Always a great spot to grab lunch. There's always an assortment of delicious donuts to select from and the super crunch chicken sandwich makes for a great lunch. The service is usually pretty quick and every dish I've had has been served up pretty hot.

    What I got Apple fritter

This is a case of expectations versus reality. Social media the apple fritter looks absolutely stunning. Chunky, well fried, nice apple pieces, everything you would look for. But when you go in that's not what you get. Well that's not what I got. I got a flat, mushy, under fried, soggy, apple less, grease cake. I tried to reach out directly to discuss maybe a bad day or had a new guy on the fritters but no response. So I'd have to say poor food, poor service, abut the space itself is decent. Small but sufficient.

Burger With Pistachio doughnut and Cold Brew. A quintessential night shift breakfast. Hero makes a tremendous burger and doughnuts. The service was great. The burger is super juicy and flavorful. The Doughnut selection is very diverse. Such a great establishment. I'll be back. You're welcome!!

After a day of torn, good donut spot here in Atlanta. I landed here at hero donuts, and let me tell you for cake donuts but I was thoroughly surprise. Best cake donuts spot in the city, but it was not the best thing on the menu the little chicken tenders, proved to be the winner today..

I've visited this place on several occasions. I love its addition to Summerhill and the variety. We've tried most of the donuts! Loved every one of them, but am a lover of the peanut butter!! My go to lunch order is the chicken sandwich. I usually just get the black coffee, and they even have carafes if you are wanting to get coffee for up to 10 people! It comes with cups and stirrers, etc. The location is great and as of now there is ample free parking across the street! They have both indoor and outdoor seating. The vibe is casual and they are usually quick with your order..although it isn't fast food. The bread is always baked fresh and is amazing!!! I take my family here from our of town as the price is decent but still on the pricey side compared to chains! Go check this place out!

Burt retaliatory chicken!! Terrible customer service!!

Hello!! So Resturant was slightly friendly. Ordered a Americano. Got a cup of flavored water. Went and asked for regular coffee, guy at front apologized and remade coffee! Great right! "NO", we also order mini's (chicken). The chicken was burned and hard the buns was extremely burnt!! These people are retaliatory!! Do not no what customer service looks like... bunch of immature children running the place.

Got to try Hero Doughnuts and Buns located near the Trilith Studios! When first entering, I enjoyed the retro style interior design. I came with a large group and the staff was very accommodating and had a great attitude! We decided to try an assortment of donuts and I selected the hash brown platter with chicken added. They had fun donut flavors and I had a chance to try the tiramisu donut which was pretty good. I appreciate that it wasn't too overwhelmingly sweet, and the cream filled inside helped balance the icing on top. I also enjoyed the hash brown platter as each hashbrown "cube" was perfectly crispy on the outside and soft in the inside. The egg was cooked perfectly, and I opted to have chicken with this dish. I think if you are looking for a cute and fun place to have breakfast, Hero is your place! They also have other items if you are craving more lunch items than breakfast.

A ton of delicious donut shops are popping up in Atlanta but Hero is definitely my HERO. When Hero moved into Summerhill, I was skeptical about a donut chain coming into Atlanta - and boy was I wrong. I love a soft brioche donut and Hero Doughnuts are definitely soft and fluffy. Grab a kolache (jalapeño is my fave!) or a homewood donut (strawberries and creme is a classic combo). Parking is available in the back and on the street, but there's also plenty of free public parking all around Summerhill. PRO TIP #1: cinnamon rolls are only available on Saturdays, so get them before they sell out! PRO TIP #2: they've got mimosas and aperol spritzes for $7 on the menu on weekends which is the perfect way to start the day with a donut. Can't wait to stop in again for more brioche donuts and brunch cocktails soon!

