FOOD I've never had anything here that I didn't like. Burgers, fries, okra, broadcast, fish, salmon, burger chili cheese tots, you name it, it's awesome. My usual go to is to split the following with my wife...the mushroom bacon swiss burger, sweet potato fries, and fried okra. Ranch for the okra and tomato chutney for the sweet potato fries makes the meal. I sometimes branch out with those delicious chili cheese thoughts or the salmon burger. My dad loves the fried catfish. ATMOSPHERE This place is so fun! Plenty of seating inside and outside. The patio seating on a spring is wonderful. There are a two televisions so, while I haven't done it, I bet this would be a great place to watch a game. SERVICE The service here is always spectacular. YUM! I got the build your own (BYOB) chicken burger with pepper jack cheese, tomato, grilled onions, and chipotle aoli and a side of tater tots. It was ~$15. I was there Saturday night, about 7:30 PM, and the service was relatively fast, even though they were a bit busy. There are coloring sheets and crayons at the order counter. They also have high chairs. The environment is very casual - counter order / seat yourself. The employees were fairly nice. There are two one-person bathrooms. Finding a non-beef burger in Birmingham is difficult, but Baha burger has a diverse selection including turkey and chicken burgers. I built my own chicken burger with feta, pickles, red onions, and chipotle aïoli sauce with fries on the side. I was pleasantly surprised by how good it was. And all for $14, which is pretty standard for a casual dinner. The service was fast. I'm a fan of Baha Burgers, which has two locations in the Birmingham area. This one is in Vestavia near Lifetime Fitness, and the other is on Highway 31 in Hoover. Food is cooked to order, and the staff delivers it to your table. I've had several items here, including the hamburgers, the Bang Bang Buffalo chicken sandwich, and the blackened fish sandwich, and I don't think I've ever been disappointed. Today, I ordered the Catfish Basket with one filet. The filet was large, lightly battered, and fried to perfection. It was served hot with bread, French fries, and a small cup of fresh fruit (grapes and watermelon). If you like fried catfish, I really think you'd enjoy this. I also love that they offer a variety of fried sides that can be substituted. Instead of fries, you can choose sweet potato fries, tater tots, fried okra, or onion rings. The CRISPY CLUCK SANDWICH rivals any chicken sandwich out there. The chicken was fried crisp and was huge! Their ONION RINGS are a must order. They are lightly breaded and crispy. Their MEDITERRANEAN LAMB SALAD is a unique entree salad to try. They top off romaine and mixed greens with tomatoes, feta cheese, cucumbers, olives, roasted red peppers, and a warm ground lamb patty. Unlike most other burger places, Baja has several other sandwich options including an excellent chicken sandwich, a salmon croquet "burger", a lamb burger, and a salmon filet sandwich with red onion slice and dill sauce. I will start by saying that the are very family friendly with the ring game and cornhole for the kids to do something before or after the meal. But the food was not nearly as good as I remember. I always get the lamb burger with feta on top. I have always loved their variety of burgers. But this time it was kind of dry and bland. I was not a huge fan. I love this place! The Buffalo Chicken Sandwich here is always fresh and crispy and they never hold off on the sauce! I also am obsessed with their skinny fries and their thin, crispy onion rings. The menu just felt clean and far from greasy fast food burger and fries. There were a couple of burgers that looked good to me, but I ended up getting the Farm burger which is a turkey burger with bacon, cheese, an egg, and tomato chutney. The tomato chutney was the only thing I didn't love, it was a little too sweet for my taste personally. Austin got the salmon burger and tots which I enjoyed some tots too.
