She said very little about what she was doing or why, and she demanded actions from me--such as taking my blood sugar with my own tester and eating a small apple sauce--without providing any explanation. Anyone seeking new teeth should be aware that as long as she retains this attitude, I cannot recommend this place. I am a calm person and understood she was doing her job, but most patients are scared and need compassion and clear guidance. Paying such a high price for a dental assistant to be rude is simply unacceptable. One of the main reasons I chose Clear Choice was to have a better experience, but this Med Assistant's behavior made that impossible. I hate to write this because nearly everyone else was kind, respectful, and empathetic. It's disappointing that one person's attitude overshadowed the professionalism of Dr. Olsen and Dr. McClornan, who were very kind. It only takes one negative encounter to spoil the entire day. I will return in a few weeks for my follow-up and we will see if things are better. Hopefully someone hs a tlk with her about customer service, and once you upset someone or are rude to someone, it is very hard to get them to trust you. I left a message Thursday evening. I got a call back first thing Friday morning and was able to be seen that day. Dr. Eck and his team made me feel comfortable and not shamed for my lack of dental care over the years. (Strahler was the previous owner, and before that, Penshorn to clear up confusion in how it may be listed on Google, and Dr. Penshorn still works there ). They assisted me through the process of applying for Care Credit and Alphaeon so I could pay for my services, emailing the links to make it quick and easy. I chose to get a full set of x-rays done (but I had the option to do a limited exam for only my problem tooth if I preferred or had limited funds). I'll be coming back in one week to get my temporary crown & deep cleaning, and 4 weeks later I'll get my permanent crown, which is porcelain, not silver, so I can still have a confident smile. They are all very personable, friendly, welcoming, and real. Every person. I have complete confidence in this team and the dentist to give me the best care. The office is clean and inviting. They offer complimentary products to brush your teeth in the lobby bathroom before your appointment (if you so wish) so you don't feel embarrassed coming in after lunch.
