I know a book is scheduled to come out soon and am looking for one other of his. While I found none of his works here, I did not look too deeply, nor did I ask. I did find a graphic novel of a compilation of fairy tales that I did get. If I were not already nervous about coming into a store that is out of my comfort zone, I would have asked the guy working. Inside is very neat and clean and seemed to be well organized. I went on a weekend morning, and it was not busy at all. This seems to be an awesome place that a comic book or graphic novel person could spend all day in and I don't think the management would mind. There is plenty of parking in front, and this store is nestled in a small strip mall.

On the day that we were here, my friend was looking for something specific, and although they didn't have what she was looking for in store, they offered to order it for her. Of course, they have some rare books that you can buy as well as some collectors items. I'm not really into comic books, but the woman working was super friendly and helpful and showed me around a bit and gave me an idea of what they have. I want to go back and bring David because he loves comic books and I know that he'd appreciate this spot.

Just off St. Charles Ave, right behind the BEAUTIFUL Latter Library, and only open for a few select…read morehours each week, this little book store is full of the BEST DEALS in used books in the city, the area, and possibly the state (please correct me if you know of somewhere better!). It is well organized, full of Thousands of books for $1 dollar (Not all books are one dollar, but more than half!). They also have DVDs, and kids books.There is a big shelf as soon as you walk in filled with the books that most kids have to read for their English classes, and most for $1. And then you are finished reading your books, you can donate them back to this facility and it goes to further the efforts of the Friends of the New Orleans Public Library.....win-win!! An added benefit for those who like to compost, Compost NOW accepts frozen compostable food scraps here from 12:30pm-2pm every Wednesday. Recycle some books, and recycle food waste.

While they have all kinds of cool things..... wait I did buy my neighbor Bill a pair of Vincent VanGogh socks and a tiny bendable man model... I usually buy spray paint. The staff is pretty friendly and knowledgeable. When they see me they head stead the they can cages to unlock them and if you see there's one color completely out of stock, well I'm sorry it was probably me.
