Well no more, I actually now enjoy my 6 month check ups. My dental hygienist is the friendliest, extremely talkative and always remembers the little details. I was shocked that although I only met her for the first time 6 months ago she was able to remember my occupation. I can only imagine how many patients she sees in a 6 month span but to remember just one little detail about each patient is pretty impressive. I like how she doesn't rush and takes her time, I know for a fact that she is thoroughly cleaning my teeth. I like how she educates me on tips to keep my teeth clean and step by step explaining details of what she does. He even opened his office & had his wife come in to assist him when I was having a problem. I don't know of any other dr that would do that for a patient! Dr Peloquin was the best dentist I ever had and I only stopped going there because he was retiring. I will never forget how he went above & beyond for me with his great staff like Anna & Vicky. They've never botched a surgery or filling. The secretaries are very nice and so are the dentists. Dr Sloan and her sidekick Cheryl can get pretty deep into the small talk during a procedure. That never really bothered me, but I could certainly see it bothering others. They take a while to get with the times. I think they got a TV in the waiting room and started using email for reminders/communication maybe 2-3 years ago.

I didn't like this and was growing frustrated with having to re-explain my dental history each time to a new person. Very difficult to build rapport when the staff is constantly changing. While that frustrated me it's not what made me leave. What made me leave was the fact that I had a crown placed by them and it broke 2 or 3 times within 1-2 yrs. I learned the hard way that Dr. Sahani doesn't put a warranty on his work. This gets very expensive as insurance won't cover the same tooth again for 5 years. I left for another dentist who guarantees their crowns for 5 years, and they were also appalled at the materials that Dr. Sahani used on my crown. They said if a crown keeps breaking there is a stronger material that can be used and they couldn't believe another dentist would keep using a cheaper material on me when they knew it was breaking. I was honest with Dr. Sahanis team when they called me to schedule my next cleaning: I said, your office doesn't provide warranties and I can't afford to shell out $2,000 three times in one year. They just said Ok and let a patient of many years walk out the door. This practice used to be one that I recommended to everyone, but I can no longer recommend them and suggest everyone ask about warranties before getting any major dental work done.

They do pretty much soup to nuts in terms of dental work including routine cleanings, fillings, and I believe teeth whitenings as well so it can be a one stop shop for dental work. Travel here is also pretty painless as there are a few parking lots within easy walking distance of the office with quite reasonable rates. There's also metered street parking but if you prefer mass transit, the green line has the Kent St. stop literally across the street. Love the office and have never had any reason to complain to or about Dr. Sahani or anyone on the staff. They do fantastic work here.

I did need a crown, which he was also good in being able to do on the spot with instrument in his office instead of waiting for months. Plus, he took extra care to make sure my bite was okay, etc. I would recommend him and his practice. My mother and daughter also see him. The office staff is also always friendly and caring.

Dr. Jeffrey Harrison and Dr. Suzanne Gendel have both worked on my teeth (and addressed my fairly complex dental problems), and I have greatly benefitted from their expert care and deep and broad knowledge of their field. I've had everything from simple fillings to crowns to extractions and implants (implant surgery is performed by Dr. Harrison, who heads the practice), and I trust them and their chairside staff completely. They explain everything--including all my options--and do so in layman's terms and with patience, welcoming all my questions and addressing my concerns, including about costs. I've never once felt that I was simply another patient in their large and successful practice; I'm always welcomed (by name) and treated as though I were the only patient they were seeing that day. On top of all that, both these dentists are extremely conscious of my comfort level when in their chair, and I have never once felt any pain as they worked on my teeth. Even the (lengthy) implant process was surprisingly pain-free and easy. Dr. Harrison and Dr. Gendel also give very specific instructions following any procedure more complicated than a filling, and their kind, courteous, and well-informed office staff call me the next day to see how I'm doing. Believe it or not, I actually look forward to going to the dentist now that I've found this practice. I highly recommend this practice and never hesitate to tell friends about it. These are without a doubt the best dentists I've ever had--and I've had MANY over my seven decades of life!
