Do NOT rent from this location. Terrible customer service, terrible attitude, rude employees, I could keep going. Went to pick up during operating hours. No one was there with the door locked. Waited half an hour until finally some one showed. No apology for making us wait and acted like they were doing us a favor by showing up at all. Went to return the car and once again no one there and the doors were locked. Waited almost an hour for someone to show up. There were two employees both had left the store unattended for almost a hour. When I told them they needed more help that we had been waiting for almost an hour Her response was "oh well". She was rude, arrogant, and couldn't care less about the customer. I even tried calling the one 800 number while we were waiting. They tried to contact the store and could get a hold of no one. They told me to just leave the keys inside the car and lock the door. That's totally unacceptable. I'm not gonna be responsible for their negligent and running their business. read more

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE PLACE!! Be aware!!! SCAMMERS!!! Don't rent from this Hertz!! This was my first experience having to rent a car and my worst experience ever. Im very inexperienced in this area and didn't know what to expect, and of course they took advantage of it. They see you come in and all they see is dollar signs.I was not explained thoroughly on how their insurance works and didn't even know I could decline it. I was told they were going to put a $162 hold on my credit card and returned when I returned the rental. Today when I returned the rental they charged me $1029!! Because they say I signed that I agree to pay this insurance fee DAILY for as long as i had the rental. read more

Going out of town my pick up time was for 11, I pre checked before coming in and I have now been waiting for over an hour there are several people waiting and only one employee. The one employee is taking phone calls waiting on customers and washing cars this girl is around like a chicken with her head chopped off. I appreciate her hard work but I won't come back. read more

Had an online reservation for a Monday AM rental. At 8 AM, I arrived to find several people ahead of me. The computer was down so no one could get service for 30 minutes. By then, the only car available was not yet cleaned or gassed. Since I was already late, I took it anyway. Car was fine. The return 2 days later was smooth. Conclusion: They need more help on Monday mornings, or need to come in earlier to make sure things are ready before opening. My mother was in ICU at a nearby hospital in Houston. I was supposed to turn my car in at the airport but was afraid to leave the hospital for that long. When my husband called customer service to see if I could turn it in at a different location, Hertz told us there would be a $400 fee if I did that. I took my car to this location and explained the situation to the man behind the counter. He could see what distress I was in and generously offered to bring the car to the airport for me and waive the fee. I will be forever be indebted to this kind man. I wish i had thought to ask for his name. If not for his actions, I would no longer be a Hertz customer. read more

Went to pick up my car. Very busy at the counter. When it came my turn, The assistant manager said my car needed to be washed so it would be a few minutes. I told him I had waited too long already and would take the car the way it was. He brought the car to the front; It was an SUV, I had reserved a standard car. I told him that was not the car I had reserved and would NOT take it. He informed me that the car I had reserved was at a facility getting the oil changed and I could wait if I wanted, it would be back in 20 minutes or so I waited. Finally got the car and when I got on the street I noted that the gas was at 1/4 full, the contract said it was full! Went back and got that issue resolved and finally got on my way. When I have a reservation I expect the car to be waiting for me when I arrive to pick it up. Apparently Hertz doesn't view this in a similar manner. read more

I called the Friday before I was supposed to pick up my rental car from hertz the champion forest location of cypress parkway in houston said I would have plenty of options to pick from so Monday I called for them to come pick me up and they said they didn't have any cars till 10 when I was stuck at the repair shop so they did go pick me up and put me in a nissan rogue it had cigarette ashes and smelled nasty I immediately called the manager and returned it he gave me a 2013 camry it has been really nice expect for now the lience plates are going to expire so I called yesterday to inform him he said I need to call roadside assistance and that he didn't have any other cars that if I went to bush intercontinental airport I would be able to pick my car in my car class that I was approved for so after getting my case number from road side I went to the airport, they sent me to talk to a manager mr. Thompson he told me all he could do was downgrade me a class that he didn't have any vehicles in my full size class. So I called roadside assistance back and the guy I spoke with left me on hold then hung up with me so I called again and got to speak to a manager he told me if they didn't have my class they should of upgraded me a class so he pulled their inventory and said they had 58 available vehicles. The manager of roadside assistance spoke to Mr Thompson and he refused to give me a car so the manager of road side assistance said he would flag Mr Thompson for not following policy. I called my local hertz to inform them what happened and asked him to please find me something I get off work at 4 30 he said he would try and let me know something by 4 30. so 430 came and went no calls I called 3 different times to only be told he didn't find me nothing which is fine but I can't understand why after everything I wasn't given a simple phone call to be informed. I have never been treated so bad by a rental car company I will definitely never come back. read more