I was in the downtown area and needed a spot to check out for breakfast. Due to a stopped train in a train track that diverted me from my first choice, I ended up at hero. History: based on my quick research I determined that this spot originated in Alabama in 2017. It started out as a pop up shop. They pride themselves on using brioche style, yeast for the doughnuts and bread. Today, they have 6 brick and mortar locations serving breakfast plates, burgers, salads, and of course doughnuts! You can also order coffee drinks and crunchy cocktails. Parking: honestly, I don't know if I parked in the right spot, however, there is a lot at the rear of the restaurant . The spots are limited, but luckily we scored one! I did not see any place to pay, so I assume it's free parking. The inside of this spot is small! There are tables, but not a ton. They also have a cute patio and it would be perfect in warm days! You order your food and pay at the register. If you are dinning in you will be given a number so they can bring your order to your table. The staff taking our order was nice. She helped me decide on a doughnut to try. I ordered the folded egg and cheese bun. It is only $5. However, she asked me what meat I wanted and I said chicken sausage. To add the meat is an additional $3.00. I also ordered a cup of coffee and a bread pudding doughnut. My mom ordered the Hero breakfast plate with chicken sausage. The total came up to like $27 prior to me adding a tip. The food was brought to our table in about 10 minutes. My mother immediately noticed that they failed to give her the chicken salad with her plate. They also did not provide me with my coffee cup or my doughnut. When I received my cup I went to pour coffee in my cup from the drink station. They had options for both pat and almond milk. Both containers were empty. Remind you it was only about 9am in a Saturday. Maybe they just forgot to refill after the early morning rush? The food was good. Nothing that I will be driving from my side of town to get. However, if I am in the area I would not be opposed to stopping for a bite to eat in the future. A few things to note- the hash browns are more like very think diced potatoes and NOT your tradition shredded potato hash browns. The doughnut I tried had an interesting consistency and taste. I think I need to try a different flavor to provide a true rating for the doughnuts. Overall I would recommend checking this spot out if in the area!

Nice and quaint restaurant. Indoor and outdoor seating. Breakfast items served all day. Not a full breakfast but good breakfast sandwiches with options of eggs and hash browns. Coffee, sodas and milkshakes. Did not have lunch sandwiches but they look delicious so I will go back. Now the good part with their selection of doughnut flavors.

DELECTABLE DINER EATS!!! Okay sooo... watz up here??? Pastries? Donuts? Cinnamon Rolls? Secret Atlanta code words for something else?!? Well, I'm TOTALLY intrigued! Located on the outskirts of downtown Atlanta, away from hustle & bustle around Centennial Olympic Park, the area it sits in, is not suss in any way. Yelp directions are on point. No street parking, just gotta go behind the building to access their dedicated car spots. THANK GOD there is functional A/C inside cuz HOT-Lanta gatz the heat AND humidity... UGH!!! Counter service is friendly, patient & helpful. Menu is actually a bunch of brekkie eats from the grill, burgers, chicken sandos, coffee drinks, Big Hero "Drinks" and a variety of donuts of unique flavors. My big question is, CAN I USE A DONUT for the burger bun??? Cuz I can not find dat option easily in Cali :( After proposing the request to the Lovely Lass runnin' the counter, what seemed like a lengthy discussion with the chef, I got the thumbs up! Oh yeah, HERE WE GO! DOUBLE DAD BURGER & REVENGE OF THE NERDS ( Mango Glaze) RAISED DONUT: THIS combination is ABSOLUTELY DEELISH! Two beef patties, Pepper Jack cheese, jalapeños, Duke's Mayo, and bacon jam surrounded by a Revenge Of The Nerds Donut! Apparently if they do the Donut Burger, it is typically done only with a simple Glazed Raised Donut, which they were out of on our visit. Maybe that's why there was a lengthy discussion with the chef? Nonetheless, I thought my Nerd Donut Burger was STRAIGHT BOMB DIGGITY!!! That mango glaze combined with Jalepeños & Pepper Jack cheese, tho... LOVED the Sweet and Spicy interplay! The beef patties were moist & flavorful. Cheese was melted perfectly. Combined with good sized portion of crinkle fries... what a DELIGHTFUL lunch this was! Thanks for honoring this customer's request and making this burger happen cuz it's gotta be one of my faves in da USA! :) LITTLE HERO CHEESEBURGER SLIDER: Our Baby wasn't too hungry but wanted a little something for the road so he went with a Little Hero option... cheeseburger & fruit! Not as good as my Donut burger, but he enjoyed it ;) DOUBLE HERO CHEESEBURGER: No one else in the fam was interested in goin' outta da box and wanted to keep it "normal." So Double Heros for the rest of my boys. Simple, yet much better than any Big Chain burger we coulda munched on. Beef Patties here were equally skillfully cooked as mine. Happy campers here! BANANA PUDDIN' SHAKE: This was quite flavorful with the taste buds definitely sensing the Banana Pudding effect! Not too thick or watery. Perfect consistency to enjoy slowly. VERY EASY RECOMMENDATION! Love, LOVE The Donut Burger option!! We shoulda hit this place earlier during our Atlanta visit so I coulda come back for seconds! A family fave for our Atlanta run! Enjoy :)

