Absolutely awful experience. Dr. Reyes and JAVID YAVARI could not have cared less about the overall wellbeing of my 2 y.o. who had a reaction to the medicine that they were giving for dental work to apply a crown. My child's breathing became labored, and began to cough and could not catch breath. They took off of the gas to recover for about 20 mins then I went and got them from the back room. I called my child's pediatrician while I was there and explained what was going on and the pediatrician told me not to leave the practice and call 911 immediately. I went back to the front desk to speak with the doctor who started accusing me of making my child worse! Even though the medicine that JAVID YAVARI administered was the reason this negative reaction occurred in the first place! My child is in my arms coughing, clearly in discomfort yet there was no compassion nor concern with trying to help me! I left and drove straight to the ER to get my kid some help. I will be complaining to GA Board of Dentistry. read more

My kids love going to THIS DENTIST (not in general, just Dr. Nath & his staff). They've cool games, toys & tv to entertain the kiddos, a cute & comfy waiting area, an online patient portal that is user-friendly, fast but efficient as is their checkin & out process. Absolutely amazing staff, you can tell they care & are enthusiastic about helping kids with their dental health journey. They have a unique way of making this a fun exploration, learning about what's happening in their mouth & teeth as they grow, then the visit feeling like a plain ole dental cleaning & checkup appt. I would give them a negative 10 they make your appointment but don't tell you what to expect, first time we scheduled an appointment for fills, after they finished the first filling I was told my son was 19 and they can't treat him for filling..!!!! the information I gave them on the phone was very clear that he is 19 years old, I was told don't worry, we can take care of him till age 21. today was cleaning, which they annoyed the hell out of me with calls, emails and text to confirm, after they said the insurance doesn't cover 3 month cleaning, even though when they made the appointment I was told because he has braces insurance will cover 3 month cleaning. I have never seen such unprofessional employees, and act like they are stupid and they say sorry !!! what a waste of time read more

I've been taking my kids here for years because of our insurance. They are incredibly unorganized. Once I brought my daughter in for an appt to get teeth pulled. When we got there they said she didn't need her teeth pulled and we didn't have an appt. They have also tried to pull the wrong tooth, so you have to be hyper vigilant. Always call and make sure they remember you have an appt. And don't bother to fill out the paperwork they send because they won't get it and you'll have to do it again when you get there. read more

I had nothing but great experiences from the dunwoody location but this one you should run not walk! They are horrible with their customer service. They cancel appointments "because the dr doesn't want to work late that day" via voice mail and then a month later call you saying your child is due for an appointment! Keep in mind I called three weeks ago to inquire about the appointment and 45 minutes later realized I was dealing with an incompetent person, ask for a manager and stil today haven't heard a word from a manager!!!!! So if you don't care about service and how they treat your child you should check them out. However if you do, I'd go anywhere but here! read more

I was sorry to see any negative reviews. For the person who says they are disorganized, I would say perhaps you are not an established patient for they have gone through office staff personnel changes recently and most medical offices can have a rocky transition. With that said, I have never experienced this. The office staff has always been courteous, professional and effective in my opinion. I have a special needs child who has been to Dr. Nath for nearly six years now. They have been so great to us, his little brother goes too. I will never forget the kindness of Dr. Nath on our first visit. We live about 25 miles away and we still make the journey to see Dr. Nath. On our first apt. We were pretty late and Dr. Nath was in his car ready to leave. He stopped his car and said he would see us. That is NOT a person who just cares about the money. That is a person who saw a single Mom with a special needs kid, and he got out of his car. I have so much respect for Dr. Nath. Also, I only go in afternoons and I rarely wait long even when crowded. The hygienists are great, thorough, caring and they answer all of my questions. They honor when I request no x-rays or no fluoride which I do occasionally, they are patient with my children. They always let me go with my kids if I request and that includes my not special needs kid. I do not have to attend with either child now because I trust them and there has never been an incident. How could you not like a place that is so centered around kids making it fun for them and has such a relaxing ambiance, huge waiting room for parents, fun movies for kids and balloons when they leave and has a caring competent staff! Please! Some people are just spoiled I guess! He and his staff love kids, love what they do and they are very good at what they do. Give them a second Chance. read more

Just over a year later and today I got a bill in the mail for the same amount as last year, after the debt was settled out of court.

