The BEST greek and middle eastern food in this area by far! We got the falafel, chicken shawarma and beef shawarma with tzatziki and baba ghanouj with pita, as well as a chicken gyro. Every single thing we got was absolutely incredible and very clearly homemade. We ended our meal with the dessert, baklava, which was so good we ended up buying every other piece they had. It is so hard to find a quiet place in Midland to take someone out for a business lunch or dinner. Most places might be good, but they're LOUD. This is a quiet place that I've never seen crowded, but the food is good, not the ordinary run of what one expects in West Texas, the tea and coffee are *outstanding* and it's quickly become my favorite place to take someone visiting from out of town for a bite to eat. read more

First time stopping here. I ordered a falafel 3 piece and gyro with fries. Let's start off on the positives. The other lady at the register was very nice quick to take my order and to inform me of the sad outage of baklava. The beef gyro that I ordered had good flavor and while not my normal tzatziki sauce the large piece of cucumber and delicate sauce possibly a bit deal heavy but that's preference based. Overall the gyro was very good looking forward to trying other items they have in wrap form. The falafel was tasty not entirely sure why they serve it with shredded lettuce underneath other than for decoration would have been nice to have a little side of some type of sauce to possibly dip it in. But they were light well seasoned not overly cooked. now for the sad bits one I cannot grade their back of i as I did have a taste for it and they are completely out.I did order the french fries not sure what I was expecting however the fries were undercooked and not at all salted. no not salting the fries I get some people have high blood pressure or for further fries unsalted but undercooked floppy fries are not at all appetizing. I did get my order to go and that was my fault if I would have been in the restaurant when eating my food I could have expressed my issues to the people inside. Overall positive experience staff was nice, restaurant was clean, and seemed to be well-liked by the locals. Looking forward to my next visit hopefully I can try some baklava. read more

We let great reviews lead us to Heroes Meals and we weren't disappointed. Very friendly owners in a quaint little eatery. The peach tea was so refreshing and my husband enjoyed the Jamaican tea. The Iraqi Beef/Lamb Kabobs were so tender and tasty and the Tsatziki is the best we've ever had. I chose the hummus as a side and it was freshly made and so much better than store bought. The only non plus comment I can offer is the rice was a bit bland. Otherwise everything was 5 star and we will definitely be back. read more

My husband and I both ate the shawarmas, I had chicken and he had beef, and we both loved it. It was fresh and had great ingredients. I had the tzatziki and he had the sweet potatoes as our sides and they were each delicious. The owner was super friendly and a great conversationalist! Mediterranean food is one of my favorite food types & this restaurant did not disappoint! Very glad we are getting more variety in Midland. I got the chicken gyro and my husband got the beef shawarma - excellent and fresh! The baklava is probably hands down the most fresh that I have ever tasted. I ordered a chicken shawarma wrap and was served a lackluster chicken fajita disguised in pita bread. My husband ordered the beef gyro plate and was not served a beef gyro. We're not entirely sure what meat was used. The real kicker was the girl serving the food mispronounced "gyro," which was a definite red flag. The food at Heroes is delicious. We took our 4 kids and basically ordered their entire wrap menu and the Marga Plate. Everyone cleaned their plate (except the Marga Plate which was significantly more food than the wraps so we got a to-go box). We all loved the sweet potatoes and the shawarma. These are not flavors you can get anywhere else. The Marga plate, in particular, was unique and delicious. The service was friendly and personal. Can't wait to come again. read more