Came by here after visiting next door Hot Dog Pete's. Figured I was in the neighborhood from out of town, so might as well make it count! Fun fact: I was excited to learn this concept originated in Birmingham. Home state represent! The inside is cute and bright and colorful. It's also connected to a large patio with lots of seating. There's limited free parking behind the restaurant, so that's nice, too. There was still a decent selection of doughnuts around noon on a Friday. They also serve "real" food too, like burgers, if you want a meal. I selected a coconut doughnut for myself and was in and out quickly! The staff member who checked me out was very pleasant and smiley. I didn't eat it until a few hours later so perhaps that contributed some to its deterioration, but personally I thought it was...fine. Huge caveat: I'm honestly not a huge doughnut person. I like them okay but they're generally not my top priority for a treat. And as far as doughnuts for me go, this one was just okay. I thought the dough/breading was a little dry and dense. It was pretty chewy and not the airy light texture I usually associate with yeast doughnuts. The coconut glaze was a little too sweet for my preference too, but on the bright side there were ample coconut flakes and those were tasty. If I came back I'd probably try something off their food menu rather than getting another doughnut, but YMMV!

Doughnuts were SO FLAVORFUL here. I got a pistachio, coconut and banana pudding. All the flavors are so potent so they def did their job. I think they could have cut back on the sweetness just a little but with coffee it'd be great! I would recommend the filled doughnuts over the regulars though. They're much more moist inside than the regular ones. Even though they all had flavor, the texture could have been slightly softer.

I ended up with a double beef burger (each patty is 1/4 pound) at $9, pimento cheese (.75 cents) and Grindhouse Sauce which was in the 1000 island / Mac sauce territory. I was undecided on a side so lucky for me there is a "Frings" option of 1/2 onion rings and fries ($5.75). The burger was a little on the dry side even with the toppings but the potato roll made it a little more interesting. The onion rings were great and can't go wrong with crinkle cut fries. Cold Tropicalia on draft ($8) served by friendly bar staff made it a really great experience. Even though this is not my favorite burger, the sides, the drink options and the overall vibe of the place with excellent service still will make this a place I could visit again. Maybe giving a different burger a try instead of a BYO like I did the first time out.

