I have to find out who Shane is! We've been here two times now and it has been consistently delicious both times. Service is order at the counter and they will bring out the food to you. Servers have always been very nice and helpful demystifying some of the more obscure items on the menu. Have never been here with bar service but there is a whole bar there (that has never been open, but just maybe we're going at weird times. Who knows.) The place is very casual again with the bar in the back, serve yourself water and condiments in the middle, and you bus your own table. No pretentions of being fancier than it is. The burgers are excellent with good seasoning on the patties. Not smash burgers which a lot of other places are here. The chili/spicy salt for the fries is delicious and their apps are great with the burgers too. Fry order is gigantic and often enough for two with sharing. The fried cheese burger was a little underwhelming, but regular burgers with cheese and toppings are amazing. Wings and Korean fried chicken are also on offer but we have never tried. Recommended for a slightly elevated burger without having to dine in and do table service. read more

I am home helping my mom and wanted a burger for lunch. Found this place and I'm so glad I did. All of the burgers look amazing . I got the garlic lovers burger. This was one of the best burgers I have had in a long time. Garlic was on point ( Dracula would not approve) I also got a side of truffle fries. This is one of my go to places for burgers. The service was great and the interior had an industrial touch to it. But let's take about the burger! The burger was on point and cooked perfectly. I think they put just enough salt and pepper to season the patties. The buns were toasted which gives it a slight crunchiness around the edges and a soft finish. We were in Alpharetta for a mid-morning appointment and decided to grab lunch at the Craft Burger by Shane near the Avalon. Nice location in a strip center with free parking behind the restaurant. We were the first customers of the day and the server at the counter patiently answered our questions about the menu offerings. My better half ordered the Busy Bees Burger with a double smash patty. She substituted the Crumbled blue cheese for cheddar cheese. You don't get a choice of temperature on the patties but my wife loved her burger. I ordered BYO Chicken sandwich. The chicken sandwich is made with tenders rather than a chicken breast but the tenders are plentiful, excellent and full of flavor. For sides, we ordered 6 onion rings and Aioli Parmesan fries. The fries were hot and crispy. Our only complaint was not much Aioli was tasted on the fries. Onion rings had a crispy batter and were delicious. The restaurant is clean and inviting on the inside with plenty of booths and high top tables. If you want a great smash burger or tasty chicken tender sandwich, you owe it to yourself to try Craft Burger by Shane. read more

The Craft Buger by Shane on Old Milton is an AWESOME place. My wife and I found this place after leaving the AT&T Store across the street. We tried it and LOVED it. Anytime we are near Atlanta and in a burger mood, it's our go to place. This is a review of our last visit. We stopped by and ordered a couple of burgers and onion rings. I had the classic while my wife had the build your own burger (BYOB). Mine was fantastic. However, my wife was not completely satisfied with her burger so she went to tell them about it . The Assistant Manager Selena took care of it with no problem. They corrected the issue and brought it back out to her. ADDITIONALLY, she took the time to stop by and ensure my wife was very happy with her burger. This is NOT something you expect from just any burger place. We got the Cheese It and the Southern Grower plus some loaded fries to share and it was all delicious. The Cheese It was probably the best. The loaded fries are interesting - fries, bacon, cheese, guacamole, sour cream, and a sauce that's very heavy on mustard. We didn't mind it but it's a very unexpected combination. Overall enjoyed the quality of the burger. The onion rings were above average. We shared a lemon pepper wings which was juicy. Burger Paradise in Alpharetta! My wife and I headed out Saturday to try out Craft Burger by Shane in Alpharetta. We have tried many specialty burger places in Atlanta including Moxie Burger, Canyon's, Lucky's, Shake Sack and several others and Craft Burger by Shane beats them all in my opinion. We split a Green Mile Burger - 1/3 pound "CHB" patty w/ Pepper Jack Cheese, Green Chile, Mashed Avocado, Baby Arugula and Homemade "The Sauce" (we had the sauce on the side) and also had 2 different types of fries to try: Buffalo Fries - House Fries topped w/ Melted Bleu Cheese and Creamy Buffalo Sauce and also their House Fries - Fries w/ Spicy Dust (we had the Dust on the side so we could try with and w/o). Everything was incredibly fresh and cooked perfectly. The burger was very juicy without being greasy and the combo of the Pepper Jack Cheese, Green Chile, Mashed Avocado, Baby Arugula went perfect together. Both of the fries were hot with just the right amount of crispness to them. The Buffalo Fries could be a meal just by themselves and the combination of the melted blue cheese and creamy buffalo sauce over perfectly hot crispy fries was extremely satisfying. The house fries were equally as good either plain, dipped in ketchup or with the spicy dust. All in all a very satisfying experience and our conclusion is that we would rather drive out of our way to go here for our Burger fix than go to one of the other popular specialty burger restaurants that are much closer to us read more

