They earned their low ratings. They never called me to let me know they received my rental booking from Allstate. The guy was very unhelpful on the phone. Gave me no options for upgrades from a crap economy car. Seemed bothered that I actually asked about car types due to medical reasons. Poor work ethic. Told me it would take 1.5 hours for them to pick me up when I live less than two miles down the street. Thankfully I called Braeswood (Meyerland), who were so much more professional. They picked me up in 15 min and upgraded me without question. Never settle for lazy, crappy service with attitude. I see the business has responded to this comment. The customer service was amazing. I like to judge service companies by not only the job done, but how they respond when the job is not done correctly. I reserved a car for Easter weekend, but upon arrival, they didn't have anything available. They were low on staff and I was not able to leave till 2hrs later. However, after returning the vehicle, I received a follow up call inquiring about the service received. I expressed my disappoint about the time it took to receive a vehicle and not only did they apologize, but I was also given a small credit towards my bill for the inconvenience. I would absolutely give this place 0 stars if I could, I would actually give it NEGATIVE if I'm being honest. I will try and keep this short, but not sure that's even possible... The location itself is not bad, but the manager by the name of RICK BLACKMON is by far the absolute most awful person they could have hired to "run" this location. He is a liar, a thief, and a con artist. He continued to charge my card on file for a total amount of $630 when I was only supposed to pay a deposit of $50 when I picked up the rental car, and then get the $50 back as soon as I returned the car (which I never received the deposit back to my account). He continued to charge a total of over $200 even almost two months AFTER I returned the car!!!! Every charge that was taken out of my bank account was NEVER authorized by me, nor was I aware that it was going to happen. I continued to call Rick multiple times asking what was going on because my car insurance is supposed to cover the full rental and I would not have to pay a penny more than the deposit. He agreed with me saying yes, that is what was on file under my reservation but he continued to act clueless about why I was being charged and then promised me multiple times he processed a reimbursement to the card on file. This then happened two more times... I called him again asking why????? He played dumb of course, once again telling me he would reimburse every single charge that had come out of my account. I never received a reimbursement for any of the charges he promised would come back. Two months after I dropped off the vehicle, I was charged AGAIN a total of over $200. I had to get multiple other people involved to look into this. Rick told all three of us he issued a reimbursement for a total of $575 (which was less than the amount I should have gotten back) and that the money would show up my account in 7-10 business days. Well over 10 business days had passed, no money to be found reimbursed by enterprise. We called, texted, left voicemails. Rick was no where to be found. He completely ghosted us and was never going to reissue a refund. I finally got a hold of someone else at that branch by the name of Daria, she informed me that Rick had yet to authorize the payment back to me and she would go ahead and do it herself. She sent me a picture of it as soon as she did, and I got the money back within less than 2 business days. She was the ONLY helpful and cooperative person at that location. DO NOT EVER GO TO THIS LOCATION. Rick will rob you and act clueless as to why it was happening and then never return your calls. I just want to say thank you to Daria for actually being helpful with this difficult and frustrating situation even though she had nothing to do with my rental reservation there in the first place. 0 STARS FOR RICK!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

I rented from the Bellaire location a couple months ago, after dealing with really unpleasant people at the Braeswood location. From the second I walked in, the experience was so pleasant. I can't remember the gentleman's name, but he was so kind and helpful. He truly turned my day around. In addition, the store manager texted me the following day to see how my experience at their location was and ask if I needed any more assistance. I appreciate the personal touch, it really seems like they care about their business. When I returned the car, he was there with a different gentleman from my first visit and they were equally as helpful and nice. Renting a car has never been such a breeze. Shady business practice. Crappy Customer Service. Only use this location at last option. I hate to write negative reviews but sometimes it is needed and I feel like sharing my experience with fellow Yelpers! My car was in repair shop (nearby) and I needed a small/cheap car just for 8 hours to go to work and come back to pick my car. Too much to ask, eh? I booked a Compact car online, a night before, no issues. But next morning, they kept me waiting to pick me up from car repair shop, just a mile away, with excuses like, 'you are calling last mins', "it will be 25 mins", "10 more minutes" all BS! This was 830am and I was running late for work. So After waiting for 30 mins, I end up walking about a mile to their location. When I got there, they tried to up-sell me since they don't have a Compact car and want $10 more for a Full-size car. At every other car rental in past, they always give you the bigger car at the rate you booked, no questions asked. But here when I refused to pay more for Full-size car, they made me wait further and promised me to get car from another Enterprise location that is just 5 min. away. But instead they drove me 15 mins (opposite direction from my work) away to a BMW car dealer to give me a Toyota Yaris. I have no idea who's toyota was this at BMW dealer lot and why Enterprise is renting me. Super Shady. All of this, because they don't want to give me car they already had in Enterprise Lot since I refused to pay more than I booked online. 5410 Bellaire Blvd. We cannot praise this Enterprise office enough, especially the branch manager, Ricky Blackmon. Whenever I called, he always answered. Our daughter was in an accident while she was getting ready for a job transfer; she was originally told that if she dropped the car off out of state, that there would be a $1000 drop off fee. She had no choice, and drove half way cross country while her car was being repaired in Houston. The vehicle is soon to be released, and the rental was turned in to another office. I called Ricky to advise him the car was dropped off, and was ready to give my credit card info. He placed me on hold to double check the drop off policy; and waived it. I could not be more grateful. The logistics of this event has been a pain to navigate, but the end is near. Ricky made the process easier for us. Thank you Enterprise Bellaire! This is customer service at its best. This was the worst experience ever!!! Avoid this place at all costs!! I wish there was an option for 0 stars! I was charged an incorrect amount. An employee there told me what the total charges would be over the phone for the rental, but when I arrived with the rental they charged me almost 4 times that amount without a valid explanation! The rental was brought back in the same condition with no damage. The incompetent employees and branch manager at the Bellaire location need more training in customer service. He was very rude and didn't seem to care about my complaints about the overcharges. When I asked for the corporate number he argued with me and eventually gave me a wrong phone number! Ultimately, I had to look up the correct number. I don't know how they expect to stay in business treating customers like this! I'm disgusted with them! It was nearly impossible and frustrating trying to get a hold of customer service/corporate in order to dispute the invalid charges. If I could give 0 stars I would. Was left stranded for 7 hours in a small town all because the vehicle didn't have a spare tire!!!! I had already been driving for 13 hours prior. They towed the rental and left me in the cold and rain in the middle of nowhere with my brother who has a medical condition. I called roadside assistance numerous times and kept getting the run around. I was even offered 2 dollars from a woman who thought I was homeless since I'd been there so long! That is so embarrassing! The branch manager Rick was trash. He let me bring the car in a day late and that's it. I was up for nearly 30 hours straight. I was not compensated for my trouble at all. He was aware of everything that had happened. He even found it amusing and laughed it off. I asked to speak to his manager Shavar and he ignored numerous attempts to try and contact him. This branch is ridiculous. I will NEVER rent another vehicle from Enterprise again. They care more about their cars than people. Mike Cole was very unprofessional. They gave me a car that did not accommodate my car seats. They supposedly were trying to find me a replacement, but never got back to me. When I would call, the hold time was over 30min each time. When I called other enterprise dealers and found the car quickly, they told me they had no one to go get it and swap it out. I understand they are understaffed, but I don't tolerate laziness and people who waste my time. Not using them again. read more

