    OG Vanilla Donut
    Kimberly A.

I was impressed upon walking in - lots of seating and lots of light. Great for a morning pick me up of coffee and donuts. Their PUMPKIN SPICE LATTE for fall is perfect and warming - not too sweet at all. They had beautifully decorated Halloween donuts - perfect for all your Halloween parties! I had to try their VANILLA OG DONUT. It was perfectly risen with a light vanilla bean glaze on top. You can even see the seeds from the vanilla beans! And last but not least, I finished it all off with a JALAPEÑO KOLACHE - slightly overseasoned with an over baked pastry dough jacket - unfortunately I was not a fan. Service is attentive and courteous! Recommendation for those that don't prefer overly sweet: TRY THE APPLE CIDER DONUTS! Can't wait to take the whole family back for more donuts!

    Hamburger with Cucumber Tomato salad

The burger was good. Freshly baked bun was the highlight. I choose cucumber tomato salad as my side. It was pretty bland. For dessert I had a cream filled donut. The cream was scarce and only filled half the donut. But most alarming was this single donut was almost 5 bucks. I probably would not go back.

Boxed Lunch Grilled Chicken Sandwich with fresh fruit and Sidekicks.

At a recent event, we got Hero's catered lunches. They were fantastic! We've had every kind of food catered for this particular kind of event, and this one stood out as different. The grilled chicken was cooked to perfection on a great-tasting bun. Fruit is a great side to compliment the grilled chicken, but the sidekicks stole the show. While it might be on the slightly higher side of the price range for boxed lunches, it was not too high a price for the quality or for a regular lunch price. Almost wish there wasn't a 20-box minimum or I might get it on the regular for other, smaller get-togethers.

Raspberry jam filled (white flour instead of powdered sugar on top) - oops!

I've been a fan of the strawberry donut from Hero Doughnuts for years and was so glad to have them open a location on this side of town. My first visit didn't go so well through. Oh, everything was nice - a clean, well decorated store, plenty of workers making more donuts as well as taking orders, plenty of customers salivating over the display of donuts. I purchased the Chef Wil's 1/2 dozen - pistachio, bread pudding, mango cream, and raspberry jam filled. I ate one pistachio donut before leaving the parking lot! It was tasty. At home, my husband tried the raspberry jam filled (filled donuts are his favorite) but said he didn't care for the cake-like dense style. And he didn't finish the donut. So I tasted the donut and noted that something was very wrong! The white powdery substance on top of the donut was not sweet, not powdered sugar, as one would think. Nope, it was plain white flour or baking powder. Awful texture, awful taste, awful experience. I contacted them via Instagram and after an initial response of "oh no, we're sorry" and asking for my contact info so that their management can make it up to me, they haven't followed up with me. I know it was just a simple mistake made on their opening week, and they need to work out the kinks, but this experience - bad donut, bad customer service - really left a bad taste in my mouth. I'm sure I'll try them again but maybe not in the near future.

That peaches and cream doughnut was heavenly!

If you want a great burger and even better doughnuts, check out Hero Doughnuts! They have a peaches and cream doughnut that honestly is the best doughnut I've ever had in my life! I'm so serious!

New location, just opened today! Yay! Located in Stadium Trace Village near The Pants Store (behind Aldi). Only got donuts on this visit but they were yummy! We will definitely be coming back to try the burgers. Staff were super friendly. Lots of people working on this day. Wait was short. Go check out this new location!

Jalapeño sausage and cheese kolache. It was good, but not $6 good.

Very good food! Kolaches are good, but too expensive for just 1. I like how they out the cheese on the outside of the sausage instead of just a sausage stuffed with cheese. Highly recommend the breakfast sandwiches with a friend egg. That's the winner

I can't get enough of this place! I don't eat this type of food a whole lot, but this place makes it tough for me. Their doughnuts are fantastic and I love their draft lattes. But my favorite thing, the breakfast buns. Oh. My. Goodness. Their special Cracked Sauce & pepper jam is perfection, especially together, with that sweet & spicy combo. Oh, and they serve breakfast all day, so yes, I've gotten the breakfast sandwich for lunch. All the workers have been very friendly as well. I left a couple of bucks in the tip jar and the girl at the register was so appreciative. My only negative would be their new shakes. I tried the Banana Puddin' shake & it seemed to be just vanilla ice cream with banana flavor instead of real banana. Big no for me. But everything else is so great. I highly recommend Hero.