I wish zero stars were an option. This is the only dentist we have used for my daughters who are now 14. One of my daughters had a trampoline accident a few years back and had to have a root canal. She has extreme dental anxiety and we ended up having to put her under general anesthesia for it. For the past year and a half to two years this dental practice has been stating that we should have those two teeth crowned. I have been waiting hoping that her dental anxiety would lessen as she got older but that's not been the case. About a month ago I called and scheduled the appointment to have get the crowns. I made sure to reiterate her dental anxiety when I made this appointment. Yesterday I called to remind them of her dental anxiety and ask if they had any suggestions to ease it and they did not. I took a day off of work and made plans for some fun activities for us before the appointment hoping to take her mind off of the anxiety. One hour and 15 minutes prior to our appointment I received a voicemail from them stating that after reviewing her x-rays they realized that the two teeth that needed to be crowned were permanent teeth and that they could not do that I would need to go to a general dentist. Needless to say I was infuriated my daughter had worked at her courage for this appointment and an hour and 15 minutes before they advised they can't do it. I called and spoke to the office manager Lee and ask why this could've happened. She stated that My daughters record reflected that the recommendation for this procedure was to be done in their Milton office. I asked why I was not scheduled in the Milton office and she gave me a very flippant I'm not sure. I then explained I would be taking my business elsewhere to another dentist and she very smugly said, "That sounds fine." If you want to go to a dentist that respects your business your time and your trust stay far away. read more

Terrible Practice. They require prepayment and will only file with insurance once. So they wanted $3,000 cash for what was $150 up the road. Now they are clearly filing medicare claims all day, but if you can pay for care "screw you". Adding insult to injury they charged $15 to give my my child's X-Rays that I had already paid for then said they would take 72 hours to transfer the files. (they did do it same day when begged). These people are not in business to provide care for people who need care, it is only about money and them. read more

My son has been going there for a couple years and we've never had any issues. He actually looks forward to his visits. Today, I was very impressed. We went in for a regular 6 month cleaning and I had concerns about his lower front permanent teeth coming in faster than his baby teeth could fall out. (They were right behind his baby teeth and we've been keeping an eye on it for a couple months hoping they would come out on their own.) They assessed the situation and recommended extraction of the baby teeth. They were able to get us in the same day which is a bonus because as a teacher, I have limited availability. My son came out from the procedure smiling and happy and was excited about losing his first two baby teeth. (I think Mama was more worried than he was!) Thanks!!! read more

My son had sliver caps on teeth on March 2017 at Roswell location! Almost two weeks later, he got infection and lost two teeth! Coz his face got swelling and we went two emergency room to get those tooth out ! First time we went to ER didn't had doctor right away and sent us to second ER! Our dental assistant was awesome. She had a wonderful smile and really made my son feel comfortable so they could pull his tooth.

My kids have been going here since 2006. They are busier now and it can get busy in the afternoons but we request morning appointments. They're consistent in their customer service and really try hard to please my kids. We love going there. We have never had any problems with our appointments or anyone being rude. It has gotten busier over the years but all my friends who still there seem to have no complaints. read more

Do not walk... RUN from this place! They over charged me and even though the Insurance company has called them and told them they have over charged me they will not refund me the money! I never saw a doctor at all for either of my 2 children. Took my youngest for orthodontic consult, NEVER saw a actual doctor and the SALES person couldn't answer my questions. They wanted to charge me over $5000.00 for my daughter to do the 1st phase. I just did not feel comfortable with this due to lack of me seeing the dentist and the reasons why she needed this work. I took her elsewhere and it is only costing me $470.00 instead of the over $5000.00 they wanted! This makes me wonder if my oldest really needed her teeth filled to begin with! My son has been going to this facility for 8 years and I have never had any complaints. We have used the orthodontic department as well for his braces. Parents are not allowed in the treatment area which has proved to actually be a great benefit for the kids and the lobby is very relaxing for the parents. I have never had an issue seeing either the dentist or orthodontist if I had a question. My son has absolutely no fears of the dentist and has never had a cavity! read more

Not wowed, but not disgusted. My son (who is 4) doesn't seem to mind this office, but I do. Our first experience was not bad, but our second experience was not up to par. First of all, I was told that I needed to pay out of pocket for x-rays that my son just had 6 months prior. He doesn't have a history of cavities, and according to Delta Dentals website "low risk" kids should only be x-rayed if there is a history of cavities or suspicion of one on exam. The front desk asked me to pay for these upfront before my child was even examined by the dentist, which I thought was crazy. Also, I had my five month old baby in tow and thought there was an abnormal amount of running around from room to room to discuss payment and the exam, which was just inconvenient. Never saw the dentist this visit. The office staff and hygienist did all the dirty work. All in all, I think we can do better. read more

