Annette, the only person at the Westin Hertz location, said she could not do anything more because she was closing and wasn't sure what happened. She even had the wrong credit card for me. She sent me to a nearby location to someone named Natasha who was the manager of that location. She was supposed to be able to fix it all. Another employee who answered the phone at the other Galleria West Loop location said Natasha wasn't in but was helpful enough to call her. I overheard her tell Natasha that I was the customer for whom Annette had messed up the paperwork. I was then told to hold after they realized I could hear them. Annette was by herself, something I have almost never seen at car rental agencies. I have no idea if anyone was properly trained, but I was treated poorly at both locations. No apologies that they did not honor my contract. Its not clear they will not charge me for the stranger to whom they gave my rental. Stay away!!!

It was a bit busy so I'll give him that however, he handed me the keys to check out a minivan that I hadn't reserved so that I may see if I liked it. Needless to say, it looked as though a tornado went through the vehicle. Filthy, was an understatement of what it looked like. Luckily for me, I had also made reservations at another Enterprise in Bay Area just in case and that one actually worked perfectly with the large SUV I had reserved and the staff there was very professional. At the time of pickup, a Hertz employee conducted a vehicle inspection with me present. However, approximately 30 to 40 minutes into my drive, the air conditioning system completely stopped functioning, making the vehicle undriveable under the conditions. | immediately called Hertz customer services to report the issue. The representative confirmed that there were no replacement vehicles available in my area, leaving me with no alternative. She then instructed me to return the vehicle all the way back to the Houston branch where I had originally rented it. This was not a viable option - driving back to Houston would have caused me to be significantly late to my destination. With no solution offered by Hertz, I had no choice but to return the vehicle to the nearest available branch. Upon returning the vehicle, the agent at the drop-off branch requested that I pay for the time / had used the car. While I did not wish to cause a scene as she was polite and understanding, I made it clear that i did not consider this fair given the circumstances. She acknowledged my concern and kindly provided me with the contact details to raise a formal complaint. With no rental vehicle and no replacement offered by Hertz, I was left stranded and had to arrange my own transportation to reach my destination in New Orleans. Finding an Uber proved extremely difficult, as multiple drivers cancelled due to the long distance involved. After nearly an hour of failed attempts, 1 was finally able to secure a ride. In total, my Uber fare to New Orleans came to $262.74 + $200 cash tips To be clear, this entire ordeal -- the stranded wait, the difficulty securing transportation, and the additional costs - was a direct consequence of Hertz providing a faulty vehicle and failing to offer any meaningful assistance when I called for help. 1 am therefore requesting the following: 1. Full refund of all Hertz rental charges: $557.75 2.