    Special Request :)

I love this hero's location because: 1. The staff and management team are friendly kind and accommodating 2. They treat us like family every time we're there and don't seem to ever get exhausted with our request or my endless comments about wanting the salads back. 3. They are thoughtful always...even ask questions about my order when I forget to make my normal substitute request. 4. The partners are open and transparent about menu changes and I appreciate how they listen with care to my complaints yes about the salads. Today, however was special. I stopped by for donuts and breakfast with the family while juggling a work call before the holiday. And when I sat down after my call they surprised me with a special order Kale Caesar Salad. I just am beyond the moon at the thoughtfulness of the management team and partners. I appreciated this more than can be expressed. The longing for the Creamy peppery crunch of the kale Caesar salad was met today and indeed just melted my tastebuds and my heart! Thank you all so much for this!! And I'll be back again in a few weeks when we return from our travels.

Because this is in the same parking lot as first watch, which is a breakfast/lunch restaurant the parking lot was pretty packed. We got there around 12 and luckily he was able to find a parking spot. As soon as we walked in, we could tell it was pretty busy in there. I saw a couple getting up from a table and immediately went over and sat at the table. It is table service, but you do have to order at the counter. They have a pretty good variety of burgers, chicken sandwiches, and salads. Unfortunately, due to an outbreak for lettuce that is getting people sick I decided against getting a salad. I just got a regular cheeseburger and it was delicious. My son also got a buffalo chicken sandwich which I must say was a very good size sandwich and a burger with tater tots. I got the french fries and they were very good. I will definitely be back here. The prices were great, and the food was delicious.

Baja Burger may want to gather the staff together and have a difficult conversation about the word…read more"burger" being in the restaurant name. Because when I walked in and asked the very nice guy at the register what their best item was, he didn't hesitate for even half a second. "Fried chicken club sandwich. Hands down." Not "one of our burgers." Not "depends what you like." Nope. Immediate confidence. The kind of confidence that makes you trust a stranger with your financial future. So naturally I ordered exactly that. He even doubled down and told me it was the best sandwich he's ever had. Ever. That's a dangerous level of hype to put on a chicken sandwich. At that point I wasn't ordering lunch anymore. I was preparing for a spiritual experience. I got the sweet potato fries on the side and sat there waiting like a kid staring at the oven on Christmas morning. Then the sandwich arrived. And honestly? Visually, this thing deserved its own entrance music. Beautiful sandwich. Crispy golden chicken, stacked perfectly, looked like it had been assembled by a food stylist with relationship issues. I took the first bite and immediately realized what was wrong. Flavor had called in sick. The chicken itself was cooked perfectly. Great crunch. Juicy inside. Beautiful breading. But somehow nobody introduced it to salt, pepper, seasoning, spices, or joy. It tasted like the kitchen spent all their energy making it look incredible and forgot the whole "taste" portion of the assignment. My colleague ordered the exact same thing and had the exact same reaction, which honestly made me feel better because for a second I thought COVID had made a surprise comeback. The sandwich was one shake of Cajun seasoning away from greatness. The sweet potato fries were solid flavor-wise, but a little limp. Not tragic. Just lacking that crispness that makes you keep stealing fries after you're already full. This place feels like a really good concept that just needs somebody in the kitchen to become emotionally invested in seasoning. Three stars feels fair. Nothing was bad. Nothing offended me. It was just aggressively average after being introduced with Super Bowl-level hype. I'd come back, but next time I'm ordering an actual burger at the place called Baja Burger. Feels like that's probably the safer bet.
