The best part is they said they had no vehicles at the same time I had an email with a rental agreement saying the agreement had been adjusted to someone I did not even know and I would be responsible for payment. Annette, the only person at the Westin Hertz location, said she could not do anything more because she was closing and wasn't sure what happened. She even had the wrong credit card for me. She sent me to a nearby location to someone named Natasha who was the manager of that location. She was supposed to be able to fix it all. Another employee who answered the phone at the other Galleria West Loop location said Natasha wasn't in but was helpful enough to call her. I overheard her tell Natasha that I was the customer for whom Annette had messed up the paperwork. I was then told to hold after they realized I could hear them. Annette was by herself, something I have almost never seen at car rental agencies. I have no idea if anyone was properly trained, but I was treated poorly at both locations. No apologies that they did not honor my contract. Its not clear they will not charge me for the stranger to whom they gave my rental. Stay away!!!

It was a bit busy so I'll give him that however, he handed me the keys to check out a minivan that I hadn't reserved so that I may see if I liked it. Needless to say, it looked as though a tornado went through the vehicle. Filthy, was an understatement of what it looked like. Luckily for me, I had also made reservations at another Enterprise in Bay Area just in case and that one actually worked perfectly with the large SUV I had reserved and the staff there was very professional. I had read other reviews posted prior too but still tried to give them the benefit of the doubt just in case they had improved. Renters beware!!

Enterprise said card was now locked and I had to do this in person In the morning. I arrived in the morning and let the location know. They ran the card 2 times it did not go thru. I told them funds are there it is locked in your system. The person didn't believe me and suggested I call the bank which I did in front of him and the bank said they got no attempts on their side. I told them again the their Enterprise system locked the card on their side and the issue did not come from the bank. They kept insisting it was the bank and when I got upset they said they were not going to talk to me with my raised voice and to make sure I gave them the key because I was not allowed to leave with it - I could not have another day. My response was that I was not a thief. yes, I gave them the key back and now writing this review. In the middle of these events #2 below was going on as well at the location at the same time. 2) I called the 1-888 number and asked for a manager at 1-888 number. The person who answered was nice but didn't know how to help the situation as she tried to run the card thru snd it didn't go thru. I then asked for a manager. The manager typed in the info I gave her and sent it to the people I was talking to in front of me. Then she hung up on me. Awful employees, had to listen to a five minute dissertation on how bad their system is and how bad their business is before I was ALLOWED to ask if I was getting a truck. BTW, the excuses given were ludicrous. I was told that my reservation was made for a location that never has trucks. Employee then called back later trying to again hook us into a reservation instead of canceling. She tried to take back all of the hateful things she said to me the first time. Wasn't having it. Want nothing to do with them. Would never use them again. Something wasn't right with the entire situation.

The inside of the car was obviously not well-cleaned as I found a Starbucks cup and a cup from a greek restaurant under the driver seat. Prior to returning the car, I cleaned the prior driver's trash and even lint rolled the seats. The car was returned in cleaner condition that it was rented to me. The vehicle was inspected by an employee at the time of drop off. I was issued a receipt for the rental that addressed no concerns regarding the car. I was not asked to sign for any additional charges (there is a place on the receipt to do so). 3 days later an additional $172 cleaning fee was added---on a car that I cleaned for them prior to dropping off.

Also they need to repave their parking lot. The lot is full of potholes, and when it rains it becomes a lake and you can't see the potholes!