Wish I could give them less the one. HORRIBLE NIGHTMARE. I took my 8 year old daughter here at the referral of a friend, thinking it would be good. We went here as she was referred by my orthodontist that she needed to extractions, mostly for crowding in her mouth and to make room for new teeth to come in. So I took her initially for cleaning and examination, which of course they don't allow to be with your child. I completely disagree with this. In any event they took her and then called me back later only to tell me how poor her teeth and gums were. (she has had regular dental visits, so this came as a surprise to me) I felt they were trying to make it sound worse so they cold get more money for more services this should of been a red flag for me. I then asked about the extractions, which we ended up doing that same day only a few hours later. We went back in and of course God Forbid I be with my daughter during this. I had a long discussion with the practice manager about this policy. She had the gall to tell me its just like if she was going into OR at a hospital getting major surgery. I laughed and said your comparing your dental office and pulling two teeth to something like that? I was upset they would not let me go back. I almost said forget it and was going to take her someplace else but I relented and I was told that if she asked for me they would bring me back. I patiently waited in their waiting room while they attended to my daughter. A long time went by and then finally I was told she was done. Immediately I see she has been crying but she couldn't talk to me as her mouth has pieces of cotton it it to stop/stifle the bleeding and of course her lower jaw had been numbed. I literally held my daughter in the car as she cried and cried. I was at such a loss as to what to do. My daughter could not communicate with me and all I could do is comfort her. About 4 hours later at home she was still struggling with all of this but managed to tell me that they told her to hold up her arm if she felt pain or wanted her mom and she said she keep holding up her arm but they just kept pushing it back down. I was horrified!! What the hell?? They couldn't call me in to hold her hand or anything to help her through this??? OMG I thought I would lose my mind. Immediately the next day called the Practice Mgr and told her this in which she did nothing about it except apologize and quote policy and this is the way things are done. I told her I would NEVER refer another person here and would leave a bad review as I don't agree with this kind of treatment. We all have enough phobia about the dentist anyways and they certainly proved to me why!! Be very wary of any dental offices that don't allow you to come sit with your child.... cleaning her teeth ok.. but anything else, and certainly anything that requires sedation or numbing with medication I think you should be there with them. They say parents present make the child more nervous but to hell with that.. I say we can also be a source of comfort as this can be very traumatic experience. Thankfully we have a wonderful dentist and orthodontist now! My advice, don't go here! read more

I am very unhappy with this dental office. At my son's appointment yesterday the treatment plan was not reviewed with me ahead of time. They took x-rays that I did not approve, they tried to give him a fluoride treatment that I was not told about and did not approve. Luckily I went back with him for his cleaning and stopped the hygienist before giving it to him. The gal that "took us back" blamed the hygienist, and then separately the hygienist blamed the girl that "took us back." They each said the other was supposed to review the treatment plan with me. I have had the same issues previously. They tell you matter of factly what they are going to do during the appointment, assuming that you consent. Thereby doing xrays when unnecessary and providing treatments without asking first. Then to top it all off, they scheduled the next appointment without asking me first, without asking if I wanted a next appointment or if the month and date were OK. I received an email saying that they scheduled an appointment with a month and date 6 months in the future. I replied to the email asking them to cancel the appointment and not reschedule. Ten minutes later I got a call from the office asking me when I would like to reschedule. When I asked if she saw my reply to cancel this appointment, she said no. This practice cannot be trusted. They are doing things as they choose. They have no regard for the patient. I feel this is borderline malpractice. Surely it can't be legal to render services without consent. And surely it must be fraudulent to bill an insurance company for services that were not approved by the insured. Especially when minor patients are taken back into the treatment area without the parents. Luckily I insisted on being present for the treatment, but however, I did not know what xrays were being taken. STAY AWARE FROM THIS DENTAL OFFICE! read more

It's pretty ridiculous that you can't stay and watch your three year old get there first cleaning because of policy; so they can talk about treatment over the children ( "because THEY don't understand" ) and they wouldn't want the parents to hear. What are they trying to hide and can't they afford an office to talk over treatments so that we can be a part of our child's visit?! I'd also like to physically see the problems in my sons teeth instead of trying to imagine from the paper version of my sons mouth and degree of cavities. These are my children and my money, I'm not going to just take their word for it! And I can't believe they are still pushing fluoride after all he information about how deadly poisonous it is! AWFUL!!!! I had called prior to my visit to ensure that I could go with my sons for their cleaning/exams and to verify my insurance. I get to the office and was told I could not go with my child. I simply said, then we will leave. All of a sudden, I could go back with my boys. After waiting for another 15 minutes was told my insurance didn't cover the visit. I told them to call again b/c I had verified and that their office was on the phone with me at the time. An hour later they wanted me to pay upfront. We walked out. Very unhappy with how unorganized and unaccommodating this practice is, I would NOT recommend this practice. read more

