The staff from Les (the owner) to everyone working there have always been very friendly and helpful. The store is also very kid friendly with a dedicated and well stocked kid section for all ages! My kids love when I bring them as a treat. Going in on Wednesdays to pick up my comics has become a part of the week that I really look forward to.

The store was small but with a good selection of comics, including some nice older wall books, a couple rows of long boxes, & a decent selection of new books. Seemed to have a smaller selection of sports cards & toys. The man working behind the counter (owner?) was nice, greeting me as I entered with my 2 kids. He offered assistance but I didn't need any. He continued his conversation with a regular customer about old sci-fi episodes. Eavesdropping on their conversation made me feel right at home. Just like my local comic book store. As a Funko pop collector, this was very disappointing to see that they changed the Disney display. When we visited, it was crowded, but there was an event going on outside. Additionally, groups were there to meet and have coffee and chat. They have a coffee bar that appears to be well appointed. The book selection is wonderful. So many James Baldwin titles, including some you don't see regularly. They do online orders, so if you are looking for Baldwin books or books on Black history/social justice, consider buying from this Black owned business instead of Amazon. They also have a beautiful air bnb for rent. As mentioned in other reviews, this is in the Marigny/Bywater neighborhood and can be made part of a full day of activities, including JamNola and Allways Lounge and great restaurants.