And the standards for this type of business concept are normally belooow the basement. But I figured we'd stop in while running errands in the area and grab something to munch on. I saw that they fry with tallow and I'm always on the hunt for some beef fat fried goodness. Now it's a rarity to spend less than $10 on a good burger these days in ATL, and even more of a rarity to feel that said burger was worth your coins. I side-eyed their $6 single but figured I'd give it a shot. Man, NFA proves that a burger doesn't have to be "gourmet" to still be damn good. The sauces, mustard, juices from the beef, slight sweetness from the potato roll, the crunch of the pickle... it all combines into something simplistic in nature yet magical. I usually expect this level of good (and inexpensive) in South GA but they brought that small town flair to the suburbs of Dunwoody. I hate crinkle fries normally but the decision to fry them in tallow makes me a believer. Simple, classic menu. No frills. Hot and fast. Great customer service, too. Just wait in your car and an amicable young adult (of which they seem to largely employ) will bring your order out to your car or to their picnic tables in the back. $17 for two to eat... in this day and age?!?! The flavor comes from the garlic mince that is on top. The ranch is like a mixture of an aioli and tartar sauce (I think they make it in house, correct me if I'm wrong). - CONS: Inconsistent texture as some of the fries were dense but a few had that good hollow crisp bite. Holeman and Finch is known for its burger, and deservedly so, but I can't stress enough how good the other food and drink are here. Looking at the current list of Atlanta restaurants in the Michelin Guide, I think Holeman and Finch deserves to be included. I wonder why they got snubbed. Holeman and Finch relocated to Colony Square in Midtown in February 2023. The restaurant validates parking in the Colony Square garage for two hours. We stayed just over two hours and ended up paying $6. I like to enter and exit the garage via Peachtree St NE. There's also an entrance/exit on 14th St NE, next to The Starling hotel. We used to go to the original location in Brookwood/South Buckhead circa 2010 when only 24 burgers were made per night and released at 10pm. Holeman and Finch existed in that location from 2008 to 2020. It was quite the Yelp hot spot: https://www.yelp.com/biz/holeman-and-finch-atlanta-2 This new location at Colony Square is way more spacious and looks great. There's indoor and outdoor (covered and uncovered) seating. The atmosphere is that of a modern, upscale pub. It's nice. Reservations can be booked on OpenTable, so get those dining points. Our server said the brunch menu was served until 4pm. Here's what my wife and I had: Drinks: * H&F Bloody Mary ($14) * Iced Tea - half sweet, half unsweet ($5) Graze: * Naturally Served Oysters ($5 each) - cocktail sauce, mignonette, buttered saltines, horseradish - Lowcountry Cups - Charleston, SC - Dukes of Topsail - Topsail Sound, NC - Dixon Point - New Brunswick, Canada * Deviled Egg Trio ($9) - classic, country ham, and Pickapeppa mayo * Hand Chopped Sirloin Steak Tartare ($20) - capers, horseradish, egg yolk, chips * Simple Lettuces ($15) - citrus vinaigrette, crisp shallots, fromage blanc, pecans Sandwiches: * H+F Cheeseburger ($28) - certified Angus and Hereford beef, onions, Kraft, fries Plates: * Housemade Scottish Gravlax ($18) - toasted brioche, fried Pantelleria capers, lemon dill clabber * Holeman + Finch Vegetable Plate ($32) - "all that is best from our Southern farms" Dessert: * Sticky Toffee Pudding ($14) - vanilla ice cream Everything, down to the sweet tea, was fantastic. The Bloody Mary was strong and so delicious that I gulped it down. All of the dishes were beautifully plated and finished. The oysters were fresh, superb quality, and cleanly shucked. They forgot the crackers, but that's okay. I highly recommend the deviled eggs. They were perhaps the best we've ever had anywhere. If you're unfamiliar with Pickapeppa, it's a sweet and savory Jamaican brown sauce that is used to make the mayo for this dish. There was nothing "simple" about the Simple Lettuces salad. It was pretty much a perfect, tasty, and refreshing salad. As for the H+F Cheeseburger, it's a classic and continues to be one of the best burgers around. Every bite is just so good, and the ketchup and mustard remain distinct. If you've never had the burger before, get it here or at H&F Burger at Ponce City Market. The Truist Park version isn't the same and I've never tried the Mercedes-Benz Stadium version (the old Turner Field version was legit, though). If you like gravlax, wow - the gravlax here is amazing and really well made. The Vegetable Plate was terrific as well. It featured potatoes, okra, beans, succotash, mushrooms, onions, peppers, tomatoes, and more with a fried onion ring on top. It's a great dish to share. The Sticky Toffee Pudding was top-notch - exceptional texture and flavor, and perfectly paired with a scoop of dense vanilla ice cream. Our server was Jonathan R. He was friendly and took great care of us. A manager checked on us too.

The burger was an 8.75/10, and the fries were an easy 10/10. It came with what tasted like homemade…read moreketchup and mustard on the side, and both were fantastic. I usually drench everything in sauce, but this meal honestly didn't need it. I also ordered a sweet tea nothing fancy, just a classic sweet tea that hit the spot. My waitress was lovely, and I really enjoyed spending a relaxing afternoon here. My only complaint is the price. While the food was good, I'm not sure the meal was worth the $28 price tag. Other than that, I had a great experience and would definitely consider coming back.
