First: I thought it was a little weird they have you wear a blindfold for the actual sedation, but I thought it was just supposed to help the atmosphere or whatever. It would up being so you don't see the needle. The told me I would be out of it when I was being injected with any needles and wouldn't remember it because of the oral sedation, but unfortunately it's the only part I remember and I screamed because it was so painful. They should have warned me up front honestly about this, but they didn't do now I'm warning you. Secondly, I asked them to make sure to please use a stitch since we were removing a molar and I have poor wound healing. They said they would but when I woke up said they said they were unable to because my mouth was too small? What? I had my wisdom teeth out with stitches applied and there was NO issue there. Because they didn't use a stitch, I suffered a dry socket. It was painful but when I went back they didn't really even look and they were entirely dismissive. It took an additional two months to heal and the additional filling they did fell out. Because the work they did was so bad, I called them up and told them I wasn't comfortable getting my cleaning there and to cancel it and refund that portion of my bill. They tried REALLY hard to get me to reschedule but I have no intention of going back there. They refuse to refund the cleaning they didn't give me however. So basically I have no filling, took FOREVER and was super painful to heal my pulled tooth because bad technique- and no. I wouldn't recommend.

I had a very disappointing experience with this dental office. I scheduled an appointment six…read moremonths in advance specifically for a teeth cleaning, which I clearly stated at the time of booking. However, upon arrival, I was informed that my appointment would last two hours and include X-rays and mouth photos--none of which were mentioned beforehand. When I explained that I only wanted a cleaning, the hygienist consulted with Dr. Khanani, who then informed me that these additional procedures were a requirement--not for insurance purposes, but was their office procedure. While I agreed to the X-rays, I declined the mouth photos, as I was only interested in a cleaning at that time. When I asked why these procedures were mandatory, Dr. Khanani responded that they "build trust." I expressed my frustration that this policy was not disclosed when I scheduled my appointment. Rather than accommodating my request for just a cleaning with X-rays, I was asked to leave. Because I didn't want photos taken? If you value transparency and patient-centered care, I would not recommend this office. Their priorities seem to lie more in what they can bill to insurance rather than in meeting patients' individual needs.

From the crew at the front desk, to my new hygienist, and most of all to Dr Khanani and his assistant I was treated with the utmost respect!!! As a new patient I didn't know what to expect but wow totally impressed with everyone!!!! Dr Khanani replaced a broken crown on the back tooth which was made right there in the office same day so no going back a second time!!! Dr Khanani explained everything along the way that made you at ease and yes folks I even heard from him the next day to see how I was doing!!!! Class

I asked her should I make a different appointment to somewhere else she say no she can do it this time for me and literally take her five minute. She's clean for me and it's not even worth the time. It's like in and out I pay with my private insurance. This is the worst experience I ever have. Nothing is clean it's usually take my old dental 45 min but it's far so I want to give it a try somewhere close to home . Some dentists I've met go on dental cruises, some have expired licenses on their X Ray Machines, and some rather ask for fees than stay in contact. But Dental Elements is NONE of these. I've found them all a compassionate crew of dedicated orthodontic experts determined to make a positive difference in every client's dental health. Your mouth is not just a collection of teeth, not to you, and not to Dental Elements. To myself and other patients, I consider the staff warm, friendly, and prompt, from sending appointment reminders or communicating via text to helping us feel comfortable in the waiting room or while seated in their office. I found the expertise and consultation they offered in service to dental needs making me consider the calcium in my mouth more valuable than any other polished mineral, metal, or gem. I can't do the community of Dental Elements enough justice. Every 5 minutes, she was reiterating her point. I get it, lady, I am an adult and of above average intelligence. I do not need you to keep making your point. When she likened scaling my teeth to "scraping barnacles off a boat" I knew that I'd never return again. Why would she feel the need to shame the patient? But it got worse. The hygienist was really ruthless in her cleaning. And just when I thought she'd finished, she said, "That was the first pass. Now I'm going to go back for the second pass." Why was she not doing it right the first time? Never have I been to the dentist and had such a painful and debasing experience. I stopped her before she could polish my teeth and "teach me how to floss and brush my teeth." I am 37 years old, with a mouth full of teeth....I think I've figured out how to do those two things by now! I was already annoyed at the administrative side of this practice as they require you to pay for services upfront and then you have to collect reimbursement from your insurance company. This is inconvenient as then you have to take a check to be deposited, but it also points out how over-priced Portnoff's practice is as her fees consistently exceed the allowable deductions. My family will be finding a new dentist and I caution yours against going here.

This is an extremely well run dental office, and a new facility which is only a few years old. The…read morewaiting room is comfortable, even though I rarely wait more than a few minutes. The staff is friendly and professional. But one of the biggest perks of using this dental practice is their laser drilling. I've only needed work on one tooth over the last 10 years I've been using Dr. Shustak, and he performed that procedure with a laser. That meant no pain, no injection and no Novocain numbness!