Skip the loaded fries. I'm not sure what exactly I'm eating here but it isn't good. The cheese is literal slices of cheese melted onto the fries. There's only about a teaspoon of bacon on the whole meal, and then they are so doused in a mustard sauce that I can hardly taste anything else. My only minor concern was the cost for the food. Feeding 4 with 4 burgers, 3 sides and 2 drinks came to just over $75. The restaurant was not too busy and our food came out rather quickly. So no complain there. However the fries were not freshly fried, they were not crispy or hot. The burgers were drenched in sauces and condiments I could barely taste the beef. So I ended up removing my bun and just eating the beef with lettuce. The beef did have a good flavor, I wish the patty was thicker so I could enjoy it with the bun. The Buffalo fries were soggy and the sauce the came with just made them a soupy concoction. Great burgers! It seems like so many places are going with the order at the counter sit down and get your food model now. What is happening to the full service model?!? I hate having to get back in line to order something more... or having to track a person down if there is an issue. Craft burger is on of those... you walk in order at their counter and then sit down and wait. We decided to take ours to go... the inside is nice but falls short of feeling good. It is just empty... not designed... and missing character. There was also no alcohal here at all... not even beer. My boys and I ordered our burgers and waited. It took a bit but not forever. It was not an unreasonable wait. But seemed to be on the longer side. We took our food home. The order was a bit messed up, we didn't get one the sides we ordered... but we also did not get charged for it so my fault for not checking the receipt. The burgers were good though... big fat patties, lots of juicy goodness, soft warm buns, plenty of fixings on them... they were very good. Well worth the cost too! Yes, as the name says, I'm indeed a garlic lover and this is a delight for me. If you are a vegetarian, the best thing about this place is that you get a Veggie patty for an additional 50cents. And that's worth it! You get to choose whatever burger you want from the distinguished menu and you can opt for a Veggie patty and slide it in. Tried burgers and fries in a lot of breweries which offer dining options, but got to say this is simply the best in and around Atlanta/ Alpharetta! On top of that you can get the House fries or the Sweet potato fries as sides and it tastes fabulous. The "spicy powder" (optional) they keep near the Ketchup dispenser is a wonderful topping for the fries! The quantity is abundant! The burger might seem a bit small but trust me, it will make you feel complete in the end if you are going to have the Fries as well! I wish they added some more tomatoes or lettuce! There are plenty of creative options here or you can build your own. However, I opted for a simple burger and could have split it with my son. Be warned; it is Messy! Even my simple cheeseburger was hard to handle. It was huge. Next time I would ask to go light with the lettuce, tomato, pickles and sauce. The fries were good. There is a little container of spice for the fries by the condiments and it was the highlight for me. My son was even putting it on his bun too. It was yummy! The service was fast - nothing overly friendly or spectacular. The tables were clean - which in a quick service spot this messy was impressive. Went to Craft Burger for the first time today and I'm already wanting to come back! There is such a wide variety of different flavor combinations to choose from. It was hard to pick! We chose the BLAT burger and K-POP burger. Both were delicious, juicy, flavorful, and fresh. The price was fair for the quality of burger you are getting. The house fries were a great side and we enjoyed the spicy dust with them. All of the employees were so friendly and helpful. Makes such a difference as a customer when you are greeted with kindness. If you are looking for a gourmet burger in a casual setting, this is your place! I'm so glad to see this place succeeding after many restaurants have failed in this space. The parking lot is big due to the shared lot with the surrounding businesses, and it wasn't hard to find a spot on a Saturday night. The menu has a lot going on and took some time to make sense as they have so much more than just burgers, and the organization could be better. There were a good amount of people inside, but we found a table easily after ordering at the counter and getting a buzzer. Our food arrived within 10 minutes and was delicious! I got the Almost Famous burger. The bun was so soft and the patty was definitely a nice blend of meat. Everything was sliced thick and the Almost Famous sauce was like a thousand island. The brussel sprouts we got were also great. At the end, everyone gets soft serve, in either a cup or cone at the bar area (which was not being used as a bar). Was in the mood for burgers, and was excited to try out Craft Burger! The average rating came to a 3.86, which I've rounded up to a 4 here. My partner and I ordered the K-Pop burger, PB Chicken sandwich, King Oyster (KO) Mushroom w an extra beef patty, house fries, and fried brussel sprouts - TASTE: 2/5 - wished the beef patties were seasoned a bit more. The flavors and creativity were there, but I thought they'd be amplified, especially at a burger joint. I wanted the Korean bulgogi sauce aioli to shine in the K-Pop, and the pesto cream and spicy Mayo in the KO mushroom to be stronger. We added two more servings of the spicy dust to the house fries to kick it up a notch. As an ongoing never ending search of amazing burgers, I came here for lunch on a whim because well, the website was very alluring. I ordered the Southern Grower, the pimento cheese drove me to order that. And disappointment followed because well it looked great on the website, looked great when I saw it, but as soon as I took a bite it was a feeling of "meh". The one big takeaway from here was that the burgers looks absolutely pretty, but when you bite into it, it just doesn't do burgers justice. The meat was warm, the cheese and ingredients were cold. I'm all about having the cheese to be melty and just nice and hot and when you bite into the toasted bun that it just oozes. This burger, nope. The pimento cheese seemed to come straight from the fridge. Craft Burger is a welcome addition to the Avalon area. Though this specific location has had a lot of turnover (previously Burger 21, and then KBBQ on Fire), so I'm hoping it does well here. There are lots of options for burger style and protein. For vegetarians, they have an Impossible patty as well as a mushroom patty. I had the Green Mile with chicken and it was very good. I would definitely recommend upgrading to the buffalo fries as your side, as they were really tasty. It's smothered in blue cheese and buffalo sauce. Some of our fries orders came out cold, but they were nice about it and replaced them without issue. The location has a really nice outdoor patio. When we went, they didn't have their beer license yet, but I know they are working on it. Parking is very easy, as it's in a smaller strip mall across from Avalon. read more
