Terrible experience. Took two different cars that were not externally marked as non rentable, had to sit in long line to check each car out only to have both cars show up in the system as non-rentable. After going through the line a third time I had to go to the desk so they could pre-check if the car was rentable. Two days later car died on the road and they had to send lyft with 2hr round trip after refusing to deliver a replacement car. Would not recommend at all. Seems to be disorganized from the very top level down with few people knowing what is going on and items wrong at every turn. Management needs to get all employees on the same page. read more

I returned a van I rented at a Hertz in Tucson. The van was dirty when I got it, but it was at closing, and I just wanted to get back home to Texas (yeah, big mistake on my part, not making a bigger fuss). I get it here, and the extremely rude, patronizing manager and employee inform me they are going to charge me $250.00 if I don't jump through their hoops and do their job for them. Then they tell me a car wash down the street has free vacuum, well yeah sure if you take your car through the car wash! Thankfully the manager there was much more accommodating and helpful than the Hertz people. He let me vacuum it for free. I took it back and was able to get my deposit back. I have never seen such a shoddily run company, employees who act like they're doing the customer a favor by acting rude and patronizing! I don't care what it costs, I will NEVER use Hertz again and will blast what happened to everyone I can on social media. They shouldn't be allowed to treat customers like we're an inconvenience instead of what drives their company and pays their salaries! I'd give them zero stars if I could! read more

This review has nothing to do with this specific Hertz location, but Hertz as a car rental company in general. I've been a presidents circle member for many years and have built up over 13,000 hertz gold points. I've noticed my hertz account points dropped to ~6,000 gold points without any being used or transfered. I've sent numerous emails to their customer support contact and have reached out to the numbers provided in the email response. The phone numbers lead only to automated messages that tell you to go to their website. Their website does not provide any assistance. I've been going back and forth with emailed responses that get me nowhere and phone numbers that don't allow me to talk to a human. The customer service at Hertz is a joke. I will not rent any cars through Hertz moving forward. One of the perks of traveling for work is to be able to gain points through companies. When a company takes away half of your points and fails to provide an answer why it ridiculous. I've since switched to National and have had a great experience so far. Again, nothing against any one specific Hertz location. Everything against their customer support center. read more

I made a reservation online for same day pick-up. About 15 minutes before I was supposed to pick up my car I got a call saying they didn't have any cars. Ok so can you contact other locations to get cars? No, everyone is out. Ok, what are you going to do to solve this problem? I can put you on a waitlist. Ok, what number will I be on the waitlist? 8. From a neighbor..."I rented a car for a week from the Hertz on SW Freeway at the Four Points Sheraton. I turned it back in today and was charged $150 for an interior cleaning fee. Nothing unusual occurred in the vehicle although I did leave two empty LaCroix cans and a plastic cup since there was no trash can available for me to use. Definitely the worst rental place I've ever been to in my entire life. They gave me a car with a bumper taped to the fender because it was hanging off in the employee had absolutely no class at all. I was scheduled to pick up at a certain time in 30 minutes later he was still not there. I will NEVER return here and I advise you don't either. This location and Hertz's corporate office have been very difficult to deal with. I used them for a rental car while my vehicle was going through an insurance claim. The gentleman who runs this location operates it through his personal cell phone which does not have a voicemail that is setup, so getting a hold of him is nearly impossible, I've had to drive over there to get any answers. Hertz's corporate line also won't handle disputes and refers you back to the local location. Twice now they have failed to bill my insurance company and simply charge to my Credit Card. To make matters worse I told the man that I wanted a car that would be completely covered by my insurance policy, but it turns out, he put me in a car that has a base rate of $20/ day when my policy covers $20/ day. However that rate does not include taxes and all of Hertz's fees, so my 17 day rental has now put me on the hook for $90 of charges. My rental agreement did not list these taxes and fees. read more

Terrible. The employees are more interested in playing around with their colleagues on the phone than dealing with customers. The office is small and dirty and is the worst Hertz office I've been to. It was the worst expererience with Hertz. I rented the car for memorial day weekend. I called Hertz 1-800 about returning a car to a different location since the location was closed where I picked it from and the guy hung up the phone on me when I asked this question. Adelina and Spartacus are two amazing people. They have no reason to go above and beyond for my family the way they did. We're in town from Philadelphia for our son who had a procedure at TCH. We budgeted. a 5 day rental and when we went to return the vehicle, Adelina insisted I hold onto the car for the next 6 days while we were in town in case our 2 year old had any medical issues at no extra cost. Then!!!! She allowed us to return the car to the airport instead of her facility because she knew we had an early flight... We didn't deserve their generosity but we really appreciated it. This facility is definitely family oriented, and I never thought I would say that about a car rental facility. Thank you thank you thank you!!! read more

