate did not seem to have an intense chocolate flavor but was very passable. Overall, these donuts were good and worth another stop. read more

Straightforward coffee and donut shop. Boston cream donut is a home run. Everything else tastes of a faraway commissary. I love the history of Tim's and the look and feel of the room, but the day-old donuts and service that ranges from indifferent to mildly pleasant has me at just ok. Coffee and service better down the street at Caliber. Donuts and service better across the street at Shipley's. I really wanted to love this location, but so far I don't. read more

Absolute trash. The drinks were basic, the donuts were okay (shipleys across the street are MUCH better). Also, they do NOT honor their own offers on their app. Went to use a free drink coupon and none of their workers could figure it out. It was a complete and utter s***show. Yes we ended up paying full price because of their lack of competence. Never again man. I'll stop all my healthcare peeps from making the mistake i did today in choosing Tim Horntons. Food is always fresh and good every time we come. Great service and gets people in and out in minutes! Great vibe to the restaurant with the lofi music and modern interior. My favorite is the bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich on a bagel. Great place! 6 stars!!! read more

Do not argue when a customer states that items are missing. Items have been omitted from my last 3 visits. And follow directions: "no whipped topping" is simply skipping a step: I understand mistakes, but don't get angry when you have to do your job and remake it. I feel like the soft opening (in spite of the bug crawling on the seat inside) got my hopes up for a great establishment--I'm disappointed. read more

Clean store and super-friendly staff. The original coffee is good--better than some other local breakfast places. My Boston Crème donut had no filling, so that was disappointing. Someone must have forgot an important step this morning. Unfortunately I had a to-go order, so Tim's had no chance to make that right. It was a good donut though. read more

I pulled in and by some luck I was the only car in line for drive thru. I ordered the egg soufflé, a breakfast croissant, a small matcha latte, and the assorted tidbits (do nut holes) and was out the door at under $20. You can NOT beat those prices.
