What a pleasant surprise!!! Honestly, some brunch places are meh for me, but this one was…read moresurprisingly super nice! (I guess I shouldn't be surprised, bc it's in a bougie neighborhood where I witnessed a Rolls-Royce in the grocery store parking lot...) but this place was elevated and beautiful, with reasonable prices! I came with 3 gal pals after a challenging morning hike, and we were seated in a cute outdoor patio. Our server was attentive and the service was also pretty efficient. This place is attached to a grab-and-go bakery next door, so they have great coffees, teas, and pastries (in addition to the brunch offerings). I ordered a London Fog. Unfortunately, I got a big pot of black tea instead. But I'm not even mad because it was very nice! (Especially mixed with milk). For brunch, I got the Cañada Breakfast with scrambled eggs, sausage links, and a side salad. Honestly, everything was delicious! And well portioned! I stole bites of my friends' chicken and waffles and french toast: AWESOME! The chicken is super moist! The french toast is legit fluffy. No notes. Beautiful presentation, location, and doesn't break the bank! If you want an elevated brunch in a nice, picturesque neighborhood with a million bikers, this is your spot!!! Check out the garden/furniture store across the locale too--very cute gift finds in there! Total for 3 brunches (including tax but not tip) was $115.07.

It's nice that they have both sweet and savory options. It's one of those places where the staff members know your name and remember your birthday. The space itself is beautiful and clean. Definitely picture worthy. The only downfall is there is very limited seating inside and outside. I would for sure go again and recommend to friends!

Wow, all stunning and delicious pastries! And the sweetest interaction. I found Onki at the Redwood…read moreCity Farmers Market on Saturday mornings and was lucky there were any pastries left. Most of the time, they are sold out by 9:30am. Check out their Instagram for real time updates! You can find their pastries at other local cafes. Almond Croissant (5/5) - I'm looking for a favorite almond croissant in the Bay Area and this is currently the top one! Kouign Amann (5/5) Lemon Madeline (4/5) Chocolate Croissant (4/5) I really want to try the cute animal shaped (or normal cube shaped) milk bread and try the seasonal Kouign Amann flavors so I will be back!

The baker is…read moredefinitely dedicated to their craft and even avoids placing the finishing touches on some of their items until the customer orders it (This happened with our matcha Kouign-amann). We purchased the black sesame crossiant, which had a nice flaky texture and nuttiness. It also included chocolate as part of the inner layer of the crossiant, so it was partially a black sesame and chocolate crossiant mashup. The outside was topped with a black sesame and cream cheese-like frosting -- I could have had a little less of the cream cheese flavor (generally not a fan of cream cheese), but did enjoy it. If you want to enjoy any of the crossiants at this pop-up, get there early. We arrived only 15 min after their opening and was online for 1/2 hour and almost missed the black sesame and also missed a few of the other pastries already. It seemed like this popup had frequent visitors and that they tended to order in bulk, with each customer ordering multiple boxes of pastries even for a small group. We saw about 15 minutes after we left they were already sold out, so even arriving after the 1/2 hour mark may be too late to enjoy any of these pastries. There were a lot of options for fans of sweet pastries, but no savories at this one. I'll watch to see if the menu expands and maybe go again for the black sesame and a few other options in the future.

I've never anything like this and it was so delicious! It wasn't heavy or overly sweet. You can definitely taste the rose and they didn't go cheap with the pistachios either! There were pistachios in each bite. The cake was moist and light/fluffy. Baklavas are to die for here!! I love all the different pastries they had. They had everything from cookies, baklavas, and cakes! It makes such a nice gift! I had them make me a box for my doctor's office which they handpicked all dozen treats. It all looks sooooo good! The staff were so nice and helpful! The guy took the time to explain the pastries and even recommended the popular pastries. They know their menu so well! You can also get a whole cakes here if you wanted! My husband like the latte here as well! Very smooth! Ambiance is nice! Pretty spacious and very nicely maintained especially being its location in middle of their downtown area! Thanks for having such awesome staff and providing amazing customer service! Wish we had this in Vegas!

Perhaps a bit on the fancier side, but it's a pleasant place to go for some coffee and a dessert. All of the desserts are beautiful and imaginative spins on classics with a middle eastern twist. Baklava Cheesecake: Such a pretty little packet. This is a bit contradictory, but the cream cheese filling is a little too sweet and dense and the outside should be a little more sweet, perhaps with syrup like on a traditional baklava. I missed that stickiness and moisture on the flaky exterior. But overall, it was fun to eat. Sweet Cheese Rolls: These were pretty good and quite creamy inside. Halawet el jibn is traditionally served with pistachio and rose syrup. These are hard to come by in the Bay and kind of expensive here, but tasty.