I arranged to have a rental car picked up here through my insurance, while my car is being repaired. We arrived this morning (during normal business hours) to have a (clearly non-official) sign across the door saying they'd stepped out and would be back shortly. I decided to get a ride to work, and that I would deal with getting the rental car later. I called this Hertz location three times to ensure there would be someone there and that they would have a car. No one answered, and instead of a recording, it said the voicemail had not been set up. I called my insurance to change to a different rental car company, but apparently somehow they managed to get ahold of this Hertz location and said I could go right away. I showed up to the Hertz location again in the afternoon, since apparently no one was working earlier. The office is cramped and unkept and frankly, crappy. There was a giant fan blowing in the corner, while a man at the desk pulled his earbuds out and looked up from his personal laptop (which is sitting next to the work desktop). I immediately felt like I was a nuisance because, he had to stop watching Youtube or whatever he was doing, and help me. He asked for my name and then asked for my drivers license and credit card. I handed over both and asked "What's going on my credit card?" He said a $50 deposit. Okay, fair enough - would he have told me this if I hadn't asked, or just processed my card? A little more information, then he handed me the keys for a Toyota Corolla and says I'm all set. (I was never given a choice despite their being four total cars out front. No big deal, I can live with a Corolla.) I went out and looked at the car, and it had several scratches on the hood and sides. I peeked inside and there was a chocolate stain on the drivers' seat. Also, it smells bad/smokey. This guy hadn't inspected the car with me or anything. I headed back inside to clarify with him. I opened the door, and he turned down the volume from his laptop (clearly I've interrupted him again). I asked "Do you know that car has scratches and a stain on the seat? Usually placed inspect it with you..." He said "Oh, yeah, it's already been checked out before you took it. The stain was already noted at the last location it was at. And any scratches under 5 inches we don't really pay attention to." I just looked at him bewildered. Anytime I have EVER rented a car, the person has always inspected the vehicle with me, carefully noting any marks. I just walked out. If they try pinning any of those scratches or the seat stain on me, I am going to be irate. RUN away from this location. Rent a car ANYWHERE else other than here. read more

Friendly fast service... Car choices were limited but the location is very convenient

Just had the worst experience ever at Hertz. Made a reservation the day before, came to pick up the car, office closed. When someone finally does show up, instead of a car they have a wait list of 6 people and no cars in the parking lot at all! They tell me: 1) it's my fault because I arrived at 12am for a 10am appointment time (although no one in the office when I arrive) and; 2) that they tried to call me at 8:50 to say there are no cars! Note the logic flaw- they didn't. 3) that I can get on a waiting list of 6 people and maybe get a car around 4pm. I remembered Hertz as being a better rental agency, I guess things have changed. Where do I start? I booked a reservation for a vehicle for 2 weeks at the Hertz location. I took a taxi there and found that there was another gentleman waiting outside with me for the office to open. When the two employees (including the manager) arrived, I was told that because I had recently made a reservation and they had a list of people before me, there would not be a car for me. The other gentleman had made his reservation well in advance and he was told that they did not have the class of vehicle he had reserved - only larger and more expensive. While he was arguing with them about the fact that he should not have to pay extra for the rental because the error was on their part, I called Hertz customer service and after a long rigamarole, was told that a complaint had been sent to the manager and the area manager would be in touch within an hour. I told customer service that I am sitting outside the office,are you sure it will be an hour? The gentleman said absolutely and I sat to wait the hour. After an hour I left. 8 days later, I called Hertz to follow up because I did not hear a word. After 10 minutes, the first person transferred me to the branch without asking me. I called back and the second customer service person transferred me to a supervisor and it rang for almost 2 minutes without an answer. I called back and the third person apologized and transferred me to the supervisor, who explained that they had sent an email and there was really nothing that they could do, but that the branch manager did care and would be contacting me. She told me that she could send another email and I asked, "what is going to make the manager respond to this email any differently from the last (remember 8 days without any response)? She told me that she really didn't know, but she could transfer me to customer service and they would be able to do more - that was interesting beause I got connected to her via customer service. (Anybody sense the run around yet?). I was waiting to be transferred and the phone mysteriously got cut off! With persistence, I called back. I got the fourth agent, who transferred me successfully,to customer service and spilled my tale of woe one more time. She actually listened and then told me that there wasn't really anything they could do. She offered me the phone number to headquarters (2013072651), which rang and rang and rang without any kind of message or voicemail. More fool I! But I have not given up yet. Moral of the story- DO NOT RENT AT THIS LOCATION!