My daughter needs a lot of work done on her teeth as I was told by the unfriendly dental assistant (no smile coming from her!). The doctor (Dr. Patel) does not even show his face to tell you the work that needs to be done and if you have questions his assistant goes to the back and ask and comes back to tell you each answer. They expect me to trust putting my daughter under sedation at their practice when you can't even see the dentist.......right! I would not trust these people because they are all about the money and not even building a relationship with their patients. They are tacky!!!!! I would stay away from this practice if you are looking for a friendly dental place and a doctor who truly cares about his patients. UPDATE:- Amanda, the reviews speak for themselves about your office policy of not meeting the dentist who wants to put your child to sleep. Appt was at 1:20 , was there at 1:10 and my kids got seen at almost 2pm! ..... Very disappointed. ... people were coming in and was gettin called within 5mins , went to ask if theres a problem , lady told me no that they are insured but waiting on a fax from the insurance. I didnt understand if they have insurance and you spoke to them and confirmed they had it why did you make me wait so long to call my kids up? You guys could have started on them while waiting for that fax. And why wasnt i informed that you guys was waiting on whatever it was you needed? ..... not to mention while i was waiting i got a call on my phone from the same lady at the desk asking me when im bringing in my kids to see the dentist???? I have been at other two practices and the reason why I returned to Roswell Pediatric Dentistry is because of their customer service. They are very nice and respectful. We haven't stayed there more than one hour, Janice is always super sweet to my 3 year old son and tries her best to make him feel secure and comfortable. Dr. Patel was very patient and sweet with my son as well. So it really surprises me to read all these negative reviews. Thanks God it has not been our experience. The only reason I am not giving them five stars (yet) it's because I noticed that the facility does need a little TLC (New paint for the walls and maybe new stain on their hardwoods in the dentist's room. Waiting room is really nice and comfortable) and because I was told that on our next visit my son would have to be treated without me being with him so he learns to be comfortable at the dentist without my supervision. Even though I understand their reasoning, I am not comfortable with that and I hope we can postpone that for maybe some other time when he's older. Other than that, I am very pleased with their service and will return next year for our next appointment. read more

No longer a patient here.....FED UP. Each appointment we have had was the first of the day....yet we had to wait and wait. Not sure why since we were the first of the day. Then, when you are finally called back for your appointment you sit and wait some more. Then when they finally get to you they are rushed and disorganized. The final straw came when they called to reschedule an appointment that I made 6 months earlier....to an afternoon appointment nonetheless. If we wait forever as the first appointment of the day I can only imagine what a miserable experience an afternoon appointment would be. I rescheduled after speaking to the office manager who said that the "only person working that day was going to have an emergency and would not be there the morning I was scheduled". While I think it is great to be able to predict an "emergency" a week in advance I became fed up and found a new dentist. I immediately called back and canceled the appointment that I had rescheduled only to have both myself and my husband receive a call the morning of our appointment wondering where we were. What don't you understand about "cancel the appointment we have found a new dentist and will no longer be a patient of this practice. GET IT TOGETHER PEOPLE!!!!! read more

They've treated my children for four years, and we have always received great service from them.

They are the worst dentist I have ever been too! Not only do they not allow you to accompany your child they advise procedures that are unnecessary. I have full custody of my 12 year old "bonus" son and they refused to see us without his mothers written consent even though we let them copy our court order stating this. They are rude over the phone and even more so in person as well. Next, my daughter, at age 3, was accidentally kicked in the nose. Days later the front right baby tooth began to turn black, upon reading up on this we scheduled an emergency appointment for her. They took x-rays and then, though the tooth was not infected or abscessed suggested we extract BOTH front teeth. We got a second opinion and they said we should take more conservative approach and allow the tooth to fall out on its own. Only one tooth fell out and the other front tooth is fine. Glad I didn't let them pull it. Also they pulled one of my sons baby teeth claiming it to be a cavity ridden. Another second opinion later, it was only calcification. These people are crooks! Also when I called to have my records transferred they want $15 per child to email these files to the new dentist. Save yourself the trouble and do not go her... They have 2 other offices and are in process of building 2 more. Their focus is not on care but on making money to install things like video games and TV screens in their offices. Lastly when I called a new dentist to make an appointment she said I was the 3rd person to call and transfer to their office that day, and say how terrible they are. If that isn't proof for how bad these people are then I don't know what is. read more

Vishant Nath is with out a doubt the biggest baby I have ever met. I went to go check on how my autistic son was doing during treatment. I peeked in the window of the room and when Vishant saw me he threw his hands in the air and tossed his tools on the floor and stomped out of the room WITH OUT finishing what he started. He is NOT professional at all. He could have easily said, Sir your son is fine and I'll be out in a minute. Instead, he chose to act like a big baby and every time I remember this I'm going to tell as many people as I can as to what kind of dentist he really is. If we weren't in our ortho contract; I would bail. They have very little convenient appointments and if something comes up and you try and change within a good time frame, you may have to wait up to an additional 6 to 8 weeks. I m not talking last minute cancelling, but within a good window. It's because they are not in the office everyday. I wish I knew that before. read more
