    Oil change required.

    Would give ZERO stars if I could! DO NOT use this Hertz. 1. They did not have the car I reserved. I booked a full size sedan and they tried to give me a compact hatchback after telling me it was a full sized sedan. 2. I was given a car that had not been serviced or cleaned. Car was very dirty with trash and food from the last guest who used it. 3. The car stated that an oil change was required. I tried contacting the location but could not get anyone on the phone because they were closed. I had to GET AN OIL CHANGE AND CAR WASH. I have been trying to contact Hertz for 2 WEEKS after returning the car to get reimbursed for the oil change and car wash that I HAD TO PAY FOR. I have called 20+ times to speak with a manager. I have left notes with other employees to have the manager call me.... Nothing. No return calls. After finally speaking with a manager they told me they can't reimburse me for anything because I should have gotten pre-approval before getting an oil change. I tried to contact them when I saw the service notification in the car but they DON'T ANSWER THE PHONE. This is absolutely ridiculous. They have lost my business and my entire family over a $70 reimbursement for an oil change and car wash... DO NOT waste your time here.

    Hertz is on a down hill slide. While the agents do their best at this site, the corporate office is making stupid decisions in an all out total disregard for their customer base. May15th 2019 a new Hertz app rolled out, BUT they did it as a brand new separate app. The app is faster but does not have the same features and leaves the customers wondering who thought this was a good idea May18th 2019 I became aware of recent incidents with a glitch in Hertz computer system that is landing customer in jail sometimes up to two weeks.     Where do I really even start... this location is absolutely inconsistent when it comes to delivering an okay service, I mean it's a rental car location all you have to do is be present for the customer and answer the phone when you are called. We were given a Corolla with a dirty interior and the backseat was all wet gotten was what has been spilled in the car the smell was absolutely unbearable right after we left we started calling to see if there's any option to switch out the cars there was no answer for three days straight we called and there was no answer finally when we came to the location they closed before five even though OYSS they close at 5pm we came right at 4:07pm on a Thursday. Mind you even the value guys know how inconsistent you are we came back the next day on Friday the 20th of November just to find that the lady has left her post and went to chat with the hotel host we sat there for almost 10 minutes and she was watching us calling and knocking on the window she comfortably finishes her conversation and claimed that we just got here I mean we don't have to make anything up she lied in front of us saying that she was preparing a car for a client she didn't realize that we saw her on our way in. Please please it's frustrating enough to have to find a rental car that fits your need,we don't need you to make it even harder with a deplorably poor customer service.

    Unfortunately my experience with this location was not pleasant, the vehicle that i rented this past weekend was infested with roaches which i did not discover until i was two hrs outside the city limits. I've been trying to get a hold of someone for the past 3 days and i keep getting transferred and then after an hr and a half in hold the line disconnected twice. I do not live in the state and wanted to get this rectified prior me boarding my flight but unfortunately they were closed sooner then the time posted on the website and i had to drop the key in the drop box. Such a inconvenience that my passengers had to unpack our luggage outside my aunts house to make sure we were not bringing them into her home and then having to repeat on our return to Houston

I told them funds are there it is locked in your system. The person didn't believe me and suggested I call the bank which I did in front of him and the bank said they got no attempts on their side. I told them again the their Enterprise system locked the card on their side and the issue did not come from the bank. They kept insisting it was the bank and when I got upset they said they were not going to talk to me with my raised voice and to make sure I gave them the key because I was not allowed to leave with it - I could not have another day. My response was that I was not a thief. yes, I gave them the key back and now writing this review. In the middle of these events #2 below was going on as well at the location at the same time. 2) I called the 1-888 number and asked for a manager at 1-888 number. The person who answered was nice but didn't know how to help the situation as she tried to run the card thru snd it didn't go thru. I then asked for a manager. The manager typed in the info I gave her and sent it to the people I was talking to in front of me. Then she hung up on me. I thought being that it was their company they knew how to fix the situation. Not ever coming back

Awful employees, had to listen to a five minute dissertation on how bad their system is and how bad their business is before I was ALLOWED to ask if I was getting a truck. BTW, the excuses given were ludicrous. I was told that my reservation was made for a location that never has trucks. Employee then called back later trying to again hook us into a reservation instead of canceling. She tried to take back all of the hateful things she said to me the first time. Wasn't having it. Want nothing to do with them. Would never use them again. Something wasn't right with the entire situation.

They messed up and they charged me for it. Then I'm given a new rental, and I get it and the back window had been open and it was raining! I needed to go, so I left. But the car had mold spots all over the interior ceiling. The customer service could have been better. They should have waived the fuel charge given they gave me a defective tire. Also they need to repave their parking lot. The lot is full of potholes, and when it rains it becomes a lake and you can't see the potholes!

On the 800 number I waited for over 30 Minutes to speak to someone. When somebody eventually came to the phone. The representative told me that they would give me another car for the price of my reservation. The manager on duty at the time told me that they don't have any vehicles so luckily, I still had the sales representative on the phone. He heard what the manager said and he found another vehicle inside the Galleria in Houston, Texas. I told the representative to stay with me on the phone until I get to the other location. Once I got to the other location, the representative hung up on me. I asked the representative from Hertz rental car in the Galleria about my reservation. she stated that there are no other vehicles. After I wasted two hours and was not able to get a vehicle. And therefore I was not able to attend my meeting. Extremely bad. Customer Service. I do not recommend this company. Nobody should rent a vehicle from this place. There are so many other car rental places for us to rent from.

This is the only Hertz that rents Tesla and I was hoping to get one because that's the car I drive in my home state. When I handed my Cc and ID the manager mentioned that they do not accept out of state DL. Come on now I've lived in Houston for 20 years and I know for a fact that they rent cars to people who are not from Texas. This is discrimination, when a person behind the counter lies and says they don't rent cars people who don't have Texas DL and I feel this person should be reprimanded or penalized for refusing service based on her lack of education.

    Rented a replacement vehicle through insurance because my car was rear ended. When I dropped it…read moreback off (I was self pay with reimbursement) the agent was receiving an error, and deleted the insurance information before charging me. All I received by email was pictures of the vehicle. They never provided me a copy of the contract (I assumed it would be emailed). They also never returned my proof of insurance. Manager said they have no record of the contract and says it's on me to prove the rate with a contract she never provided me. Best case is they intentionally booked me into a higher rate than I actually placed a reservation for, without telling me the rate. In any case, I could have gotten a better deal myself at Enterprise without any corporate rate. At least they didn't call the cops on me and report the vehicle I returned was stolen, since that's a thing Hertz does (They paid $168 million for falsely reporting hundreds of customers who returned cars for car theft, resulting in arrests and jail time for entirely innocent people). If they can't even log in when cars are returned properly, don't trust them with anything. In addition, the car they rented me clearly had an exhaust system issue and idled incredibly rough and smelled vaguely of weed when I picked it up. Use the Enterprise on Bellaire Boulevard. They email you a copy of the contract, the cars are in better condition and they have a larger selection.