Wow!!!! I can't believe y'all would take advantage of "Hurricane Harvey" victims here in Houston especially after they were trying to do the right thing. Filing false claims that a vehicle is TOTALED when it really wasn't - is a Federal Offense last time I checked! You threaten a young, HARD-WORKING man that you're going to "report the car stolen" if he didn't turn it in after being 2 days late due to the roads being impassable & he went out of his way to park it in a safe spot, so it WOULDN'T get wet and DIDN'T get wet just so he could turn it into y'all in perfect condition. Do you know this young guy walked 5 miles through the rain to safety??? And the next day my son and I took him to get your rental car and I saw him with my own eyes drive away, and drive to your location. Don't rent from here!!! We were extremely unhappy with our experience. Unfortunately the car was not very high quality, it wasn't clean and there was a cheap plastic hub cap missing when it was rented. There was another customer who came in upset bc the car she was given was not clean either. Since my mom had to get to work, there were multiple people waiting and we chose the economy car, we just accepted our rental and went on our way. We have rented cars from this location and enterprise on multiple locations and never had issues. After returning the rental we were charged over $150 for the plastic hub cap that had fallen off before we rented the car. This is absolutely ridiculous since you can buy a set of four hubcaps many places for less than $50. read more

Never ever use this enterprise! I dropped off my car on December 31st and they didn't put it as returned until January 6th! I was charged for double the amount of days I actually had the car! I called the corporate phone number and STILL have not received a refund! The guy at enterprise told me he could not check me out due to the collision repair company covering the costs for the car. So not only had I been told my car was paid for but he also did not give me a receipt. I will never use enterprise again! I had the car for 4 days and was charged for 9. Totally unacceptable and such poor customer service. It has been almost two weeks since I notified them of the mistake. I have still not been refunded. Don't risk giving your card information to this company. You run the risk of being charged for more than you think. read more

So, this will be brief. My problem with enterprise is the hours. I showed up at 7:30am and they did not open until 8:00. However, when an agent arrived he came up to my car and asked if he could help. That's about as good as it gets. I need to applaud them for customer service. I realize things can always go wrong. This place is disaster. I needed a car in the morning to get to work, I reserved the car the night before, I got my confirmation number, I even called to confirm that I will have a car when I get there. But surprise surprise, I came there early in the morning just so the employee there to tell me that there is no car for me and he can get me an upgrade for $40 more. NO!!! I reserved specific car a day before, I don't want any upgrade. Later on, a car was returned, car that is the same type as I have reserved (compact), I asked about getting it and the same employee told me that car is also an update and that he will call me during the day when a car get available. I DIDN'T GET ANY CALLS the whole day from him, I lost hours of figuring out how to get to work and I needed to explain at work why I can't make it when I said I will. All this struggle because this employee wanted to make some extra money on me and scam me. I liked Enterprise before but after this I have my doubts, I usually don't hold gouge but something need to be done to that employee that wanted to scam me. The lady that help get me into a car was wonderful. When we return the car not even 24 hours later the assistant manager noticed a tear about 3 inches in the bumper you had to bend down to see it. I drove this vehicle home and that was it and the next morning drove it back to enterprise to return. It was definetly over looked when I rented the vehicle. You can also tell that it did not just happen it has been there a while (we will have our insurance deal with it) the problem was the Asst manager was not helpful and rude and when my husband asked for a manager she claimed to be the manager ( which she is not) I called and spoke to the manager and he didn't seem to care at all. Put me on hold for 20 minutes and then it hung up. I called back and the asst manager told me when he put me on hold he left to take s customer some where. I would not recommend this location at all. I have used Enterprise several times and always have had a good experience but I would not use them again especially how the manager thought it was ok to put me on hold and just leave he DID NOT CARE AT ALL read more
