You'd be hard pressed to not think that the Flat Tire Diner has been around for 50 years with the vibe it was putting out. It had energy of a long standing family establishment but has been around for 6ish years! They've done something right with hiring amazing welcoming staff to filling the menu with amazing diner esq grub! Hands down the crunch French toast is a must order that crispy hard exterior of corn flakes and the soft interior is the perfect balance and this will be the only French toast I'll ever order!! The fresh made bread and pastry onsite is also a welcoming addition, if I was local this is where I'd get my sliced loafs weekly!

Here's a fun, comical review you can drop straight into Yelp or Facebook Flat Tire Diner First time at Flat Tire Diner, and let me tell you--we rolled in hungry and rolled out happy (with all tires intact). We went classic breakfast mode and were not disappointed. The two-egg breakfast with fried eggs, bacon, hash browns, and white toast was simple, comforting, and packed with flavor. Add in a sausage bagelwich that absolutely understood the assignment, and we were officially on board. No frills, just good, honest diner food that tastes like it was made with purpose. But the real MVP moment? Sitting up front by the door... in winter... where the door opens and closes approximately every 7 seconds. Just when I thought I might need to order hot coffee intravenously, the host kindly shared her little personal heater with me to keep the chill off. That level of hospitality deserves its own Michelin star--or at least an extra strip of bacon. Warm food, warm hearts, and one very heroic space heater. We'll definitely be back--next time possibly bringing a scarf, just in case.

It was absolutely fantastic, with the strawberry's and bananas! Omg!! So good!! Anyway, this place is great , ambience was good, packed but now loud! Service was excellent! The bartender at our hotel recommended this place. Well done, sir! Staff were quite friendly and answered our questions. They smoke their own pastrami. The fries are real potatoes. The onion rings are fantastic. The portions are just right. Absolutely recommend.

Top: Bacon, ham, egg, & cheese wrap with gag browns. Bottom: Everything skillet with cinnamon raisin toast.

OMG! This was my 2nd time at the Flat Tire. The 1st time was great & this time was even better. Momma had a bacon, ham, egg, & cheese wrap with hash browns and I had the everything skillet with cinnamon toast. Delicious all the way around! The only thing better was the service! Kendall welcomed us & even spent time conversing with us. I must say this is the best experience we have had anywhere in ages! We will definitely be back!

Can you say pork chops and eggs, but with a twist, and at a diner in a strip mall? I was not expecting to get the brunch/launch experience that I did, but I am so glad we tried this place out. From the outside, you would never think that you're going to get such a great experience inside. They've got a full service bakery as well. We will definitely come back and bring the little ones for treats next time. Great service, great ambience!

Classic breakfast food executed perfectly. The chicken fried steak is the best in the area. It is fresh and not frozen. Baked items are fresh and delicious.

Love this old school diner! Food was great, very comforting. Even there was a bit of a wait on Sunday, we did it wait that long to get our food.

Sunday morning, we popped in for a last minute breakfast and were readily seated for a table of 2. The service was prompt and super sweet. They had a very large menu which offered a variety of dietary accommodations. I ordered pancakes and a crab cake which both were great/large/tasty portions. Our coffee cup was never less than half full! Looking around the diner, they have very endearing decor, all staff were smiling and working hard. There didn't appear to be any grumpy or underserved tables (even in the midst of a Sunday morning rush). Local great spot - highly recommend for an easy, delicious, and financially sound meal. We look forward to coming back.

Chicken fried steak. Eggs were cooked perfectly!

Great food. Biscuits and gravy were delicious. Eggs were cooked perfectly, over medium. Fast service.

    Veggie omelette with hash browns

The 2-egg veggie omelette was excellent! Hash browns were very tasty, as well! My friend had Eggs Benedict and enjoyed it! Our server was very attentive and kept our coffee cups topped off! It has a true diner vibe!

They have a small selection of pastries, cakes and Artisan breads. We chose to share a Butter Croissant, Cinnamon Sugar Coffee Cake and Apricot Sesame Seed Cooie. For our drinks -- Americano for me and an Iced Matcha Latte for my daughter. The baked items were wonderfully fresh and tasty. The croissant was the favorite -- so buttery, tender and flaky. I found the Americano too watery, but the daughter really liked the Matcha Latte. It's a cozy environment with comfortable seating inside and at the outdoor patio. The open kitchen concept is nice. Friendly people. Prices are very reasonable. Free parking in the small plaza.

I can NEVER turn…read moredown a pastry, so I talked my husband into stopping by here to get some goodies before we began our drive home. I'm so glad we did! The space is a little narrow but gorgeous, with lots of nice natural-feeling light and an open and airy feel. You can see into the bakery and there's a nice display with all the available pastries. Cute merchandise adorns a few racks and shelves (it took a lot of self control to not buy a sweatshirt!). The way the line works conflicts a little bit with the entrance but it moved quickly enough to not be a problem. We got a tahini brownie, an espresso chocolate chip cookie, and a coconut and orange scone. Of course, they also sell beautiful breads and some small meal options like paninis and granola bowls. It all looked delightful. Service was very pleasant and patient. The lady in line ahead of me wasn't being very kind to the workers and speaking to them in a very demanding tone, and they handled her with grace and professionalism. They were also working cohesively as a team to ensure quick service. All our treats were yummy. My surprise favorite was probably the coconut and orange scone. The glaze on top was sweet and pleasantly crackle-y and the flavors were balanced and paired perfectly together. The espresso cookie was also balanced and super yummy; espresso and chocolate go together for a reason! The tahini brownie was fun to try and wildly gooey/rich as promised by the addition of the tahini, almost too much so for my preferences. It is SO fudgy, lol. Definitely very pleased with the whole experience. Give them a try if you're nearby!

From the mid-1970s to the summer of 2023, this property hosted a deplorable Krystal, a Nashville expansion project from a Chattanooga-based chain in which I had no interest. But on July 19, 2025, Tim Hortons officially debuted the state of Tennessee's first location here (after a soft opening on July 1). And with that, they converted the old Krystal building from an irrelevant and dated restaurant to a bright and shiny destination for Tim Hortons fans! And now, I can get my Canadian donut fix anytime I want! Being Tennessee's first isn't the store's only accolade. It's the only Tim Hortons within the Nashville city limits, one of four in the Nashville metro all lying in close proximity in the eastern suburbs.
